Advantages: LASTS A LONG TIME, SMELLS OK

Disadvantages: TOO EXPENSIVE, PLAIN PACKAGING

The title has got me singing now, "Like a Virgin Touched for the very first time".
This is how I felt when I saw the Virgin Vie range, someone at work was passing the products round and the brochure, and I must admit I was curious, so as they say, this was my very first time as a Virgin product tester.

I decided on the Pretty Calm range as I am a really tense person who always gets stressed out easily and I seriously needed some calming times.
I chose the Shower Gel and Foam Bath and even though they both cost around £5.00 each I thought because they were expensive for my standards, they must be fantastic to use.

When the delivery came, I hurriedly opened the nice little carrier bag that they came in, and peeked inside. There was the plainest bottles I had ever seen. The Shower gel was very plain looking, it looked something like from Poundland, not as exciting as I imagined it to be.
It was a decent size though, 250ml to be exact, but the plastic bottle was drab and dreary and needed a bit of life into it.
There isn't even an attachment for the shower gel to hang anywhere, manufacturers nowadays seem to be missing the point here. Shower Gels are usually used in the shower and people like to hang them onto the shower pole.
Oh well nevermind, lets try the stuff then!

After fiddling around trying to open the Blue lid and slide it back, I then discovered you only needed to flip the lid up, easy really when you know how. I always think they are trying to trick me and make it hard to open things, and laugh at me struggling, but even people with arthiritc hands can do this, simple really.
After sniffing the substance I decided to pour some onto my best mate the scrunchie. I always have one to hand, not because it lasts longer using one of these, but because it foams so much better.
It lathers up so well only using a small 10p piece worth. I washed all my body, and it's quite a large area believe you
,me.
The smell was nice enough, but not worth £5's worth of fragrance, it smelt rather cheap really, not that I'm being a snob, but it wasn't special, just an everyday smell.
It was quite floral, and flowery like, I thought it might have smelt like Lavender seeing as though it was a Calming Shower Gel.
But in a way I was glad, as I'm not keen on Lavender anyway.
I just hope if I am to smell like a flower, that no damn wasps land on me, well I suppose they are all hibernating now aren't they. I had best use it up before they come out to play again.

The best thing to get your moneys worth, is to use a scrunchie. I have had this for two months now, and I've only used half of it.
But saying that, most shower gels I use last this long anyway,. and I use them everyday.

I believe that Virgin Vie products aren't tested on animals, and they are all natural products.
I didn't come out in a rash and it was kind and gentle on my skin, I wouldn't say my skin felt any different than when I've used a Palmolive shower gel, but I suppose Richard Branson would like to think so.

Did it leave me calm? No different, I don't think anything works, I suppose a hot bath or shower makes you feel nice for a short while, but then things are back to normal.

I wouldn't buy it again, but then I've just paid another £5 for the Foam Bath as someone has just had a party and I felt obliged to buy something, even if it was one of the cheapest products in the book.

The comments are hard to do below as I thought it was an ok product but no different than a £1.99 item.
I'm only saying I wouldn't buy it again as it was too expensive.
