      Advantages

      Disadvantages

GO ON TRY THEM..YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO

As you all know, Asda is part of the Walmart group of supermarkets. As well as selling branded products, they also sell their own ranges of foods, homeware, cleaning and health and beauty products.

      *Product*

Many women and perhaps men, use facial wipes. These are the Asda Vitamin E Cleansing Wipes from their Essential Care range. They are designed to remove make up and impurities and are dermatologically tested. Asda advise that the wipes will cleanse, tone and moisturise and that they are fragrance free. This makes them suitable for all skin types.

      *Packaging*

The wipes come contained in a basic white plastic packet which is quite thin though durable. There is a resealable flap to keep the wipes moist and fresh. The front of the packet has the Asda logo, name and description of the wipes and a large Vitamin E sign making them quite recognisable. The back of the packet has your basic need to know information including what the wipes are intended for, the ingredients and how to contact Asda.

We also learn that once opened, the wipes are perfectly safe to use for 3months, they cannot be flushed down the toilet and they are manufactured in the UK.

      *The Wipes*

Like the other Asda Vitamin E products in the range, the wipes have no significant smell except that of being fresh and clean which is a bonus. The wipes are white and quite large. There are small open pockets in the wipes so you can see through them which is something that premium brands would not have. The wipes are moist but not overly so that they make your face wet and sticky.

To use simple wipe across your face to cleanse and remove makeup.

      *Ingredients*

      Aqua , Cetearyl Isononanoate , Cetearyl Alcohol , Ceteareth-20 , Glyceryl Stearate , Glycerin , Ceteareth-12 , Aloe Barbadenis Gel , Tocopheryl Acetate , PEG-35 Castor Oil , Sodium Citrate , Citric Acid , Disodium EDTA , Phenoxyethanol , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol .

      *Availability and Price*

Asda exclusive and can be found in the cosmetic aisle and most likely further down the shelf below the premium brands. Priced at just 48p for a pack of 25 these are a steal! You can also buy a moisturising lotion and day/night cream in the same range.

      *My Opinion*

Face wipes are something I use on a daily basis. I like to use them to cleanse my face in the morning and freshen it up as I am lazy when it comes to routines so these offer cleansing, toning and moisturising in one. I haven't been wearing makeup often since having my son but now I have started to wear it more often, I need something to remove it.

I usually use wipes such as Nivea and Olay but we are on a tight budget now so I have researched cheaper brands and picked these up..at 48p you cannot really go wrong can you? So what do I think..are these any good for my sensitive skin?? Read and find out....

Well for 48p, the packaging was never going to be gold plated. The packet is quite flimsy but it does the job and keeps the wipes together. The seal is pretty good and sticks better than some more expensive brands.

This morning I used these to freshen up my face before applying makeup for my sons birthday party. The wipes feel cool and moist and freshened up my skin nicely without leaving a sticky residue. My skin was smooth and I noticed an improvement in the appearance of my dry skin on my forehead and nose area.

Tonight I used these for removing my makeup which included blush, face powder, eyeliner and mascara. The wipes despite being quite thin and see through, took my makeup off with ease and stayed moist. I did need an extra bit of rubbing in my eye area but I do believe this is due to me wearing a more premium brand of eyeliner and mascara than normal. My eye makeup did come off and I only needed 1 wipes for my whole face. It stayed together nicely and my face felt clean and perfectly smooth. I did not experience and soreness or irritation in my eye area or any other part of my face which is a bonus.

At 48p a pack and containing 25 I would say the pack would last me about 2weeks so less than £1 per month. Now compare that to Nivea and the likes and you know you have a bargain. I personally did not feel I needed a moisturiser after using the wipes which also saves me money so I am happy.

I now alternate my shopping between Asda and Tesco so will buy these every second week.

I thoroughly recommend them..they are a true bargain!

      Thanks for reading

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

The best facewipes I have ever used at an amazingly low price.

I had switched from using Simple - cleansing facewipes to using Asda's Essential Care Facewipes with Teatree oil, quite begrudgingly. However a saving of around £2 per pack made this a more attractive prospect, especially as we are saving furiously for our two new arrivals. But after numerous outbreaks of spots and generally greasy skin I was forced to look for another cheap alternative . On a shopping trip around Asda Mr Lools then picked up Asda Vitamin E facial cleanising wipes and I nearly made him put them back as surely 27p for a pack of 25 facewipes meant that these would be useless and my skin would end up in an even worse state than it did with the other Asda brand. I am glad to say they were wonderful the following review should hopefully explain just how great these facewipes are.

        ***Packaging***

The packaging is very plain. White plastic packaging with a beige coloured E on the front of the packaging. The Asda branding is also on the front of the pack in quite small font. The wipes have a standard face wipe opening on the top of the packaging which had a resealable sticker to open and close the pack. This is actually very good and stays sticky and shut until the very end of the pack so the wipes do not dry out.

The packaging states that these are fragrance free

        ***Price & Availability***

These facewipes are only available in Asda (as these are an Asda own brand) and are currently being sold at 27p per pack of 25. The normal price of these wipes is 47p per pack which is still probably one of the cheapest packs of facewipes that I have seen. This works out as 1.1p per facewipe (1.88p at normal price) which is an absolute bargain if you consider that the branded facewipes like Simple cost around 13p per facewipe. If like me you use two or three facewipes per day then this is a reasonable saving over the month.

        ***The Facewipes***

The Asda Vitamin E cleansing wipes are standard sized facewipes and are white pieces of soft facewipe. By looking at them they look the same as any other brand of facewipe.

As these are fragrance free there is no real scent to these wipes. When I smelt the wipes the scent is very light and reminds me very much of freshly washed cotton even though there is no real or distinctive scent to the wipes.

I use facewipes on a morning to clean my skin and also on an evening when I use to remove makeup. A fair comment is that I wear a decent amount of makeup, concealor, foundation, blusher and a heavy covering of eyeliner and mascara therefore many facewipes do not take this all off using one wipe. I judge that using two wipes is acceptable and three wipes is less than acceptable.

I was very surprised to find that all of my make up had been removed using one face wipe. The facewipe glided over my skin very easily, as the wipe was wet but not soaked allowing make up to be removed without dragging or pulling my skin or having to scrub harshly. This even removed my eye make up easily without having to scrub and the sensitive skin on my eyes was not left red or sore. After using the facewipe was covered in makeup however my skin felt clean and when touched it was apparent that all makeup had been removed.

Once all my make up had been removed my skin felt very smooth and clean. All traces of make up had been removed and my skin felt clean, not overly dry but not at all greasy. The wipes did not leave my skin with a greasy film or feel which has happened with some facewipes that I have used. My skin is sensitive and although these facewipes do not say they are for sensitive skin, these were not at all harsh or left my skin irritated which happens with most brands of non sensitive facewipes.

After using these wipes for around 2 days I noticed a massive difference to the appearance and feel of my skin. My skin felt very smooth and the grease which I often get around my T-zone (in particular my chin) has completely vanished. My overall skin tone looked extremely clear and there were no signs that my skin could break out into spots. Just by looking at my skin it appeared very soft and silky.

I have been using these wipes for over a month now and my skin looks great and I have had no break outs of spots when using these wipes. Out of curiosity I switched back to using one of the original Asda wipes I had been using with tea tree and in a matter of days I ended up with a spot on my chin. I am pleased to say that I have even been wearing less make up and often go out without foundation now as my skin looks extremely clear with no imperfections.

        ***Overall***
These are by far the best facewipes that I have ever used. Make up is removed very easily. Even heavily applied face and eye make up like mine is removed using only one facewipe. The after results are even more impressive as my skin looked and felt noticeably improved and glowing. For 27p these are undoubtedly the best beauty bargain ever!
