Nivea Visage Refreshing 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner
by cornishchic
I've been trying to speed up my night skin care regime as I've been quite lazy and skipping it altogether, using one product for two things shaves a bit of time from it and makes me do it more often. I'm currently using this 2 in 1 from Nivea.
The Nivea visage 2 in 1 cleanser and toner is quite widely available to buy from ... Supermarkets and places like Boots and Superdrug. It comes in a 200ml bottle and usually costs around the £3 mark but is often on offer. I picked mine up as part of a two products for £4 deals.
The packaging is quite simple and typical of this type of product. It comes in a light blue plastic bottle with a white flip top lid. The product information, ingredients and how to use it can be found on the back of the bottle. The flip top lid stays securely closed when it's not in use and is easy to open when you want to use it. There is a cm wide hole under the lid so it's easy to get the product out of the bottle without any problems.
The product itself is a pearly white colour, it has quite a runny consistency so you need to be ready to catch it when it comes out of the bottle. I apply mine with cotton wool pads and find that if I use one pad to look after the product, it sits on the pad well until I've used all of it up. The product seems to just glide effortlessly into my skin when I apply it, I find it is very effective at cleansing but the toning part isn't fantastic and do prefer using a separate toner with it if I can be bothered. I have occasionally used this product to remove my daily makeup but it isn't that great at this so don't do it very often, it seems to take a lot of product to get a little makeup off. The fragrance isn't very strong and has the familiar, clean sort of scent that you find with most Nivea products.
After using this 2 in 1 cleanser and toner my skin is left feeling quite soft but it leaves my skin a little drier than I would have liked but this isn't a problem as I moisturise straight after using it anyway. As far as saving time is concerned, it does save time but with a separate toner needing to be used it isn't the greatest 2 in 1 product and only gets used on my lazy days.
I'm not sure on whether or not I would recommend this, I won't be buying it again based on the fact that I have to use a separate toner but it does cleanse quite well. It's easy to apply and soaks in fast so it isn't all bad. Read the complete review |

Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream
by basketofbuttons
I use an array of different sorts of moisturising creams and the one I'm using currently is a very cheap and cheerful one from Nivea called Daily Essentials Nivea Visage Rich Moisturising Day Cream. I bought this from Home Bargains at the brilliant price of only £1 for a 50ml squeezy tube. The tube states that this cream is best suited ... for dry and/or sensitive skin but I just use it anyway and my skin is neither of these things and it suits my skin type very well.
I have been using this cream for some time now, so much so that I am now onto my third tube and I love the way it makes my skin feel instantly soft and smooth, as soon as I have applied it to my skin. I use this mostly at weekends when I wear little to no make up. If I am walking the dog then I like to wear some sort of protection on my skin and as this cream boasts a SPF15 and protects me from UVA rays, I feel this is an excellent protection for my skin when the weather is bad or the sun is out (well, it has been out these past few days).
The cream is gently squeezed out of the tiny little hole in the top of the tube and I can gauge exactly how much to apply. I use only the smallest amount as it goes a long way. The cream is white in colour and medium level consistency and it smells really lovely. It's not a floral based scent, but it does have that familiar Nivea fragrance which we have come to know over the years.
This cream definitely improves the moisture level in my skin and it helps to make it feel much smoother and more hydrated. I love the way this cream dries on the skin soon after application and I can really feel that it's been absorbed into every layer and makes my skin feel smother and more refined.
I use this cream all over my face and neck and also around the eye area. It's light and suitable for everyday use and I have also used it as a hand and nail cream on the odd occasion.
It's so versatile, a brilliant knock down price, and I really cannot recommend it highly enough. Read the complete review |

Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Creme
by basketofbuttons
Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Cream is currently available to buy in Home Bargains for only £1.29 for a medium sized tube. I have paid a lot more money for this cream from the supermarket in the past, so when I saw it at this price, I stocked up with a few tubes as it's a cream I like to use as it works really well for ... me.
The packaging of this cream is a tube format, which stands on its head so that the moisturizing cream runs to the end of the tube where the hole is and this helps to be able to dispense it easily. There's nothing fancy looking about the tube at all - it simply says what it is, i.e. Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Crème. The hole in the end of this tube is quite small, but in my opinion, this is better as it means that not too much comes out at once and none is wasted.
I like this cream as it comes in a handy sized tube and I will often take this with us when my daughter and I go swimming on Friday afternoons after school. It's gentle enough to be able to use on my daughter's skin (and she suffers from eczema) and it causes to adverse reaction as it's fine for the most sensitive of skins.
The cream itself is medium thick in consistency and has little to no smell that I am able to detect. On and off over the years I have used this particular Nivea cream and it's a brand I go back to time and time again. It's great for use all over the body and I also use it on my face and neck as a light moisturiser.
It's very easily absorbed into the skin, it's lightweight, none-messy to apply and great in that it never leaves my skin feeling greasy as some cheaper brands of moisturiser can do.
It's my skin 'essential' and I use this product very regularly as a hand cream during the day at work if I've been to the loo and washed my hands and I even have a tube of it on my desk next to my computer.
Definitely worth the price and a cream I certainly highly recommend. Read the complete review |
