Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Face Masque
by sparkle1004
I am fast becoming a fan of the Montagne Jeunesse range because they offer fun product with natural ingredients which nourish and condition the skin. One of my latest choices was the Very Berry Face Masque.
What does the product do?
The product promises to nourish the skin with the vitamins and minerals of a whole host ... of fruit including Cranberries, Peach, Blueberry and Grape. It contains Aloe Vera which soothes the skin as well as helping to leave it feeling cleansed and refreshed. The product contains antioxidants which eliminate toxins from the skin which would have otherwise caused premature aging of the skin. It is suitable for use on any skin type.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be applied to cleansed skin that has been dry. It needs to be applied all over the face, carefully avoiding the eye and mouth are, and then you leave it to get to work for between 10 and 15 minutes. You then need to rinse the product back off again with a warm flannel or warm water and then pat the skin dry. You can then follow it up with your usual moisturiser.
Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within the usual Montagne Jeunesse packaging with is a sachet. On the front there is a picture of a lady's face who is wearing the purple mask and her eyes are covered by some leaves and some blueberries. There is some more information about the product on the back of the sachet. Each one of these masques will cost you around £1 and it can be bought from stores such as Superdrug, large supermarkets and a range of online websites.
Application and Performance
The product is a beautiful pale purple colour which looks really pretty and almost matches the one on the lady's face of the packaging. It smells delicious fruity as you would expect from the name and it is a real treat to leave on the face near the nose making this a particularly summery masque. It has a thick consistency, even thicket than that of a night lotion and so you need to tear the top of the sachet wide open in order to get all of it out.
Despite its thick consistency, it is still easy to apply the product to the face and it glides over the skin without any pulling or dragging. It feel refreshing on the face immediately and it instantly removes feeling of tightness or dryness. It feels completely comfortable on the skin and didn't cause any irritations or discomfort. It smells delicious the whole time that it is on the skin and it is very easy to leave the product on the face for the whole 15 minutes. The mask doesn't harden on the face and it's a bit like leaving a thick cream on the face.
The product is a bit troublesome to remove and I found that using warm water alone takes ages. It is easier to get the majority off with a damp warm flannel and then splashing away the excess with warm water. After patting my skin dry, I noticed that my skin feel a lot smoother and softer before so this is really hydrating. It would be a good one to use after a summer holiday to get some moisture back into the skin. It leaves my complexion looking brighter and healthier, and it removes all signs of dull or flaky skin. My face feels fresh and clean after use and it didn't cause me to develop any blemishes.
Conclusion
All in all, this is lovely fruity face masque which contains lots of natural ingredients which hydrate and soften the skin. It leaves my face feeling fresh and nourished, and my complexion looking brighter and healthier. It looks pretty and smells completely delicious and I will definitely be buying this one again. Montagne Jeunesse Amore Rose Face Mask
by basketofbuttons
I have used so many of the Montagne Jeunesse face masks that I've lost count. One of the nicer deeper cleansing ones in this range is their Amore Rose Masque which is suitable for those with a problem T-zone (that's me!) and the packets states it's also suitable for those with 'normal' skin. It's a little bit more 'intensive' in terms ... of deep cleaning, compared to the others and I always find that this one tingles a lot as it's drying on my face during the fifteen minute wait period.
I always use these masks at weekends when I am in the bath, mainly because I am a bit of a messy person when it comes to applying them and then as I am in the bath anyway, I simply rinse off my face with the water running from the mixer tap.
This mask has a gorgeous smell, which I can detect just s soon as I snip open the top of the packet. There is a definite smell of light fresh roses. The mask also contains some lovely moisturisers such as Shea butter and cocoa butter. It's a soothing mask which I feel really offers a very deep cleansing experience but it moisturises and hydrates my skin and gives it a bit of a glow afterwards as it really perks up the circulation to the face and neck area.
The mask itself is quite thick in consistency and perhaps one of the thickest ones in this range I have used so far. The colour is nice too in that it's a very light coloured pale pink and looks like a weak strawberry flavoured yogurt. As it's a thick mask, it means that it's not so runny and so I am less likely to spill it all over the place as I am trying to apply it to my face and neck.
It does take the full fifteen minutes to dry and those areas where I have applied it a little too thickly take the longest to dry and are sometimes still quite wet even after the fifteen minutes are up.
Washing off the mask afterwards is a simple and easy process. It isn't one of those peel off masks, this one simply washes away with warm clean water. Afterwards I pat my face dry very gently and after about another fifteen minutes or so I apply a light moisturiser such as Olay Beauty Fluid. My skin definitely looks and feels smoother and more hydrated after I have used this mask and there is no doubt at all that it really does help my oily T-zone, without stripping my skin of its natural oils.
It's one of the nicest masks I have sued and certainly one of the nicest smelling ones. It's my little weekend treat to myself. Highly recommended. Read the complete review |

Montagne Jeunesse Iced Crystal Masque
by CosmicLove
I bought this face mask a while ago as part of a big bundle of different Montagne Jeunesse face masks and I finally got around to using it a couple of days ago. One sachet of this retails at around a pound which isn't bad value at all and it is pretty much just as good as more expensive face masks.
One sachet is enough for ... one use and I'm disappointed that there weren't any more of this face mask in my bundle as I really liked it - I will definitely be buying it again! Montagne Jeunesse market this as a cleansing, toning and exfoliating mask and it it contains sweet almond & jojoba oil as well as dead sea salt. As I have dry skin the fact that it contains oil didn't bother me at all but for people who suffer with greasy skin this might be a bit of a disadvantage.
The first thing that I like about this mask is the smell - it is amazing! It's unlike any face mask I've used before smell wise as it smells kind of like toothpaste but a little sweeter and it is really, really refreshing smelling. Because of the smell I don't think I'd use this as a face mask to use while winding down and relaxing in the bath, but that's just my personal preference. The consistency of the mask is thick - almost gloopy with little chunks of dead sea salt which exfoliated my skin as I applied the mask.
Although not painful, it wasn't the most pleasant sensation and it is quite a harsh exfoliater in my opinion, however for people who are used to exfoliating regularly it probably won't feel quite as harsh (I barely ever exfoliate properly unless my skin is mega dry). Once on my skin it dries pretty quickly and it makes my skin feel quite tightened and stiff which I wasn't expecting, I was expecting it to just sit on my skin for ten minutes or so and then wash off.
I decided to wash it off about 15 minutes after applying it. When washing it off it sort of lathers up so when rubbing it to get it off it provides even more exfoliation so if goes without saying that once I'd washed it all off my skin was the smoothest and silkiest it's felt for ages! It also felt lovely and soft and smooth with no dryness at all and my skin actually felt suprisingly hydrated and it looked glowy and healthy, and it felt really clean. I was very impressed with the results!
I also like that although it does really exfoliate my sensitive skin, it doesn't leave it bright red or sore - there was a slight bit of redness in my face when I initially washed off the mask but it soon faded and I've not had any break outs or anything from using this mask. I'd definitely recommend this face mask and I will definitely be re-purchasing it. Five out of five stars. Read the complete review |
