Advantages: Smooth shave, silky skin,
Disadvantages: None other than the initiall cost of the blades and razor
I am not the safest person when it comes to shaving, I was often shouting downstairs from the bathroom to my other half for a plaster, (why is it when you nip the back of your ankle or knee the bleeding just won't stop?) I had tried everything from the disposable razors to my mans but then after getting an email notification about a free razor, the new Wilkinson Quattro I was off to my local Boots to give it a go, form that day shaving is no longer a 'danger' but a simple stress free task, with fantastic results!!
So the razor is a fantastic hot pink colour with an easy to grip handle that is strong and not at all flimsy. It has rubber groves which stop the razor slipping out of your hand when it gets wet. The Quattro razor is the first of its kind for blades as there are 4 of them, these are sat between 2 conditioning strips to keep your legs soothed whilst shaving.
I use the Gillette shaving gel to shave with but with this razor I find I only need a small amount lathered up on my legs to enable a smooth shave, something which I had not had before. I am not making it up when I say shaving has never felt like this before! The razorblades really do give a smooth a shave, so much so it does not feel like you are shaving, even when there are those times you are in a rush and quickly run the razor over your legs you get 100% precision. The blades remove hairs very deeply and re-growth starts after 48 hours but I guess everyone is different.
Since I tried the original quattro Wilkinson Sword have now brought out variations to the range including the travel quattro (Which comes in a case) and the quattro bakini (no explanation needed!) I have not tried sny of these but may do in the near future.
If i had one criticism it is the price of the replacement blades, £5.00 for 3. It is the going price I guess but seems alot to splash out on in one go. I find shaving my legs every other day I need to replace approx. every third week, however when I am waiting for payday I have been known to go over this but have never 'nipped' my skin. The price to buy the razor is between £7 to £9 dependant on which shop you are in.
In conclusion, this razor really did change sahving for me, no more ankles with cuts and grazes and whilst spending money on the fantastic blades at least I am saving on plasters!!
Summary: No more plasters for nipped skin!!!
