Eyeko Cream with Extra Glow
by kristiansmommy
Eyeko cream with extra glow is a lovely little tinted moisturiser that looks fantastic on most shades and tones. It's a pinky colour cream with a silver sheen to it, but is matte and doesn't have glitter particles in it, so you won't look silly wearing it during the day.
It's quite thick and you don't get much of it in the ... little tub, but you don't need so much as a little goes a long way. The only problem is that it can get quite gloopy so you have to rub a little bit longer than with ordinary mositurisers to ensure an even covering. The particles in it seem to reflect light which makes you look brighter and healthier when you're wearing it, and I feel like my skin can breathe under it so it's perfect for days when you don't want to cake on heavy foundation and want to look a bit more natural; (or even to wear alongside your foundation, on your eye bags just to perk you up a bit!)
The packaging is nice and pretty; it comes in a little pink plastic pot which I thought was really cute; (however a friend did comment that it looked a bit like childs make-up, haha!) The smell is great at first but the only thing I found is that after owning it for about a month it did start to smell a bit...well, not off, but not a nice as when I bought it.
All in all, for it's price, it's a great little tinted moisturiser and hides imperfections well. Read the complete review |

Eyeko Fat Balm
by doriee
I remember I got my very first Eyeko product in a swap for the swapping site bigwardrobe, after using the one of the best nail varnish's I had ever used, I decided I want to try more of their products, so having a little look on the internet I found this 'fat balm' to me, it's name is a little hideous and rather funny, but I imagine it's ... because it's a balm, that is just very big. [fat] My friends was surprised when they saw me using this and not my regular products as they didn't know what it was, which shocked me a little, I presumed it was a well known brand as I had often seen it in many magazines with lots of reviews, but doing a little more reseach and eyeko is based in London and represents cute manga make up, no wonder they had never heard of it but I had!
the Fat balm, has a few purposes this is for the lips and cheeks, which may sound bizarre if your new to this kind of product, sounds funny because using a lip balm on your cheeks doesn't sound like it's going to work. I have all 3 of these flavours, I'm a little bit of a nut when it comes to balms and I have way to many that are unfinished, or just started. These are great lip balms, they keep your lips lovely looking, soft and repaired which to me makes this more ideal for winter, but we all know how it is, when you want to wear lipstick instead but your scared your lips will go dry in the winter cold, well these babies have built in tints, the mint flavour is a light pink, the strawberry a normal pink and the raspberry a little darker red. So you can have lovely coloured lips that are moisturised at the same time. This is why it is good for your cheeks also, you can use it for a blusher, that way you don't have to worry about if your lips don't match your face because you have the same colour on both.
I haven't found any Eyeko products in store here in Grimsby which I'm a little gutted about, but there is www.eyeko.co.uk and asos has started stocking eyeko products too. I don't like buying these from the internet for the sake of it, because they're only low priced I don't want to spend more on the postage for this than the actual product so I buy all that I need at once. The fat balms at the moment are just £5 at asos.
They're rather good for your money, because they're much bigger than the usual lip balm they last a lot longer, one of these can last me well over the winter months and still have some left Read the complete review |

Eyeko Cream with Extra Glow
by frithalouise
This is a version of the original Eyeko Cream, but whereas the original has a gold sparkle finish, this one has a silver finish. The cream is a mix of pale pink and silver shimmer, but isn't glittery. It's marketed as a "3-in-1" product as a moisturiser, highlighter and eye cream. It would definitely work for everyone as a ... highlighter, but isn't very moisturising so if you have dry skin you'd need to use your usual moisturiser first. Personally I wouldn't use a shimmery eye cream as it's likely to settle into all the fine lines around your eyes and look very odd!
As a highlighter - used on top of foundation along the tops of your cheekbones, on brow bones and anywhere else that would catch the light, the fine shimmer gives a lovely lift to the face, creating a sculpted look.
As a moisturiser - used under foundation this gives your face a lovely glow. Using foundation over the top means you don't look too shimmery, but you get a "lit from within" effect.
The silver-tone to the shimmer means this looks better than the original gold-toned cream on paler skins, but would work on all skin colours. A little goes a long way too, so a pot lasts a long time! Read the complete review |
