The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
by sarahrichmond5
Body shop is one of my favorite shops as I love all the products and also love the fact they are such an ethical shop and don't test on animals.
I suffer from really dry skin so love their Vitamin E product range as it really seems to help with my problems. The range says that it protects the skin from the sun, pollution ... etc. It helps replenish dry skin and bring dull skin back to life.
This Vitamin E cream comes in a little plastic tub with a lid that screws on. This cream is really good and can be used every day as it is a great all around general cream. The tub that I bought was a 50ml one and it cost around £9. Vitamin E cream is a pinkish colour and when you first open the tub it looks good enough to eat the cream looks so nice and soft just like wipped cream.
When I used the cream it was great. It is quite a simple product it doesn't have a smell as it has nothing added this is why its great for dry skin or sensitive skin.
You can use it anywhere on the body so if you have areas of the skin that are more sensitive it is good for these areas too.
The tub is easy to use and the tub that it comes in has a big opening making it very easy for your to just put your hand in and get as much or as little of the cream as you need. When you apply the cream you will see that it is absorbed into the skin really easily.
My skin always feels so much better after I have applied it. The great thing is that it doesn't make your skin feel greasy so you can get dressed etc straight away.
I took a tub of this on holiday when I went abroad and used it after I had a shower in the evening and it kept my tan really well I usually peel a bit but when I had been using this I didnt at all. It doesnt suggest anywhere on the packaging that it is good for this but I found that it worked really well for me.
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to pamper their skin a little at a reasonable price. Read the complete review |

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil
by Torialou
Body Shop Tea Tree Oil
I have been unfortunate to suffer from spots for most of my life, I think I have tried pretty much every solution there is out there from prescription medicine to herbal options. Tea Tree is something that I do find helps when I have a very aggressive inflamed spot and recently I was given a free sample ... of this product in the Body Shop to try and when I had a recent voucher for the store I purchased a full sized bottle.
WHAT IS TEA TREE?
Tea tree oil is an essential oil which is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant.
Tea tree oil is well known for being a natural form of antiseptic, it is said that the Aborigines used tea tree leaves for healing skin cuts, burns, and infections by crushing the leaves and applying them to the affected area.
The Tea Tree oil from Body Shop is actually actually diluted (see ingredients lower down) not neat Tea Tree oil, I was told by the member of staff in the store that this was to make is safer to be applied directly to the skin and would not dry out the skin. I am not sure I buy this, I am only going off gut impressions but I suspect it has more to do with the cost of neat Tea Tree.
THE PRODUCT
The oil comes in a a small green glass bottle with a big white plastic lid, I am not sure if this is a safety lid or if the lid has been designed to keep the oil air tight, I have a feeling it might be the latter because I accidentally did not seal the bottle the other night and a good ¼ of what is left of my oil has evaporated in a few days lol.
Upon opening the scent of the Tea Tree is noticeable but not over powering which I guess is due to the fact there is only 15% Tea Tree oil in the product.
The directions state to apply directly to skin using fingertips or a cotton bud, I personally have been applying the product to a cotton pad and then holding this to the skin and blending the oil in.
The oil soaks into the skin very easily and leaves no nasty oily residue on the skin, there is a slight scent left after use but this soon disperses.

SUMMARY
I have to admit when I bought the bottle I had not checked the ingredients and was not aware there was so many nasties in there. While the product is alright and has not caused any bad reactions I think when it comes to replacing this I will be buying some purer Tea Tree oil. I guess there is nothing wrong with the oil, they do not claim that it is pure Tea Tree but for something that is designed to look natural I just feel a little hoodwinked. Perhaps that is more my fault than theirs.
I am going to give this 4 out of 5 because it has done what it says but I do feel a bit mislead by the packaging saying Tea Tree oil when there is only 15% in there. I just feel it is a little too diluted. Read the complete review |

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
by thriftygiftyisme
=The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream=
The Body Shop is one of my favourite retailers, as I like the fact that they do small trial sizes as well as full size, so you can try a smaller product, although yes you do pay more but trial and error pays for itself.
=Price and Availability=
This is an own brand ... product by Body Shop and can be purchased in the store as well as on line, although there may be delivery charges.
The pots come in 2 sizes, a 15ml trial size which is £4 and a 50ml tub which is £10.
=My Skin=
My skin is quite dry on my face, and needs a little help over the Winter, so whilst on one of wonder around Body shop, I brought the 15ml pot to try it out.
=Packaging=
As for all the Vitamin E range, the packaging is in pale pink. The tub is circular in shape, not much bigger than a lip balm for the small size, the lid is black plastic, which has a screw on design. It has the name of the product on the package as well as some information.
=The Cream=
The cream is a very pale pink, almost white colour, it is quite shiny in appearance, it has a very light smell to it, to me it smelt like baby powder.
=Applying the Cream=
The cream is really easy to apply, it is quite thin in texture and soaks into the skin like a treat, and for the first minute you can see a slight sheer to the cream where you have applied, which is good as it means that you do not waste cream by covering the same area twice.
=Improvement=
Within a couple of days I noticed the appearance of my skin was less dry and there was an improvement, I felt like it gave me a healthy appearance.
=A little went a long way=
My original purchase was the small 15ml tube and applying daily I got about 3 1/2 weeks use from the tub, so it is defiantly value for money.
=Would I recommend=
I would really recommend this Vitamin E cream, it really does make a difference for me, Read the complete review |
