Smoothness? Not on my legs! (Veet Ready-to-Use Wax Strips)

Advantages: Easy to use, and instructions clear

I bought these wax strips last week in Tesco as they were on offer for £3.00. I think they were down from nearly £5.

I haven't waxed my legs in a long time, and have used razors instead, but as the nice weather was here I thought that I would give waxing a go instead. I wanted to show my legs to the world, and not have to worry about shaving them nearly everyday. Shaving your legs is fine, but, as we know, the hairs come back quickly and your legs can feel like a cactus!

I had not shaved my legs for around a week, so I thought that the day I bought these strips would be the perfect time to try them out. Just to let you know that I bought the sensitive strips.

When I got home I decided to try them straight away (I can never wait to try things like this!). I went and made myself comfortable in the bathroom and read the instructions carefully. You do recieve some wipes within the box, so you can remove the excess wax from your legs and I kept these handy and at the ready.
The instructions told me to warm the wax strips up by rubbing them in the palms of my hands, of which I did, and then place on your leg and rub downwards, so the wax is distributed properly. Then I had to pull the strip off my leg in an upwards motion. It tells you to do this quickly, as this will not only help to remove hairs, but will be less painful.

All this I did, and I have to admit that the pain was minimal. It was not half as bad as I remember it from last time! I was disappointed, as when I looked at my leg it didn't look like the strip had removed a lot of hairs. Dismissing this as my eyes, I carried on and finally waxed both legs.
Again, I was disappointed. The strips had removed some of the hairs, but my legs were not smooth as shown in the advertisement and stated on the box. I still could have used a razor afterwards and shaved my legs.

The wipes that are included in the box are extremely good. I was pleased with them! The do feel a little greasy when you have used them, so give your hands a good wash afterwards.

I have some of the strips left and I intend to finish using them tonight (I don't like to waste anything!). If it turns out better tonight, I will give you an update!!
I said that I would give you an update. Well, the wax strips didn't work and it's back to the razor for me!!
