      would highly reccomend

How to use: If you are giving your partner a back massage, ask them to lie flat on their tummies with their head down - it is important for their spine to be straight, you cannot give a nice massage if the the spine is bend as it will cause a build up of pressure on the lower back. Safety first! Apply to the palm of your hand and run together to ensure the oil is warmed up and therefore that much more pleasant for the recipient. Gentle smooth the oil directly to the center of the back along the contours of the spin and using the flats of your hand slowly spread so that the whole of the back is covered. You need to use a rather liberal amount for the oil to be enjoyed to its full effect. Using circular motions run the oil in to the skin, it provided a low-friction surface allowing your hands to glide effortlessly over the back and shoulder area.

Of course, we all have our own way of massaging but whether this is for a romantic interlude or simply to release the tension one gets built up in the muscles from day to day, this oil means it will be more enjoyable and allow for a much deeper tissue massage as your hands can move about more freely. If you have ever massaged with body moisturizer, although not at all unpleasant, you can tend to rub away the dead skin cells and end up with a not-so-nice residue that it just unnecessary. With the oil, its absorbed very easily in to the skin, leaves no residue or oily after touch. The skin will be silky smooth and have a very pleasant lingering scent which only aids the process of relaxation.

After the massage the recipient can put clothes on straight away without the risk of oily patches appearing - evoking images of your fish and chip wrapper, not terribly romantic or terribly relaxing!

      The scent:
Rose is the dominant scent, but its not a feminine scent, its very a-sexual so great to give your man or your lady a very sensual experience. It smells summary and not too mucky. If you over-apply you do not need to worry about too much of a heady scent, it tends to stay the same, unlike the over-application opf perfume.

      The price:
This costs £5 from Ann Summers but you can get this cheaper on-line, just watched out for postage and packing that will ramp the price up. I would say that this lasts for quite a few months, depending on how frequently you use this.

      The conclusion:
It does the job, it allows you to perform a nice long massage without the need to top up the oil quantity used. It wont stain your cloths or the bedding or any other soft furnishing. It goes in to skin well and makes for a lovely massage.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A fairly priced product

**Please note I am reviewing Love 2 massage oil, which is a reformulated version of the original 'Love' oil, which has been discontinued. I was told this was the correct category to place my review.**

I love a bit of a massage - there is nothing like feeling your muscles unwind after a stressful day, and it's a great way of sharing intimacy with your partner. I'm naturally quite a tense person , and carry a lot of my tension in my shoulders, so my partner and I actually get through a fair amount of massage oil in a year. Whilst we have a firm favourite (Lelo) for romantic encounters, for situations when I just want to get the knots out, we stick to something a little less expensive - Anne Summers 'Love 2' Massage Oil, which costs £6 for 125ml, although it can sometimes be found much cheaper in the sales.

The bottle doesn't look like the one pictured above. It's slightly more modern looking - transparent plastic delicately tinted with pink through which you can clearly see the oil level. The bottle is quite rounded, and has a wide purple label adorned with a large heart . On my bottle the lid screws on and off, revealing a small hole through which the oil can be dispensed. I do find the screw on/off lid a bit of a pain in the bum, as trying to either replace it or remove it with oily hands can be tricky, however on a more recent visit to the shop I noticed that they seem to have changed the lid to a flip top now.

The label contains all the relevant information, such as ingredients listings and warnings not to get this into your eyes . It also contains one very important warning (at least, it's important if you plan to take things further than a massage) which is that this oil is not compatible with condom use, due to oil weakening latex. Not only does this (obviously) mean that if using condoms you shouldn't smother it all over your nether regions, but also, perhaps less obviously, that you need to make sure you have no oil on your hands when applying the condom.

The oil is quite thin in consistency - this can be a pain as if you pour too much into your hand, it can drip, however the narrow opening in the bottle through which the oil is squeezed means that actually controlling the amount dispensed is fairly easy. I find the oil spreads well on skin, with a small amount going a surprisingly long way, and also that the oil doesn't dry as quickly as some others I have used, taking rather a long time to absorb fully.

It's not really designed as a 'licky' massage oil, however after kissing my boyfriends recently massaged shoulder, I can say that it doesn't taste TOO bad if you accidentally end up tasting it - greasy and a little soapy, perhaps . Scent wise, it's a very fresh light scent - a light powdery floral, almost like a delicately scented talcum powder, but with a tiny hint of marshmallow sweetness in the scent too .

One thing to note is that this oil can leave grease stains - we got a little on a shirt, and it took a good few washes before the grease mark went entirely, so if you have lighter coloured bedding that would show a stain, I would personally recommend putting down an old towel or sheet you won't mind marking .

The oil is kind to skin - I've never had any ill effect from using it, and generally the day after a massage with this I wake up with my skin feeling soft and supple. The scent doesn't last overnight though, which is a shame as I quite like it.

Overall, a pleasantly scented and gentle massage oil, though do be careful with this if using condoms.

        Lovely!

I love massage oils and own rather a huge collection of them. Not just because me and my boyfriend enjoy giving eachother massages (not that I'm saying we don't lol!) but I also use them on myself to massage areas of my body that have dry skin like my elbows and knees from time to time.

I often peruse and make purchases from both the Ann Summers store and online (www.annsummers.com) and the other day whilst on the Ann Summers website I spotted this product reduced from £6.50 a bottle to £2.00 and decided to purchase myself a couple of bottles as it seemed like too good an offer for me to miss at that price!

        The Packaging:

The oblong light pink see through bottle with a flip top lid concealing a small hole to the top of it holds 150ml of the massage oil within it. On the front of the bottle there is a picture of a woman and we are told that it is Love 'Silky and Sexy massage oil' and that it is an Ann Summers product. On the label at the back of the bottle we are told a bit about the product, and warnings are given (this is not safe to use with condoms), ingredients are listed, the size is stated, we are told that once its opened to use it up within 24 months and contact details for Ann Summers are given. It's not a bad design of bottle, easy to open etc and of course informative as it needs to be.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Listed On The Back Of The Bottle:

Massage into naked skin and feel the fantastic 'slipability', immerse yourself in the sensual fragrance.

        Using It:

The oil itself is clear and not thick like an oil slick as I sort of expected it to be lol! It has a really weird sort of fragrance to it that is hard to describe! Sweet and sort of floral it still manages to be unisex though and really is indistinct in its fragrance!

This is easy to massage into the skin, gives no feeling or heat or cold and if you use just a little of it, it sinks into the skin or of course you can use as much as you dare to and get greased up if you prefer!

Not only does this make a great base for a massage and is easy to use and with a nice fragrance that lasts for ages after using it but the added benefit of this is that it really does make the skin feel soft and supple after using it and when I have used this on my dried up bits of skin it really has eradicated them! I love this massage oil and think its great at any price!
