For a long time I worked as a model and then I gave up but now after meeting an amazing photographer here on this very site I have got back in to the world of modelling and I am once again a slave to my body and my appearance. Part of this slavery requires me to keep my body hair free (yes completely hair free).

The type of modelling I do would not allow for me to have an underarm 12 o clock shadow or a stubbly ladies area so I have to either shave or wax religiously.

As shaving leaves me with a rash which also does not look good in my photos it has to be waxing but the trouble there is that I am rubbish with that hot wax and separate strips carry on and I tend to hurt myself as well as leaving tiny un-waxed areas.

Going to a salon to be waxed is simply too expensive so what other choice is there? Well the only one I know of and the way I always wax now is with Veet Ready-to-Use Wax Strips. These wax strips come with a thin layer of blue wax already on them and they work as simply as you apply them to the area to be waxed and then pull them off, no heating, no mess and no missed bits.

The strips come stuck together in the box wax side to wax side but they peel apart very easily but if you are left with an odd wax strip the chances are when you go back to use it, it will be ruined because it has had its wax side exposed.

Each strip measure approximately 20cm in length and 10cm in width and the wax goes completely from edge to edge making them easily big enough to do your underarms and lady area with very few strips but they do take a good few strips to do your legs.

Veet reckon you can use these on hairs as short as 2mm and I would say I agree with that because when you wax as regularly as me then the hairs are very, very short yet these strips leave me smooth and hair free every time and no shadows either (the camera never lies)!

You can buy these in 20 or 40 strip packs but quite confusingly you only get 4 perfect finish wipes which ever size pack you buy, surely double the strips should entitle you to double the wipes!

These strips are not suitable for your face so if you have a rogue hair on your lip or if you are someone who likes to do their eyebrows with wax rather than plucking then these are not for those purposes.

As I say though I have used them everywhere else and had no bad reactions to them nor have I ever had any trouble removing the hair, these strips simply leave me feeling smooth and hair free with no embarrassing rash or redness.

The price of these seems to vary greatly depending where you buy them, I have seen a 20 strip pack costing as much as £6.09, I buy mine from my local Savers store and a 20 pack costs me £4.58 and if I go for the large 40 pack they are £7.98 so obviously better value for money.

I would strongly recommend these wax strips to anyone but as everyone's skin is different it probably makes good sense to test these on an inconspicuous area to make sure you do not have a reaction from them before you go ahead and wax off everything just to find you turn a nasty shade of red or your skin comes off with the hair or something horrifying like that.

You do get the option of a sensitive skin version of these strips too so if perhaps you do have regular reactions to other types of wax`s then the sensitive ones would be a better option.
