“ Brand: Versace / Type: Body Milk „
I have recently reviewed Versace Metal Jeans fragrance for women. As I explained, the EDT spray came in a presentation gift box along with a shower/bath foam and a tube of gentle body milk. I am now going to review the body milk.
As mentioned my body milk came in a gift set. This was an inviting looking package with the box being of a dark metallic pink colour and the lid being of the same colour, but enhanced by silver across it.
As an individual item the shower milk ( I have then 75 ml tube) looks pretty good too.
The tube is designed, successfully, to resemble metallic pink denim.
The lid is silver and so is the lettering.
DESIGN OF CONTAINER (Ease of Use)
I thought I would include this information knowing how annoying some lids can be, and also tubes or bottles that don't stand up properly due to a poor design.
This tube has a screw off/on lid which is very simple to use and is mess free. The amount you e desire to use can be squeezed out easily.
The tube stands up well, upturned upon its lid.
FEEL ON SKIN
I used this after showering and using the bath/shower foam.
Once my skin had been dried I spread the body milk upon my skin.
I liked the consistency, which, although, called body milk, is more like the thickness of single cream!
It spread well over my skin with little effort and was lovely and smooth.
I found it absorbed into my skin quickly but left a slightly waxy feel. Although not unpleasant I was aware of this on my skin after applying, and even after dressing. It felt alright but I would rather have something which doesn't feel as if it is coating the skin.
It did moisturise but tingled very slightly. My skin is sensitive, and I found this did irritate slightly and after about twenty minutes of wearing I could feel it warm upon my skin. This product is called 'gentle' body milk but it didn't stay feeling gentle upon MY skin! I don't think it would benefit my skin if used frequently.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone whose skin is sensitive.
I was surprised that this body milk didn't smell, to me, the same as the fragrance. It was similar but, I thought, that was all. I don't find the EDT fragrance wonderful, but it improves upon wearing. The EDT spray became nicer and prettier upon wearing, but I didn't find the same with the body milk. In fact I didn't really enjoy the scent of the body milk at all. It is hard to describe this aroma, and really the best I can come up with is, that to me it smells slightly of plastic. Not to my taste at all.
The notes are of freesia, neroli and lily, slowly melting in with the heart of jasmine, rose, spiced gently with nutmeg. The base brings grey amber, sensual musk and powdery vanilla to the composition.
The body milk can be purchased as an individual item from Fragrance direct (www.fragrancedirect.co.uk) for the price of, £5.99
I am not impressed and although this may suit some people, I wouldn't recommend it. I don't consider it to be a gentle product and although there are some nice things about it such as it is nicely designed and easy to apply I don't like the fragrance or the feel of this on my skin.
