Advantages: Smell georgeous, Great stuff, Cheap
Disadvantages: Didn't discover it sooner
Now, I know this section is supposed to be for Vaseline dry skin cream, but its practically the same thing as what I'm writing about here.
I suffer from very dry skin on my face, and I HAVE to remove my make - up every night and put on a thick layer of moisturiser, otherwise I'll wake up with big, wite dry patches around my mouth and forehead. (This even happened when I did take my make up off!) Not nice, especially as it can't be covered up, and make up makes it look even worse!!
I tried loads of different moisturisers, but still could never get rid of the tight feeling my skin had.
One day, in Asda, I saw a cream called 'Vaseline Intensive Care, Essential Moisture, For Dry Skin.' I thought I might as well try it, although I didn't have very high expectations considering how cheap it was. I went home and that night put some on... Two days later, I had the smoothest skin I've ever had!! And since then I have never woke up with dry, white patches!! Unbeleivable, isn't it!!
Now the cream is actually hand and body lotion, but it works fine on my face and it has got a georgeous smell to it. It goes on easily and smoothly, and soaks in in minutes, or should I say seconds. On the tube it says it has a 'Multi - Vitamin complex', just so you know!
On the back of the tube, the Vaseline people have wrote;
'Vaseline research has developed essential moisture - a hand & body lotion that gives skin the essential moisture it needs to leave it feeling healthy, smooth and touchable every day. Easily absorbed and non - greasy, Essential Moisture is ideal for use all over the body.'
Now, I'll write the ingredients out for you, although they probably won't mean much...
Aqua, glycerin, stearic acid, paraffinum liquidum, glycol stearate, triethanolamine, hydrogenated polydecene, glyceryl stearate, petrolatum, cetyl alcohol, stearamide AMP, dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, retinyl palmitate, sodium PCA, urea, Magnesium aluminium silicate, carbomer, parfum, disodium EDTA, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, propylparaben, caramel, cl 47005
Pretty scary isn't it? The thought of putting all them chemicals on your face!!
Well, I'd certainly recommend this product to anyone. Its very cheap considering what it does. Mine cost me £1.97 for a 75ml tube, which goes a long way.
Thanks for reading :o)

- 26/03/06 My face was getting very, very dry and I'd tried different moisturisers and none of them seemed to be working. I decided to do a search on the Internet and came across BubblyGal's review so I thought I'd give it a try. All I can say is thank-you to BubblyGal, this lotion has made a huge difference to the dry skin on my face too :-) |
