Avene Light Hydrating Cream
This is another one of the rather large and very cute miniature samples that I got from Avene site. I have reviewed the first product that I got from them - the gentle cleanser which works really well with this light moisturiser. I have the 5ml sample which is actually just like the full size one just smaller - same packaging which is very cute, like alice in wonderland.
I have been using this instead of my normal simple moisturiser as the simple one has been irritating my eczema (but it is fin when my skin is normal). It is very light and it is really quite hydrating but my skin is sensitive and also quite dry in places so this is not rich enough for the drier patches but it is great every where else. It is also good on the areas of my skin (around my nose) which tend to be slightly more oily - as it does not over moisturise the skin.
It is really great on my eczema, it does not irritate it at all and it is nice to use - as a change and it is really good at calming my skin down too, as it can get quite irritated.
The packaging like the gentle cleanser is really nice, simple and it looks a bit more expensive than it would actually cost. It is for normal to combined sensitive skin, it is hypoallergenic and it is non comedogenic which means that it will not clog pores (which means that it will not cause blockages leading to blackheads and spots!).
It has an spf of 20 in it and it smells really quite nice too, like the gentle cleanser. It smells like a combination of a nice sun screen/sun tan lotion and it has some light floral notes too, which is really nice, refreshing and uplifting.
I have been using it for about a week (morning and night and when ever my skin needs some more moisture) and it is really good. It works well, but I have used quite a lot of it, there is only a small amount left.
I got this as a sample but you can buy it from boots for £13 for 40ml which is a good price in my opinion as it is a really good moisturiser. There are also loads of other great products in the range, including a rich version of this moisturiser.
*Cute miniature bottle
*Suitable for sensitive skin
*Did not irritate my eczema
*Does not overly moisture my skin
*Easy to apply and it is absorbed really easily
*Not really expensive
*I have used nearly all of it - so it does not really last long - but its worth it in my opinion
*Not rich enough for my skin
I think I will buy the full size version when I have finished my lush moisturiser.
Thank you for reading my review
Light Hydrating Cream moisturizes combination to oily skin and leaves it shine-free thanks to a sebo-regulating system that releases a moistening ingredient while absorbing excess sebum /
