I saw this new product advertised and was very intrigued - buying it was quite a big thing for me as I'd been a Gillette Venus girl for about six years! It normally retails for £8.99 but I found the product on special offer in Savers for £3.99 - bargainous.

The design and colour are appealing, though not as much, it has to be said, as the Venus range. The razor comes with only one blade, but at the price I paid I don't mind having to buy more.

I tried the razor on my legs first. It was an ordinary razor, but did the job well. Produced a close shave, nothing to complain about here.

Then I tried the bikini trimmer - the main reason I bought this razor in the first place. In the past I've tried using hair removal creams, but they smell, and they are time-consuming. I'd never consider waxing such a sensitive area (!). And the manual bikini razors you can buy seemed too much like hassle. This product seemed ideal as you can do everything at the same time!

The bikini trimmer part requires one AAA battery (there's one included in the pack. It's good, because you only need the battery for the trimmer, so if it runs out you can still use the razor part. The battery is easy to load and the trimmer is easy to switch on - the button is in just the right place so that you won't switch it on accidentally while shaving.

The trimmer comes with three settings, enabling you to adjust the length of the hair you want to have, or you can remove the protective cover to remove hair completely. The trimmer is very gentle and my skin hasn't been irritated at all. I've also noticed no ingrowing hairs, which is always a good thing!

It is, however very noisy - be warned if you live, like I do, in student accommodation!

I'm very impressed with this product and I've definitely been converted to Wilkinson. What with this, and Johnson's shower and shave cream, I'm slowly reducing the number of products I need in the shower!
