Bioderma Crealine H2o Cleanser
by alfiepeaches I first heard about Bioderma through many of the make up tutorials on youtube, one of the main channels being Lisa Eldridge. I never really paid attention to make up remover as I just go with cheap supermarkets own brand and just spend a minute scrubbing at my eyeballs until all the makeup was gone. I also think the best make up removers ... (including Bioderma) are ridiculously overpriced. In the last few months though this has been making my eyes quite itchy and a few weeks ago my eye was very red and painful. My friend came to stay and went on and on about how good Bioderma is and it really is worth the high price. So I went to ebay and bought a 500ml bottle for £13 plus £2.75 postage. I have to admit I did only do it as my student loan had just come in (naughty, I know) and probably would not have bought otherwise. It came in 2 days and the bottle is huge! It is a clear bottle with a bright pink lid and a white label, everything on the bottle is written in French so there's not much I can really say about anything to with that. The liquid inside is clear and if it did not bubble slightly at the top you would think it was just water, especially as it also does not have a smell either. You use it just like any other make up remover, squeezing/pouring some onto a cotton pad and holding over your eye for a few seconds and wiping. For me personally, I wear quite a lot of mascara and eyeliner so I have to usually use 2 or 3 pads but still not much product. The make up comes off easily with no scrubbing or harsh rubbing and there's literally no trace of any black left around my eye. One of the best features of this make up remover is that it does not sting if it goes in your eyes and it feels just like you've used water to remove your make up! I can't get over how good this product is. Another great thing, which is one of my favourite parts, is that it does not leave an oily residue or feeling on your face like many other make up removers do as oily make up removers seem to be the best as they break down the makeup you are wearing. I've been using Bioderma everyday for a few weeks now and can see I've barely used any so I'm expecting this to last me a very long time so it is well worth the money considering previous make up removers and wipes I have used get used up very fast because I need more to remove my makeup. The friend who recommended this to me has had hers for almost a year and still has half of it left. I really, really recommend this, it is definitely worth the money and when mine runs out I will be purchasing another one as soon as possible. Read the complete review |

Bioderma Crealine H2o Cleanser
by evicka31 Bioderma Crealine H2O Cleanser is definitely one of the best cosmetic products ever! It is a waterproof make up remover and face toner all-in-one, it does not leavy any sticky feeling on the face and the face does not have to be washed with water after using this cleanser, what is very useful for travelling. It is very gentle, so it can ... be used for removing the eye make up too, I wear contact lenses and I don't feel any discomfort while using the cleanser to remove the eye make up. I haven't tried any other cleansers (by Vichy, La Roche Posay, Avene, etc.) yet, because I think this one is perfect, but after reading few discussions about it, this one is considered as the best one. I use it after cleaning my face with face wash gel in the shower to remove all the excess make up and dirt. Read the complete review |

Bioderma Crealine H2o Cleanser
by laurasastar Bioderma has been some what of a 'cult' product amongst the beauty industry for many years. Although widely available in France it has, until recently been difficult to get hold of in the UK. Shipping from France was available but expensive, leading to people buying it in bulk to cover these shipping costs. Luckily some UK retailers have ... cottoned on to the demand and started stocking the product. The lowest price I've found it being sold for on a trusted UK website is... Zuneta.co.uk - £14 for 500ml + £3.95 shipping (free for orders over £50) Bioderma has the seal of approval of many a make up artist who swear by it as their make up remover of choice. Obviously as part of this job you are sometimes required to do several looks on one model over a fairly short period of time. Models obviously have varied skin types, they might have oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, sensitive skin etc etc and biodermas gentle, hypoallergenic formula is agreeable and effective with all these skin types. It also combines skin care AND make up removal, so your skin is being cleansed whilst your make up is being removed. Comparing bioderma to my OTHER 'cleansing water' by Institut Karite, which is also French (I'm a bit obsessed with French Skincare) the first thing of note is that bioderma smells of nothing, where as the Karite one has a gentle, but notable fragrance. When it comes to products I put on my face I'm really not at ALL interested in them being fragranced. Fragrance = irritation to me, I always ensure my facial moisturiser has no perfume in it so I certainly don't want my make up remover to be fragranced! The second thing I've noticed with the Karite one that doesn't occur with my bioderma is that when I use the karite I can feel gentle, very mild sort of 'stinging'. Which although I have to state ISN'T uncomfortable and only lasts for a second or so it still is a difference I can feel, my skin also feels less hydrated with the karite. I strongly suspect that this is due to the fact that just glancing at the back I can see at least three ingredients used solely for fragrancing the product. Comparatively: Bioderma is comprised of only TEN ingredients, whereas Karite has almost double that. The ingredients in Bioderma are: Water PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides - (Skin-Conditioning Agent) Cucumber Fruit Extract Mannitol - (Skin-Conditioning Agent) Xylitol - (Emulsifier) Rhamnose - (Natually occuring sugar) Fructooligosaccharides - (Naturally occuring fructan sugar) Propylene Glycol - (Organic alcohol, very widely used in cosmetics) Disodium EDTA - (Preservative and Absorption agent) Cetrimonium Bromide - (Used as an antiseptic and detergent) When researching these ingredients nothing alarmed or worried me at all, but of course you can always research them for yourself if this is a concern for you. I highly recommend Bioderma for anyone who wears make up often. It really does remove every little trace of make up and leaves your skin feeling fantastic. I used to sometimes dread taking my eye make up off when using oil based removers as my eyes would be red, streaming and burning. Even with cosmetic wipes I could feel the alcohol & perfume drying out my skin, plus you sometimes had to scrub at your eyes if you happened to be wearing eyeliner on the waterline and even then it might not all come off (panda eyes in the morning!). With bioderma you can get a cotton bud, soak it in the product and wipe it along your waterline and even the most stubborn gel based eyeliners will come off. It really is a wonder product and great value at £14 for a whole 500ml, once you've used this you won't want to use anything else! Read the complete review |
