Advantages: removes hair
Disadvantages: messy
My mother in law gave me this a little while a go because she didn't get a long with it. I thought I'd have a go at waxing a few bits on my body and see if it did as good a job as the salon I usually go to.
The wax costs £7.99 and inside the box you get a 250ml pot of wax, waxing strips and a spatula which indicates how hot the wax is.
All you need to do is heat the pot of wax in the microwave for around 45 seconds to a minute and then check the temperature with the spatula. On standby you need a jug full of warm water to put the waxing strips into after you have used them. The warm water takes all of the wax and hairs off of the strips so they can be dried and used again.
I do like this wax but find that I get into a bit of a pickle with it. As you pull the wax out of the pot with the spatula it leaves a trail which then get's everywhere and starts to dry. It leaves a sticky mess which easily wipes up with a cloth and warm water but when you are in the middle of waxing the last thing you want to do is run to the kitchen.
My hands get really sticky which is quite annoying and sometimes I think the wax is cool enough so slap it on and then I find that it's still boiling hot and I burn my skin. That's because I am impatient though.
Apart from the mess the wax is easy to use and definitely does the job. My hairs are quite fine on mylegs and it usually get's most of them. I have also used it on Andrew who has really course dense hair and it tends to pull them off really easily too.
Once you have finished waxing then all you need to do is take a shower and the excess wax that has been left behind will comes away easily.
I would recommend that you exfoliate regularly if you are going to use this product because I didn't the first few times and ended up with lots of ingrowing hairs.
Over all I would definitely recommend this product if you can be bothered with the mess and fuss. It's much cheaper than going to a salon and I have used the wax on numerous occasions and it shows no sign of even being used!
Summary: Nice if you dont mind the mess
