* Anatomicals *
Well the name says it all really! A brand that creates funky, fun, colourful products which are all made to enhance the Anatomy. The company themselves state that they are not prejudice in anyway and all one of their humorous marketing lines is 'Whatever you look like... whatever shape you're in... we only want you for your body!'. Fair enough!
Anatomicals is an Australian brand which has quite a big presence in online based shops such as ASOS.com and Amazon.co.uk. As well as their own online store (where the prices are slightly more expensive!). Considering how bright, individual and likeable there products are I think they are really quite cheap and I have to admit that I can see myself hunting for their products online trying to find a bargain! They produce all types of things from eye cream to hand soap, all with their own funny names and descriptions. A likeable brand that I am definitely going to be working with a lot more!
* Not Another Rough Day Please Body Lotion *
I was doing a bit of retail therapy online and just happened to click onto the sale section of the website. I saw a few Anatomical items on sale and decided to actually see what else they had to offer as I had never seen this brand before. I was captured by the bright colours and funny captions. But I was also looking for a bargain. This body lotion comes in a 200ml squeezy tube and is a bargain at £3.
You really won't miss the bottle as it is bright sunshine orange with white and green writing on the front. I find it interesting that it has a whole paragraph of writing on the bottle but you have to have quite a dry sense of humour to chuckle as you use it. After telling you that your day/ week/ month/ year/ lifetime or afterlife might be a little rough but using their body lotion can ensure that your body will always be ultra smooth, it then continues to say 'Sorry, but an Asteroid has just gone and hit your car'. Great...!
'Not another rough day please' body lotion promises to keep rough skin at bay for super smooth skin. It is supposed to have a fruity fragrance which the bright packaging sort of suggests. At £3 for quite a big bottle and amusing packaging I really don't know what to expect!
* What is it like to use?*
The lotion itself is a thick white cream. It does spread well and initially sinks in really quickly. This means that you have to massage in the cream really quickly and use quite a lot of it. This is a shame because after 2 or 2 applications my bottle is over half empty. Usually I don't have to use so much but as this sinks in so quickly you tend to need more. It stays slightly tacky on the skin but only for a minute or so and before I knew it I had silky smooth skin. It really made my skin feel smooth and soft with no greasy aftermath. It definitely lived up to expectations in leaving me with silky smooth skin!
The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the fragrance. I expected a blend of fruitiness to develop on my skin. But I couldn't smell anything at all! On closer inspection and having to sniff my arm I could smell a faint smell of.... Plastic? There really was no fruitiness or any sort of recognisable smell at all. This I imagine would be perfect for people who do want a simple body lotion that doesn't have a scent as it tends to irritate the skin less. So a disappointment for me but maybe not for others in terms of the fragrance.
Overall I was impressed with how effective this was at making my skin look and feel smoother and softer. The skin softening effect lasts for most of the day although if you have dry skin you will need to apply morning and night to keep your skin feeling smooth. The lack of fragrance and the fact I have to use quite a lot of it to spread all over means I have to deduct a star. But generally speaking a great body lotion that does give instantly smooth and soft skin.
