Toothpaste is a modern day resource that we take advantage of in order to keep your teeth and gums clean and in good order. I have no idea how cavemen would have kept their teeth healthy apart from sandstone and some sort of solution - doesn't sound good. That's even if they realised that teeth needed taking care of.

You can get all different sorts of toothpastes nowadays including those for sensitive teeth, to whiten teeth and ones to give your breathe an extra long-lasting freshness throughout the day. I personally use toothpastes from the Colgate range as they have many different varieties on offer and all of them do a great job.

I know many people who use the Sensodyne range too, which are made especially for sensitive teeth. It helps to calm the sensitivity and won't hurt your teeth. Toothpaste should be applied not just on your teeth but on your gums around your teeth too. You should also brush the inside, top and outside of your teeth - top and bottom, very well.

I like to gargle toothpaste around before spitting it out and if I'm off to bed, I won't fully rinse my mouth, as it's good that some toothpaste will sit on your molar teeth for a bit longer. You should use mouthwash alongside toothpaste to help freshen breathe and kill all bacteria in your mouth. Toothpaste is an excellent invention and I don't know what it'd be like without this simple, yet excellent invention!
