Yves Rocher Supra Lift Mask
by MEL0611 When I turned 30I decided that I needed to take stock and sort my skin care routine out! I was terrible for buying different skincare products but having no understanding of what it was that my skin actually needed, I hadn't even really thought about the type of skin that I had. After shopping around I used the Estee Lauder Skincare ... products but I do use other skin care products as occasional treat, the product that I am reviewing today is my Yves Rocher Supra Lift Mask. I use this with an Estee Lauder cleanse and tone product and it doesn't have any detrimental effect on my skin by combining the two products. Here are my thoughts on it. The Yves Rocher mask is one that I originally thought was for people that were older and were trying to stop the wrinkle process! However after reading the information it can be used at the age of 30 onwards. The mask can be brought online as there is not many high street shops that stock it, I think John Lewis may stock it but I last saw it in there a couple of years ago now. I find EBay or the Yves Rocher website itself is the best place. For the 40ml tube you will be looking at paying around the £25.00 mark, when comparing this to Estee Lauder prices I would say that it is on a par. The bottle that the face mask arrives in is a really bright and vibrant orange colour. It is a plastic tube and it has a cap that needs to be removed at the base of the tube so you can dispense it. We are told by the Yves Rocher brand that the mask will reshape cheeks and facial contours, lift any pronounced wrinkles and will boost the radiance of your complexion in an instance. To be there were a lot of promises made so I was keen to start using it (I had been recommending the product by a friend). On the bottle there is the Yves Rocher logo on the front as well as the name of the product. On the reverse of the tube of face mask is all the ingredients listings and details on how to use. You need to apply this to a thoroughly cleansed face and leave it on dry skin for 5 minutes. After this, you need to remove the excess but not by rinsing, I use a dry cotton wool pad for this as this the rest of the mask is absorbed into the skin. The mask has a smooth but quite thick texture; it goes onto your skin really well and unlike other masks that I have tried in the past, it is not to sticky, you can see that it visibly starts to skin into the skin; I tend to use this after a hot bath or shower. After removing the excess my skin feels great, it is just a great boost, whilst I don't have too many wrinkles to worry about (Yet!) I did notice that the vibrancy of my skin really was boosted. It seemed to look more glowing after using this product and it was also really freshened by the mask going into the skin. I would be more than happy to recommend this product, great on the skin and as you only need a small amount when applying it, then I think the price justifies itself. 5 out of 5 from me on this one Thank you for reading Read the complete review |

Yves Rocher Expert Repair
by alyson29 A couple of months ago I received a surprise parcel through the post from a very thoughtful and kind friend who had sent me a number of pampering products, which were most gratefully received. All of the items belonged to Yves Rocher, a brand that I tried once many years ago and for some unknown reason, never gave them another thought. ... One of my gifts was a 30 ml tube of Expert Reparation Repair Lotion, which has been created for extra dry skin and this review discusses my experience with using. The tube couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time, particularly as the cold and harsh weather had been playing havoc with my skin and had resulted in some areas becoming a little dry and uncomfortable. I would normally describe the skin on my body as normal, but one of my elbows in particular had been displaying a very dry patch with none of my usual products being able to assist. In addition, I was experiencing a similar problem with a small area on my calf, which was accompanied by uncomfortable itching. The pale beige coloured sturdy plastic tube gave me the distinct impression of high quality and despite there being a fair amount of text together with a small image depicting the shea butter content I found it very appealing to the eye. The olive green lid was easily unscrewed to reveal the small dispensing aperture and a gentle squeeze enabled a small amount of the pure white product to be released. I must admit that I was surprised at its consistency, as despite the name lotion being used, I would describe the product as a cream, as it was considerably thick, which led me to believe that it would deliver highly effective results. I lifted the palm of my hand beneath my nose so that I could witness the aroma and I was highly impressed with the shea butter aroma, which I would describe as fairly rich and far superior to any other products that I have previously used. There was another aroma that sat delicately in the background with it being slightly sweet, but I struggled to identify it, particularly as there was nothing included in the list of ingredients. Scanning through the list was extremely impressive, as in addition to the highly moisturising properties of shea butter, there were further moisturising ingredients such as glycerin and rapeseed oil. I also noticed the inclusion of coconut oil, which is an aroma I cannot normally bear, but its inclusion in the product was not noticeable with the exception of its moisturising properties. I found that only a small amount of the cream was necessarily, as it almost instantly melted the moment it made contact with my warm skin, which was when I witnessed an immediate comforting and relieving sensation as it soaked into the dry patches. It was both easily spread and applied and my initial impression of it taking a little while to fully absorb was far from the case, as it rapidly sunk into my skin leaving the surface feeling silky soft and smooth. I favoured the fact that the cream was lightweight and is suitable for daily use. As my tube contained 30 ml I wanted to use it sparingly and apply it to the areas that most needed is such as the dry skin patches as well as my hands, which were appearing a little scaly between the fingers due to extreme dryness. I was surprised that within seconds I was able to touch my skin without feeling any tackiness and the only evidence of having applied the cream was the beautiful aroma that lingered as well as the velvety softness. The appearance of my skin is beginning to become an issue for me, as at the age of 45 my hands are starting to display signs of lines and wrinkles, which is something I cannot bear. As a result, my skin products also need to be intensive enough to smooth and partially disguise any lines and whilst I am aware that there is no miracle product, I believe that there are a number, which can assist with this problem. Within just one day of using the cream on the dry patches on my elbow and leg, I was able to notice a difference, as the roughness had vanished with the skin being transformed to a soft and smooth texture in addition to being fully moisturised. In relation to my hands, the effects were immediately evident because as well as them feeling fully hydrated they were silky smooth to the touch with a further few days use offering an improved appearance. As the cream had effectively restored my body skin to its former glory I chose to use the remainder of the tube on my hands and am extremely impressed with the results. Whilst I finished using my tube many weeks ago, I have made a mental note to make a purchase on the Yves Rocher website where I will also be ordering a number of their other toiletries. My tube was smaller than the one sold on the website where you will receive 150 ml for £4.75, which has been discounted from its normal price of £9.50. I would go as far as saying that this is the best skin care product that I have ever used, particularly as it suitable for both the body and hands and due to the reasons discussed above it comes with my highest recommendation together with five stars. I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading. Read the complete review |

Yves Rocher Refreshing Gel Cleanser
by supersonic75 **Introduction and reason for purchase** I love my beauty items (barring make up as I rarely wear it) and am in my element when it comes to buying most toiletries. It doesn't matter whether I already have about 5 of the same items already open, if something catches my eye and especially if it's a bargain then I'm more than happy to ... part with my cash for it. I buy a lot of my everyday essential items from my local Superdrug store due to the convenience of the locality as it's literally minutes from my home, but my 'pampering products' are nearly always from the french beauty company Yves Rocher where I've been a customer all of my adult life.. and it's safe to say I'm a bit of a fan. A few months ago I bought some face cream from the Hydra Vegetal range which proved to be perfect for my skin, so when placing an order a few weeks ago I decided to buy a cleanser style face wash in the same range - 'Refreshing Gel Cleanser' - and which my review will now focus on. **What Yves Rocher have to say about this** An instant bath of freshness with this rinse-off cleanser which: - Eliminates in-depth, all make-up, impurities and excess sebum - Leaves skin clean, comfortable and radiant The formula is tested under dermatological supervision whilst the botanical-based ingredients are Maple Tree Sap, Organic Witch Hazel Water. ***Price, packaging & availability** As per usual Yves Rocher can be ordered in the following ways: ~Online @www.yves-rocher.co.uk ~By phoning 0870 049 22 22 ~By venturing into one of their stores which are sporadically dotted about (the nearest to me is in York though typing into a search engine will no doubt give you an indication if there is one based near to you) ~Through their mailing leaflets (available by phoning their order/customer line on the number above) ~Ebay always offers a good range of YR products so it's worth perusing if looking for something in particular especially discontinued items. The gel cleanser is presented attractive packaging which is in the form of a quite wide and stubby tube in a transparent plastic casing. The packaging, as with all YR products, is recyclable and the company prides itself on being very 'green' and as well as using recyclable materials their products are also plant based making them as close to nature as possible. What caught my eye with this gel cleanser is the light and watery appearance of the liquid which looked different from the more thicker based consistencies of facial washes that I normally opt for and even though the packaging has an oceanic blue hue to it the product can still be clearly viewed within. Apart from the logo in a bold white font on the front the packaging is quite plain and simplistic but the beautiful blueness of the tube is very aesthetically pleasing and catches my eye whenever I enter my bathroom as it's such a pretty shade of blue. The product is available in one size only which is 125ml and can be currently purchased for the price of £4.25 which is half of it's usual RRP of £8.50. **How to use** According to the blurb on the back of the packaging this should be applied to damp skin both morning and evening avoiding the delicate eye area. Gently massage into the skin before rinsing thoroughly. **My experience of using this product** I've used many products from the Hydra Vegetal range in the past and up to press I've always been satisfied and been overall impressed with the results. I bought some face cream/ gel a while ago and found it to be one of the best face products that I'd tried in a long time so when I spotted this fairly new addition to the range I was certainly drawn to it. I've always used face cleansers on a morning which are normally in the form of a cream based product but when I saw this refreshing cleanser I liked the sound of it and it seemed different to my usual choice of products, plus the fact that I've become a fan of all of the other Hydra Vegetal products certainly helped to sway my decision towards wanting to try it. The tube has a large circular flip opening lid which opens easily enough though I've found it doesn't seem to fasten as securely as I'd quite like. On one or two occasions when my husband has used this and not closed it properly I've found the product has leaked out slightly so do be warned if storing in an upright manner. Once the lid is opened though the product emits quite rapidly and doesn't even require the bottle to be squeezed so again be careful if you decide to purchase this. I found the consistency of the gel cleanser to be slightly thicker once out of the tube than it appeared to be whilst still ensconced in the packaging, and deceivingly the product is completely clear and not blue as I imagined it to be. The fragrance is very gentle here and there is a light 'seaside' scent to it which has a salty ocean fragrance as well as what reminded me of cucumbers - bizarre combination I know but somehow it did work and smells very pleasant. On using the gel on my already damp skin I proceeded to apply to my forehead, cheeks, chin and neck then followed the instructions of 'gently massaging' into my skin. The gel is incredibly fresh on application and gives an instant cooling effect, which I found particularly when used on a morning to have a reviving and 'wake up' effect. The gel feels very light and I found that one small pea sized blob seemed to almost absorb into my skin so thought for future use I would double the amount to see if that fared any better. I found the product felt cooling as mentioned and gave my skin a nice 'zing' feel to it though in a nice subtle way. I liked how quickly the gel cleanser rinsed away once applied - a few splashes of tepid water and the product had disappeared and it certainly saved me time as mornings can be a rushed affair when it's the school run so a time saving product like this certainly scored points with me. Having tried it over the next few mornings (I don't use a facial wash on a night) I found using the equivalent of two pea sized blobs seemed the right amount for my skin and even though it still seemed to absorb a certain amount it also left a significant amount on the top of my skin which made it easier for massaging in before rinsing. I've been using this product now for nearly 3 weeks on a daily basis and I have to say overall I'm very pleased with it. My skin has felt smooth and refreshed each morning after use and has left it hydrated rather than drying like some facial wash products can. I don't think it's the best facial cleanser that I've ever tried but it certainly does the job it's designed for and that's the main thing. I've found I've used almost 3/4 of the gel in just less than 3 weeks which is a lot as a facial cleanser for me normally lasts at least 6 to 8 weeks but this will be used up very soon, so economically it's not worth it especially if the full price was to be paid. Also worth mentioning is the fact it's very difficult to read the wording on the back of the packaging, which didn't bother me too much but if wanting to read certain ingredients for example it was almost impossible. I'm going to award this 3/5 as it's nice enough but not the best from the Hydra Vegetal range and doesn't last long because of the amount I need to use each time though it did leave my skin soft and refreshed so a respectable halfway mark it gets from me.
