It is battery operated, though that is purely for the music, the head does not rotate or anything. I has an on off button and only plays music (in our case Hannah Montana "Rock Star") when you place pressure on the head, i.e when you are brushing your teeth. My daughter loved this and kept brushing for 2 minutes. Happy mummy. She uses this toothbrush everyday and it is still ...more

Premium Review Tooth Tunes Toothbrush: Boogie with your brush! (698 words)

The product I will review is "Tooth tunes", for anyone not familiar with this product it was apparently (according to my 6 year old daughter), the in thing around Christmas. I shouldn't really know too much about this product due to the fact that "Santa" brought these little delights for my children as part of their Christmas box, but here we go anyway!! ~~~~~~ THE PRODUCT ~~~~~~ Tooth Tunes are effectively toothbrushes that play music, sound pretty crap don't they, I know that's what I thought when they were brought to my attention, they are in fact a little more than that. The toothbrushes come in seven different colours ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review What time is it??? Teeth brushing time (718 words)

My daughter had the usual long wish list for Christmas presents this year and apart from the pink ds everything else seemed to have high school musical preceeding the name of the present. I had the high school musical dressing gown, pjs slippers etc. and then just a few days before Christmas I spotted a high school musical tooth tunes musical toothbrush in Boots and thought it would just complete the set. The toothbrush which is similarly sized and shaped to your average toothbrush claims to be a new innovation in toothbrushing as it plays High School Musical's "What Time Is It?" through your teeth up your jawbone and into your head for the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tooth Tunes Toothbrush: Mummy! I can hear voices in my head! (646 words)

I first saw these bizarre sounding musical toothbrushes advertised about eighteen months ago and I couldn't decide whether these were a brilliant idea or an expensive gimmick! When I saw the advertised price per toothbrush as being £7.99 I decided that they were the latter as there is no way that I would pay that much for a toothbrush, however great they may be! When I spotted them for sale at £2.99 each in Wilkinson's last December, however, I thought they must be worth a shot at that price and one found its way in my oldest son's Christmas stocking! The 'unique selling point' of these toothbrushes is not just that they are electronic brushes marketed at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Liven up your smile (295 words)

Last Christmas Santa very kindly put a tooth tunes toothbrush in my sons stocking for him. He was really excited when he unwrapped it, especially when he discovered the song it played was Queens - We will rock you ( he is a budding rock star). To open the packet we had to get a pair off scissors as it was made of the thick see through plastic that is glues together round the edges. Once we got it open my son rushed to the bathroom to wash it and put his favourite minty toothpaste on it. He put it in his mouth and it appeared like nothing was happening. When I looked closely at it, I realised that you have to push the brush piece back ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tooth Tunes Toothbrush: Brush to the beat (240 words)
by - written on 22/08/08 (Very useful, 64 readings)

'Tooth Tunes', made by Hasbro, are toothbrushes which play music as you brush. The makers claim that the music "plays through your teeth so you hear it in your head". Apparently then, it uses your teeth and head as an amplifier to resonate the sound. In reality, the brush can be heard at a fair volume without it even being in your mouth. The sound quality isn't very good - but what do you expect from a toothbrush! When using the brush, the volume of the song can be raised by increasing the brushing pressure - whilst benefitting those who are hard of hearing - it's not necessarily a good idea to encourage kids to brush too hard. The good aspect of the ...  Read the complete review
