Alpha H Rejuvenating Cream
by asshaaa I picked up this moisturizer as part of a skin care set, produced by Alpha H. An australian brand who feel that skin care should be no nonsense and jam packed full of active ingredients that truly benefit your skin. This is the same skin care line as the Alpha H liquid gold which i have also previously reviewed. The ... cream is packaged in the plain white squeezy tube, with a flip top lid and black writing with the brand name, product name and usage directions. The sample provided is a 50ml tube, which retails at about £30 for 100mls. It isn't cheap, but claims to have brilliant results. The cream itself has vitamin C and Glycolic acid (concentration 10%) as its main ingrediants. The Glycolic acid makes the product into a chemical exfoliant and is used to lower the pH of your skin making your skin work harder overnight, while dissolving the dead top layer of skin. There is also aloe vera juice, vitamin A and E, collagen being the rest of the special active ingrediants. These try and heal and boost skin to give a great glow. The cream itself is white and is slightly medicinal in smell which is a little off putting. Its thick, but sinks into the skin amazingly well. Its almost as though my skin drinks it in, leaving no residue layer ontop. After about 5 minutes of putting it on the smell has dissapeared. Sometimes on application it does sting a little, and so i wouldn't recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin. Instantly my skin feels amazingly soft, and plump and i find that in the morning after putting it on my skin looks bright and a little bit clearer than the night before, as if my acne scars a lighter somehow. Alpha H claim this product is suitable for daily use, morning and evening, however i tend to use it 2 - 3 times a week, before bed only. I don't ever use it in the morning as it doesn't contain an SPF, and god help me if i went outside without SPF, i think i'd have a heart attack. But i don't use it every evening for two reasons, 1 because i also use Alpha H liquid gold twice a week and you are not supposed to use moisturiser with that product, and 2 because i don't think exfoliating your skin every day of the week is particularly good for it. The product claims to be for mature skin, i am 21 and therefore do not have mature skin, but i love it. It is very rich, and i think for me at such a young age it is best suited to a night cream, and perhaps as i age i will start to use it more and more. I'm very glad i stumbled across this product in the sample set. I have seen amazing results with this product, and i will continue to re-buy once the sample runs out. Read the complete review |

This mask is designed to draw out embedded toxins, pollutants and impurities on your face as well as unblocking pores from daily dirt and grime without stripping or leaving the skin dehydrated. Working deep down in the deeper layers of your skin ... straight away tackling problems beneath instead of on the surface where this is only a part of the problem. Masks are designed to help minimising and combat blackheads and breakouts all while deep cleansing. A facial mask is a benefit facial product and something everyone should purchase, it is good for a few reasons; it helps to draw out impurities and dead skin cells. A good facial mask used over time also improves the health of your skin long term by making it brighter, clearers out pores by removing toxins, dirt and daily grime that has built up on your face over time. A mask will make your skin smoother and to assist other facial products being applied to absorb better, which in turn means you're getting money and ingredients worth out of your products as there is no barrier your products have to get through to work. Facial masks are also a great way to boost facial blood circulation, which gives your skin a lovely healthy rosy glow. If you have problematic skin like I have please be aware you skin may get worse before it gets better as masks draws congestion to the surface of your skin quicker than it would if you didn't use a mask so don't use a mask the day after an important event. Alpha H doesn't have the best, eye catching packaging, this is due to the fact it is a salon based professional brand, who believe in their product first and the packaging last. A beautician wants to pay for her product that delivers results, not what is on the outside. I received this product in a 50ml white tube with a flip top lid that the product stands on. The full size of 100ml costs £24.00 from hqhair.com and is for all skin types. This product has not been tested on animals like all of Alpha H's products. This product comes with fantastic packed ingredients such as vitamin A, which heals and rejuvenating the skin, Jojoba, which is brilliant for balancing problematic skins and helping the skin stay clear and smooth, White Lavender promotes rapid skin healing that has been caused by acne scaring and acne itself. Purifying Clay Mask with Vitamin A also incorporate Green Clay, which is traditionally facial clay that is exceptionally good for oily, problem skin. Green Clay is also detoxifying and Aloe Vera that is a natural moisturiser, skin healer and purifier. Promotes and provides vitamins and minerals to rejuvenate the skin. As well as all this there is also Seaweed Extract is used in products to highly nourish for dehydrated skins, Macadamia Nut Oil that helps to prevent skin from dehydration, very rich in vitamins and helps fight the free radicals, which cause premature aging, Contains Phyto Sterol, helps to repair damaged skin cells. Triclosan; a scientifically proven anti-bacterial which helps to minimise acne breakouts, rare earth extracts Kaolin and Bentonite to clear congestion, Vitamin A to exfoliate and brighten and last but not least Zinc Oxide to soothe and accelerate post-acne healing, and Lavender Oil to calm and purify, wow that is a lot of brilliant ingredients that you don't always see in beauty products never mind a facial mask. In addition to being used once a week over the whole face as a facial mask, this herbal mask can also be used as a spot treatment to clear individual blemishes overnight. Opening the flip top lid and squeezing some product out, Purifying Clay Mask with Vitamin A is light green in colour with no distinctive smell, but it does have a slight mask like smell and lavender is also distinctive. This product contains no parfurm. You only need to apply this mask once a week, after cleansing my face I applied a light thin layer all over my face with my finer tips although you can use a mask brush if you prefer. Making sure I avoid my eye contour area and mouth. As soon as you touch this product you can tell how soft and creamy it is and this is more so when you apply to your face. This product glides on your face so smoothly and with ease that feels cool to the touch. As every other mask you leave on for 10 minutes before removing. Once you've applied it to your face the mask get's to work immediately. When you get near to the 10 minutes removal time you will notice the mask doesn't stay green on your face but disappears into a clear mask, if it doesn't do this then you have applied too much. Unlike Alpha-H Liquid Gold Smoothing and Perfecting Mask that doesn't dry hard on your face, this one does and feels like other facial masks I have used in the past. Removing the mask is easy; simply invest in a facial mask sponge, which you can get from any beauty shop for a £1 or so. Run the mask under warm water and hold it on your face for a few seconds so you can see the green on the mask coming through and gently wipe away, the warmth of the mask helps to dissolve the mask from your face a lot easier. Once all the mask is off you're left with very soft and clean skin. Over time my skin looked healthier and a lot brighter, so much so when I apply my foundation my skin almost looks flawless. My pores seem less open and more refined. My oil production has reduced and I now need to apply less oil absorbing power throughout the day. My blemishes are reducing and the ones I do have I do use this product every now and then as a spot treatment, but I don't do this all the time as you're left with a green mark that dried hard on your face but for an emergency it works wonders. My 50ml tube has lasted me over a month so a 100ml tube will last you 6 months plus, not only making this product a great mask but also very economical money wise and once opened you are looking at a shelf like of 24 months which is fantastic. Alpha H Liquid Gold Smoothing & Perfecting Mask
by prettypolly40 Everyone likes a facial mask; after all it is a very popular skin care product. Whether you're experiencing problems with your skin, want to pamper your skin or have a girly night in. Every facial mask I have used in the past has been for my problem skin to draw out impurities, make my skin less oily and banish blemishes, for a while ... anyway. Unfortunately for me nothing has worked, and I am still left with my problem skin and I feel like I have wasted 10 minutes of my time applying it and of course money. With my other good buys from Alpha H, which is helping to control my problem skin I thought with this mask I was in for a treat. Alpha H Liquid Gold Soothing and Perfecting Mask is different from other masks I have tried, especially as one of the active ingredients is lavender, this is something I haven't seen in a facial mask before for problem skin as I have gone for masks with ingredients such as tea tree, clay etc, so trying something new is welcoming. Lavender is a great ingredient that helps to heal soothe and assist in healing acne scaring by renewing cells, and you thought this ingredient just relaxed you? As the mask is fast acting by working on the deeper layers of your skin straight away it also exfoliates your skin deep down and not just the surface layer clarifies and brightens your skin, while making your face look youthful, firm, plump and smooth. This mask is brilliant for all skin types except for very sensitive skins and with skins with rosacea. As well as exfoliating facial masks are a good way to remove and draw out your dead skin cells and impurities that makes up of your outer layer of skin that is actually dead. Not only this, but a good facial mask will also improve the health of your skin long term by making it brighter, clear out pores by removing toxins, dirt and daily grime. Makes your skin smoother and assists in other products being applied on top to absorb better, thus getting your moneys worth out of your skin care products. Facial masks are also are great way to boost facial blood circulation, which gives you a lovely skin tone, glowing and feeling refreshed. Masks are also designed to help blackheads from reforming, draws pollutants from the air that has been lodged in your pores, remove excess oil and help in closing pores. All this is good from just one product but please be aware if you have problematic skin, your skin will get worse before it gets better as it is drawing out all the impurities to the surface before it can clear. I received 50ml of product from my Clear Skin Kit; this full size product at 100ml costs £43.95 from beautyexpert.co.uk. Of course this mask is a lot more expensive than your usual masks on the market but it is packed with ingredients such as 15% Glycolic Acid Extract, Alpha H's Micro Cleanse has 12% Glycolic Acid Extract so you're getting an extra 3% for your money. Wheatgerm Oil, which is high in vitamin E that helps, too strengthens skin tissue. Improves blood circulation and help maintain skin elasticity. It is also know as a strong anti-oxidant. Rose Oil is very moisturising and firming on the skin, which works on broken capillaries and wrinkles and last but not least Honey. Honey is simply an anti- inflammatory and works by healing the skin. Alpha H Liquid Gold Soothing and Perfecting Mask is cream in colour with a very light scent, although you can smell lavender, which makes it much more of a joy to use. Squeezing a blob to the back of my hand, the product looks very creamy and this is more so when I apply it to my cleansed, dry face. Applying this mask once a week, it feels like no other mask I have tried, it feels very creamy, very soft, cool to the touch, soothing and glides on with ease. You only need a thin layer so 100ml tube will last a long time, you can apply this mask with your fingers or with a mask brush. When I applied it all over my face making sure I avoided my eye contour and mouth area I left it to work for 10 minutes before wiping away. With Glycolic Extract you can feel it slightly tingling your skin as the product gets to work but this no way uncomfortable. As it is a mask straight away I thought its going to dry hard and I am going to be unable to move my face. This is not the case at all, yes it does dry hard but only very slightly but not like other masks, your face still feels comfortable and able to express. When it comes to the 10 minutes applying time the cream mask dries slightly clear on the skin. Wiping the mask away is very easy, simply damp a facial sponge in warm water and gently wipe away, it really is that easy, no more pulling and tugging to get masks off, which in turn can make skin red and sore. With my skin being generally sensitive I was worried at how red my face may look afterwards and what effect the product would have on my skin, looking into the mirror I can see nice results all ready with no bad reaction, my skin is a little red but this is because of Glycolic Acid sinking deeper into my skin layers and this soothes within five minutes or so. My skin looks brighter than before and feels very soft to the touch while looking and feels very clean. Using this product for over a month with my 50ml of product I still have loads left so you can see a little goes a long way while delivering the results it is meant to. My skin looks clearer, brighter; my pores are less open and more refined and blackheads are well, less black. This product is said to help heal scar tissue from acne, and I have to say it is working. Scar tissue before we're like a red circle, the size of the scar has reduced and is less red; I think long term use of the product will heal my scar tissue completely. Oil production has reduced, my skin looks healthier, blemishes that I have had previously I feel this mask has helped to heal them and I feel more at ease with the skin I am in, which is something I couldn't say before. Because it is a mask my skin got worse before it got better but this is due to the mask drawing out impurities quicker than it would on its own, but because of this my skin also healed quicker.
