Advantages: Small size makes it ideal for on the move.

Disadvantages: Nothing!

Dry scaly hands, the worst thing ever, I was desperate for hand cream, searching the aisles of Superdrug for something that was cheap, cheerful, but more importantly, not greasy or sticky. I tend to find in a lot of 'hand creams' the result is sticky, the smell icky and it seems to stick to your hands for such a long time.

The problem in our office is that they use Carex handwash, this seems to be my hands' nemesis, as soon as I have dried my hands the skin on my hands dries up and goes all scaly and uncomfortable. I needed help.

After debating on several kinds of hand cream and body cream and decided upon a 75ml version of Vaseline Intensive Care Dry Skin Lotion for about £1.50. From the size of the tube I assumed it was for hand care, but investigating further after purchase I realised it is general moisture cream. The tube is a pale yellow colour with the Vaseline logo clearly branded and a navy blue applicator. On the front of the tube it tells me that it has vitamins A & E and is a multi vitamin complex, it also tells me it hydrates and replenishes. Which is exactly what I needed. On the reverse more good news it tells me it is a fast absorbing non greasy lotion - my prayers had been answered.

~Does it live up to the claims?~

In a word - yes. It does. When opening the tube you smell a fresh smell, not unlike a very mild fabric softener I suppose. The cream is a pale yellow colour and is very thick. As you start to rub it in your hands, you can fell it getting absorbed in. As soon as you have completed your hand rubbing routine within seconds it has absorbed, and that is not to say evaporated, as it feel like you have softer hands. It seems to work on dry cuticles as well to eradicate that awful mess they make when they are dry.

You can eat food pretty much straight after without having a mouthful of cream taste(not licking your fingers though). Which is reassuring, but the smell does remain, only if you smell it close up. It doesn't feel greasy at all or uncomfortable on the skin, but you do know it is there, after 10 minutes or so the smell has faded almost to nothing and you could (probably) lick your fingers with no nasty aftertaste.
All in all a fantastic product which lasts for ages. I would definitely search this out to buy again for my dry hands!

Summary: Excellent hand care !
