I have used amie 'Morning Dew matte-finish moisturiser' for many years now, and I would highly recommend it over most other moisturisers for young skin.
This moisturiser comes in a 100ml pastel yellow squeeze tube. At the top, it has the logo 'amie' in silver, and underneath in green it says pure & natural beauty. It uses a colour scheme of green and blue, with an appealing floral design along the bottom of the bottle. It boasts that it includes harmonising natural extracts: vitamin E, bilberry and rosehip, and is mineral oil-free and pH balanced. At first sight, this moisturiser looked rather appealing to me, as it looked natural and clean.
After cleansing (I use the other amie products, the cleanser and scrub first) smooth on to skin. It's that simple. I use it morning and night and it has kept my skin really soft.
It has a nice clean smell, and is a pale yellow lotion which matches the bottle. It is very soft and smooths into your skin really easily, soaking in very quickly too. It feels very wet at first, but after it has soaked in it leaves your skin moisturised and shine free.
Aqua, glycerin, cyclopentasioxine, glyceryl stearate SE, myristyl myristate, cyclohexasiloxane, dimethicone, arachidyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, arachidyl glucoside, dimethicone crosspolymer, nylon-12, parfum, insulin lauryl carbamate, sodium polyacrylate, betaine, xanthan gum, rosa canina fruit oil, tocopheryl acetate, vaccinium myrtillus fruit extract, saccharum officinarum extract, citrus aurantium dulcis fruit extract, citrus medica limonum fruit extract, acer saccharum extract, phenoxyethanol, biosaccaride gum- 1, ethylhexylglycerin, benzophenone-4, benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, hexyl cinnimal, hydroxycitronellal, linalool, butylphenyl methylpropional, limonene, sodium hydroxide, disodium EDTA, CI 19140, CI 15510
(it's a lot of stuff, and it took me ages to type, but it's all pretty natural stuff)
Where to buy.
Boots discontinued it, but it is easily found online for about £4.20
I would highly recommend this for young skin, 11+, as I have used it for years and it has kept my skin super moisturised and shine-free, very good value for money
Price: £4.99 for 75ml
For: Soft, dewy, shine-free skin.
The packaging is quite a nice, pretty looking tube, which is clear so you can easily see how much you have left. The tube stands on it's lid, which has a flip top. this is easy to open but fastens nice and securely so it won't spill easily were you to take it away with you.
It's an odd-looking yellow moisturiser with a very light, smooth texture which feels really fresh and light on the skin. It has a kind of non-specific herbal scent to it which is neither pleasant nor unpleasant.
It feels silky and smooth when applied to the skin and sinks in really quickly, leaving it with a fresh, soft feel. I don't find it feels moisturising as such, it just leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, but not nourished or hydrated. however, on the plus side, it doesn't feel heavy or clog the pores.
It does leave a fresh feel to my skin, but it doesn't control shine like it claims to. After just half an hour my t-zone is back to it's usual mischievous self. It also seems to leave a strange residue on my skin which I can feel if I run my fingers over my skin, and it congeals really quickly in the end of the tube.
All in all I don't rate this moisturiser at all.
Thumbs down from me.
I have very dry and sensitive skin and yet I still get breakouts on my nose and chin area (the dreaded T-zone.) When I first started getting spots I realised I needed to change my everyday routine. After a series of different face washes, cleansers, moisturisers and very irritated skin I thankfully found this. I found it in boots for around £4 and frankly I would be willing to pay a lot more.
A simple yet sweet clear tube with pretty flower designs. Inside was a yellowy liquid, contrasting nicely with the blue and green writing. On the front is just says a little about its natural ingredients and also says: ' for the softest, dewiest, shine -free skin.' (this actually is quite true)
I hesitantly spread this on my face, wipes at the ready incase it proved to seriously irritating to my sensitve skin. I was surprised, not only was it not stinging but like it promised my skin was shine free and touchably soft. Like with all moisturisers I did have to re-apply it around lunchtime but I'm confident this won't be a problem for anyone else (I have only just grown out of eczema so my skin is very dry.)
The next day I had no breakouts and I'm certain my skin was less oily than before. I did the same as before and generously spread the moisturiser on my face and unlike last time realised it has an extremely pleasant scent.
The only downside of this product is that if like me you have extremely dry skin and you need to use a lot of the moisturiser it might not last as long as you would hope. For people with normal/oily/slightly dry skin this really wouldn't be a problem.
I have now converted and use all Amie products and hopefully you'll try it and agree!

My skin seems to be getting a lot shinier now we're having hot weather, so I decided I needed a mattifying moisturiser. After searching round superdrug for a mattifying moisturiser with sun protection in it and finding that they don't seem to exist, I picked this one up, mainly just because of the cute packaging! It costs £4.85 for a 75ml tube.
It comes in a clear tube so you can easily see how much is left, and the tube stands on it's lid, so the moisturiser is always ready to come out of the tube if you keep it stood up. The lid has a flip top which fastens nice and tightly so it shouldn't be any spillages if you keep it in a toiletries bag or take it travelling with you.
The moisturiser is a pale lemony yellow colour and it has a light texture which is somewhere between a gel and a lotion. It feels really smooth and it spreads very easily over the skin meaning you don't have to use much. The only thing is it does sink in very quickly, so you have to be quick when spreading it in order to cover your whole face before it disappears.
After applying this my skin feels fresh and clean, and it doesn't feel like it's clogging my pores like some richer moisturisers do. It dries to a perfectly matte finish which lasts all day and I don't get any oil creeping through. It also makes a lovely smooth base for makeup, and helps it go on more evenly.
The problem I have with this moisturiser is that it doesn't moisturise! It certainly lives up to it's claims of mattifying the skin, but my skin doesn't feel moisturised or hydrated at all. This is a real disappointment for me as my skin does need moisturising!
For people whose skin doesn't need moisturising at all (are there any?) this might be good, but for those of us who need a bit of moisture it's a let down. I won't be buying it again.
This was an impulse purchase as a summer replacement for a now overly-rich moisturiser that I used throughout the winter months. Having previously been loyal to Garnier and Clinique for facial moisturisers, I risked my sensitive and easily irritated skin to try a new brand and was pleasantly surprised.
Amie is a new range designed specifically for young skin, focused on the use of natural ingredients to make ph neutral products, this moisturiser containing rosehip, bilberry and vitamin E. This oil-free product is described as 'morning dew, matte-finish moisturiser', aiming to moisturise teenage skin whilst keeping it from becoming oily or blocking pores.
At about £4, this moisturiser has proved great value for money as only a small blob of this light product is needed to hydrate after-shower skin. A fresh flowery scent and pretty tube design aim the product strongly towards teenage girls. I can declare myself to be an Amie convert, and would throughly recommend this moisturiser to anyone with typically oily teenage skinm as the perfect product for the summer months.
I heard about this product after reading an article online and after hearing it was oil free and that it it designed for teenage skin (im 23 but have oily skin) I decided it was worth a try. It can be found either online at the website www.amieskincare.com allong with the other products in the range, or it can be picked up from boots for £3.99 for a 75ml tube. This is much cheaper than my usual brand for which I usually pay £4.99 for 50ml of the product.
The packaging is pretty and the product is a pale yellow which can be seen through the clear packaging. The brand name is Amie and this is written on the tube in pale blue girly writing. The product is called morning dew and promises "the softest, dewiest shine free skin"
As the product description on the website states "Morning Dew is a really light daily moisturiser that's totally mineral oil-free and parabens-free. Quickly and easily absorbed into the skin, it gives skin all the hydration it needs while controlling shine and leaving a smooth, matte finish that's a perfect base for make-up or facing the day or night 'au naturel"
It also claims, and rightly so that even if you have greasy skin you still need to moisturise your skin to keep it soft and supple.
As this range is designed for young skin it is also ideal for problem skin, and although the product is designed for teenagers the packaging does not look childish and looks pretty on the bathroom shelf, or in my case on my dressing table.
I am on a bit of a lush product kick at the moment and am now on the lookout for products containing natural ingrediants, the morning dew moisturiser contains 90.8% natural ingredients, which made this an even more tempting offer to me.
Upon using the product you are greeted with a very faint but clean smell, which is almost sweet. The fragrance does not linger on the skin after use, but I have found this is the case with most facial moisturisers.
The product is not thick but at the same time not runny, it is easy to squeeze a small amount out of the tube onto finger tips and spread it over your face, you only need a tiny amount, so this product will last for ages.
I used this product after my lush tea tree water toner and imediately after using the moisturiser my skin felt fresk and cool. I also noticed that my ski imediately felt matte and was not greasy at all.
I have been using this product morning and night and have found that it leaves my skin matte and fresh and this feeling lasts all day. It does not feel greasy to the touch in the slightest and this feeling lasts for at least six hours. My sin feels soft and smooth and supple after using this and even my other half noticed the difference.
I am looking forward to trying more of the products from this line and if they are as good as this moisturiser then they are set to be a very successfull range. I am giving this four stars as the only let down is that the range is only available online or in Boots stores which might make is difficult for some people to obtain.
