Radox Clean and Moisturise Handwash
by SusanLesley In our cottage we have a throne room - now that's got you all thinking hasn't it? Actually it is a downstairs cloakroom but when the plumber came to fit the toilet for us the rock that the house is built on was too hard to dig out enough to make a decent drop for the waste pipe. The only way to do it was to sit the toilet on a raised ... platform so we decided the room would be known as the throne room! Anyway in there we also have a small sink and I always buy liquid soap rather than the solid sort as it sits on the side of the sink unit more easily. A bar of soap would just keep slipping back into the sink and generally making a mess. The one that we are using at the moment is the Radox Clean & Moisturise Natural Antibacterial Handwash with chamomile and jojoba oil and it smells divine! Having looked on line the current cost of this handwash varies from £1 up to just over £2 but it is worth keeping your eyes open as there are often special offers on Radox products which make the prices even better. This particular one comes in an opaque container with the green Radox logo on the front and a picture of purple flowers. It has a white pump action top. To use the handwash you just put your one hand under the nozzle whilst pressing down on the top with the other hand. The liquid that appears is white and very creamy in consistency. When I then run the warm water onto my hands I get a lovely thick, creamy lather. It doesn't seem to matter how dirty I get - gardening, cleaning, counting money from the lifeboat collecting boxes - this handwash always gets my hands clean. Apparently the jojoba oil helps to keep the skin smooth and soft and I have to say that I have found this handwash to be a lot less drying on my hands than some that I have used. The caring quality of the chamomile helps to keep the hands clean and moisturised. The writing on the back of the container tells us that Radox products help to maintain the natural PH balance of the skin and that they are all dermatologically tested. The big advantage of this one as far as I am concerned is the smell. I have great difficulty describing fragrances but this one is quite sweet, light and flowery. I suppose it is a mixture of the fragrances of jojoba and chamomile but, as I don't know what either of these smell like, I can't comment. I do find that, when I have washed my hands using this product, I keep sniffing them because I love the fragrance so much! So I would definitely recommend this one and of course, once it is all finished, the container goes into the plastic recycling bag! Read the complete review |

Radox Clean and Moisturise Handwash
by lj174 I have always been more of a fan of using hand wash as opposed to soap in my bathroom for hand washing purposes, and I just feel it is quicker, cleaner and more hygienic to use this despite it not lasting as long as soap. I have always received great quality from Radox products, therefore I chose to pick up their Clean and Moisturise ... Hand Wash when doing my weekly shop as it sounded like it would be effective. It only cost £1.88 from Tesco which I feel is a fair price for a hand wash, although if you shop around different stores I have seen it slightly cheaper. In this price, you receive 300ml worth of hand wash which I think is a reasonable amount for the price paid, and as I live alone it will last me weeks so it is worth the payment. I have seen this hand wash available in most supermarkets and pharmacies if you are interested in trying it out. It comes in a bottle as shown in the image, and to activate the pump at first, you simply have to twist it round to unlock it and this makes the hand wash come out. Per wash, I find that you only have to press down the pump once and you get a good amount of hand wash come out in one go. This is much better than some which I have tried in the past where you are having to squirt out the hand wash about five or six goes to get a decent amount so I was happy with this Radox one. To use, you then simply have to lather the hand wash with water, and I do find that it lathers up quite well, and this could be as the hand wash itself is quite thick which I like, so ten out of ten for usability as I have had no problems! The scent of the hand wash is lovely as it is not fruity and overpowering like most other ones which I often go for. Due to its gentle ingredients, it means that it does not have a strong scent to it, however there is a very soft, clean smell about it leaving your hands feeling and smelling lovely. One of the main reasons I opted for this hand wash specifically was that it is a moisturising one, and especially in the winter I do tend to get quite dried out hands due to the weather. This means I am constantly applying hand lotion, but this hand wash acts a little as a hand lotion as well as it leaves your hands feeling super smooth after use. Another plus of this is that it is quite gentle and kind to skin as it contains jojoba oil and chamomile and has no dodgy ingredients, therefore making it an excellent hand wash for use by all of the family! In case you are wondering, it does also act as an antibacterial which makes it excellent not only for in the bathroom but for use in the kitchen too if preparing certain foods whereby you need to use a hand wash. Overall, I am extremely happy with this hand wash and I will definitely continue to repurchase it throughout the winter months. It is reasonably priced, not overpowering in scent and washes hands thoroughly, as well as protecting them and leaving them feeling soft and smooth. I have not got one bad thing to say about Radox's Clean and Moisturise hand wash, therefore I will be rating it five stars. Excellent hand wash, thanks for reading. Read the complete review |

Radox Clean and Moisturise Handwash
by pal60 I don't really mind which brand of hand wash I buy but I do buy lots of branded ones while they are reduced in price on offer. I bought this one for a £1. I usually do not pay much more than a £1 because more often than not I always find one for around that price to buy. This liquid comes housed in a plastic bottle, it has a ... pump dispenser, the wash is white and it is a rich textured wash. It is also a smooth texture. It contains camomile which is an ingredient to help to smooth the skin and help it to be moisturised. It also contains an ingredient of jojoba oil. This oil helps to condition hands and to help keep them soft. I know I am using a good quality wash when I use this one because I can feel how rich it is while washing them. It rinses well from the hands too. It lathers well by adding just a small amount of water to the wash and then just rubbing the hands. Only a few pumps from the bottle can give for a good lather on the hands. It removes all the dirt from my grandchildren's hands, some of the younger ones have sticky fingers and it cleans them well. I have not had any irritations and my grandchildren have washed their hands with this soap and they have had no problems on their skins. It is a nice family soap. It has a nice smell to it and one that I think smells of a nice scent, just like a mild perfume. It is a nice smell and one that I find is suitable for myself and my family. It gives them a nice fresh smell and it does not have a runny consistency, this one has a rich one. This one leaves the hands soft, it leaves a lasting smell of the wash on the hands for a while after washing them, unlike some cheaper ones. Some of the cheaper ones are good enough for me and I have no complaints with most of them but I do like a good brand when I see them cheaper. I think this one is worth a £1. The bottle lasts a long time with regular use. It is good quality and a brand that is well known and been selling in the shops for a long time. I am pleased I bought this wash and I recommend it for others because it is a good one and I will buy it with no hesitation again in the future. Radox rarely let me down and this one is without a doubt no let down in the way is helps clean and moisturise the skin. The bottle can be recycled too. I rate it 5 stars. Read the complete review |
