Advantages: Leaves your feet feeling soft and moisturised
Disadvantages: None really
Well it's that time of year again when we have to try and be brave and pluck up the courage to reveal the parts of our bodies that don't usually see the light of day. Feet spend at least three quarters of the year hidden away cosily beneath socks and shoes and are generally forgotten about until we dig out the old sandals and flip flops and cringe at the sight of our feet. I felt a bit like that this year, dry and cracked heels and nails in desperate need of a decent pedicure. I knew they needed help fast so when I was at a friend's Virgin Vie Party recently I decided to buy their foot scrub in order to revive my feet and put a bit of a spring back in my lifeless feet.
What initially drew my attention to the product was the rather witty name "Lift Your Sole"! I thought this was rather a clever name and definitely helped in my decision to buy. (Sad, I know buying something for the name!!)
The 100mls of foot scrub comes in a clear plastic jar with one of those lids that you clamp on with a hinged metal clamp (not sure what its proper name is!) The scrub itself is a light minty green colour with brown bits through it. The brown bits are Tahitian volcanic sand, and ground pumice and peach stones, which are there for their exfoliating properties. The scrub also contains Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil (something I have never heard of before) this is supposed to help enhance skin renewal and menthol has also been added to help cool and revive tired feet.
On first opening I was greeted with a pleasant mild minty aroma, which I was glad to find wasn't too overpowering. This foot scrub didn't really look or feel like any I have used before. A very thick and buttery texture, more inkeeping with a body butter rather than a foot scrub.
I found I didn't need much of the foot scrub for each of my feet. With it being such a thick and buttery texture a little seemed to go a long way. I liked the exfoliating properties of this foot scrub, not too harsh but at the same time still managing to waken my feet and leave the skin feeling soft. I also loved the buttery texture to this foot scrub, not only did it exfoliate well but it also moisturised the skin on my feet as well. I have found, in the past, with other foot scrubs that they can be a bit harsh and all too often can leave your feet feeling soft but at the same time rather stripped of moisture, but the Virgin Vie Day Spa Lift Your Sole Foot Scrub not only left my feet feeling wonderfully soft but luxuriously moisturised as the same time and with the added benefit of feeling cool and refreshed. A super foot scrub that really works well, giving top notch results.
This product is available from Virgin Vie. They have shops, do party plan and have a website. For more information on any of their products or indeed to check out the ingredients of their foot scrub (as there are way too many to mention here) you can visit their website at www.vieathome.com.
The foot scrub costs £10 and is definitely worth the money. It left my feet feeling great and ready to be seen again.

Summary: If you are exposing your feet then this is a must.
