Advantages: silky and smooth with a lovely fragrance
Disadvantages: none
I have to admit that there were two quite superficial things that attracted me to the Virgin Vie Pretty Calm range - the name (which I think is very clever and appealing) and the very pretty packaging! It just sounds like the sort of product that you might need after a stressful day at work and this is one of the reasons that I really like the shower gel in this range.
It comes in a very pretty pink plastic oval shaped bottle that contains 250 ml. It has a pretty sturdy flip open lid which is strong enough that it's unlikely to leak. There's a wispy pink feather running down the front of the bottle which has a calm relaxing almost sleepy feel to it. One problem with it being so pretty though is that when my five year old daughter (who is heavily into pink!) saw it she wanted some of it too and I'm afraid I wasn't willing to share! It's all mine!
The gel is very easy to dispense and you only need to pour just a very small amount on your hand in order to gain an all over lather. I tend to work up a small lather in my hands before massaging it over my body. It works up to quite a good foam which is both silky and smooth on my skin. It feels fresh and it also makes me feel very clean and refreshed. It washes off very well too without leaving any residue on my skin.
The thing that you most notice about the shower gel is its fresh light fragrance. It has a rose like smell which is lovely and very feminine. I have to say that sometimes my husband and I use the same shower gel but this is definitely not one for the men - unless you want him to go round smelling of roses that is!
After my shower my skin feels beautifully soft and smooth. I usually use the pretty calm body lotion as well and I do tend to notice that the sweet fragrance does linger quite nicely on my skin. I have also invested in some other pretty calm products as well such as the bath foam for when I want a relaxing soak and the anti-persperant deodorant and they all have the same effect on my skin.
The products are not cheap though as it costs £6 for the 250 ml bottle. However, as you don't need to use very much each time it should actually last quite a long time.
Also, it's worth noting that you can now buy Virgin Vie products on line at
www.virginvieathome.com
(instead of having to go to a Virgin Vie party). They don't charge postage and packing either which is very good and you can go through a cashback site such as cashback rewards in order to get a little back too.
I have to say that I do really love my Pretty Calm shower gel. It's very smooth and feminine and every time I use it I feel like I am giving my body a small treat. I definitely recommend it!
Summary: You'll feel pretty calm after using this!
