When I recently went shopping I was surprised by the lack of choices when it came to hair removal products. In the major chemist chains Boots and Superdrug and alongside the store's own brand products the shelves were overtaken by the brand 'Veet'. Veet is formally Immac, a name that is a little more familiar to me as being the brand of choice for my mother and big sisters when I was growing up. So I decided to try this although my usual brand is Boots' own. There are several different hair removal creams and waxing strips on sale from Veet in serveral different guises from pump action bottles to spray on cream. The more high-tech the product the more ... Read the complete review

Having had some not-so-good experiences with Veet in the past, I'm not quite sure what prompted me to give them another go. I suspect it was something to do with my legs being repeatedly cut during shaving and me being not brave to contemplate waxing (or epilating, before I bought my epilator recently). Either way, this found its way into my shopping basket in Boots as it was on special offer for around a pound off the normal price. ***Using The Cream*** One of the reasons why Veet and I have never previously got on is the smell. Even the supposedly nicely scented creams have smelt rather chemical and unpleasant to me. This one was no exception. Despite ... Read the complete review

In the ever searching quest to become hairfree as painlessly and for as long as possible, I was lured in by the ads for this product, coupled with finding it on special offer at £6.95 for 400ml as they were pioneering the new pump action dispenser. In the past these creams have worked well for me in that they actually remove the hair on first use. However, they always smell really badly of strong lingering chemicals and after a few days hairgrowth reappears with the disadvantage that these creams seem to be no good on just a few millimetres of hair. Anyhow, I decided to give this one a try. It's advertised as NEW Veet Hair Removal Cream for ... Read the complete review

A miracal For me anyway. I had seen it advertised on tv but I never 100% believe everything thats said. But while having a low day and in need of a pamer I went off to tesco and this product was on special offer of £4 so I thought why not. Well I have use hair removal creams before and the one thing I noticed striaght away was the smell. It didn't have that awful strong chemical smell like most others but clean smeel, hard to say exactly, not a soap smell or perfume but both of them, if you know what I mean. 10/10 for smell. The cream is very easy to apply, its not runny or thick, it's just right and spreads really well too, ... Read the complete review

Back in the day, when I was a teen, I wanted desperately to remove my armpit and leg hair for some reason (I have now decided that it is pointless as I live in Britain and like staying warm - when do I ever get my armpits/legs out? Also, it's just hair), probably because I thought it would make me more attractive to boys - even though I always wore jeans and long-sleeved shirts. I guess I thought they could sense hair, kind of like everybody in those daft tampon adverts that make out that people can sense when you're on your period. My mum used a shaver, but I was terrified that I might accidentally cut myself. When she tried to show me how to do it I just ... Read the complete review
