Well, yes, it's a bit embarrassing but it's true - I am one of those unlucky girls who gets a bit too much hair on her upper lip. I used to go to a salon to get it done, which was quick and (almost) pain-free, but it cost around £6 a time, so when I saw these in the shops for around the same price I thought I might as well give them a go. The pack contains 20 strips so that's 20 waxes for the price of one! Based on the fact that I use one strip per session every 5-6 weeks, a box lasts me around 2 years! Though they are designed for the face, you can use these strips for any small area like eyebrows but I only use them on my upper lip.

The packaging for this product is really nice, pink and girly. The shea butter and berry is a nice touch too. The shea butter is supposed to make your skin softer and the berry adds a pink colour to the wax and makes it smell a bit nicer.

The pack comes with a handy instruction leaflet, which tells you all you need to know really, but here are a few of my tips borne of a few years' experience:

1. The wax on each strip is surrounded by an empty area of paper. I recommend cutting off this extra paper lengthways, and cutting each strip in half, that way you have a smaller strip that it is easier to use.

2. Warm each strip over a candle flame before using it. You have to be careful not to burn yourself, but you'll find the waxing works much better than just warming the strip between your hands like the packet says, and it is less painful too.

3. Only 4 Perfect Finish Wipes are included in the pack: this is not ideal as really you need one wipe per wax strip. I use a little bottle of Johnson's Baby Oil and cotton wool to remove the wax once I've run out of wipes.

Overall, I do recommend this product. I've learned to achieve a level of hair removal equal to what I would get in a salon, though I do get a couple more spots in the days immediately after waxing than I did when I went to a salon. The biggest advantage is that using these strips is much cheaper! Also, you can wax in your own time instead of having to remember to make an appointment at a salon.
