Advantages: Cleans your teeth thoroughly
Disadvantages: Strong taste
Have you ever tried Ultrabrite? I have. By accident. I was staying at my then boyfriend's house and it was all that was available in the bathroom cabinet. I soon learned to take my own toothpaste in future. Ultrabrite is a toothpaste that comes in a Blue tube. It is a White toothpaste and best suited for people that want really white teeth or have stains to shift. However, it is extremely strong tasting and leaves your mouth with a very cold feeling. It has a very strange texture. It is almost grainy on your teeth and you feel like there is a powdery texture left on your teeth when you first use it. I think it is very high in fluoride which is the main reason for the cold feeling in your mouth. What it does do is leave you with exceptionally white teeth. You actually feel like it has removed all the layers of daily grime from your teeth and they feel very smooth and clean. The taste can be related to a very strong mint. Not your normal spearmint that puts me off brushing but a very VERY strong peppermint that leaves your tongue tingling. I like the taste but some people may find the sensation it leaves in your mouth as unpleaseant. It depends on your tolerances and how much you appreciate white teeth. I actually find out of all the Whitening toothpastes, this does the best job. It cleans, freshens and leaves my mouth feeling alive. It also freshens your breath by removing all of the nasties that live on your tongue. They could not survive under such harsh toothpaste conditions. People I would not recommend this to would include: Children ( a bit too harsh for their young mouths) Sensitive people (might cause irritation) It costs roughly £2.25p for a tube of Ultrabrite. I have seen it on the shelves but refrain from buying it. While it does all of its jobs excellently, I prefer a more sublte brand of toothpaste. My husband normally picks it up when he goe
s shopping. Old habits dies hard with some men!
