I've always been a bit sceptical when it comes to claims by cosmetics companies that a certain product will make your skin look younger and halt the ravages of time. However, I've now hit 45 and was starting to really feel and look my age. So when my local Avon Lady dropped the brochure off I decided to treat myself to their Anew RetroActive Cream. It claimed to "visibly reverse the signs of ageing" and contains something called "Rejuvi-cell technology". At the time there was a special offer on whereby you received a free goody bag of perfume, lipstick and some other bits and pieces which actually came to more than the cream. In for a penny, in for a pound, I thought - and at £15 a pot this wasn't cheap. But it's proved to be worth every penny. However, after using it for a few months now I can honestly say my face looks a whole lot better. The cream feels a bit thick when you apply it - and takes a little while to be absorbed, so I tend to use it at night. You can use it as a moisuriser at night or under daytime moisturisers as well. My skin feels so much smoother, and is not as dull looking. It feels softer and my face seems to look a lot less "tired" and more "alive". I don't really know how else to describe it. But I am certainly convinced by it. And as I feel I look better my confidence has also been given a great boost. I'd recommend it to anyone over 40 !!
...on your face, that is! I love this product!!! It smells wonderful and feels great on your skin. Very light and refreshing - it's my wake-up call every morning! It leaves me feeling cool, calm and collected...absorbs well, too! The blurb is that it has age-reversing technology...well, I'm no scientist or dermatologist, but I can tell you it has made my skin both look and feel better. It has a smoother texture and isn't as "dull". (If I tell you it makes my skin "glow" you won't believe it anyway, right?! But it does say it will make your skin "look more radiant and healthier immediately"...so there you go!) It also claims to make your skin "act younger" and to prevent visible signs of ageing...hey, I hope so! I'll let you know in ten years! It is one of Avon's more expensive skincare products, but if you were to go to one of the famous beauty brands at a department store, you would find their anti-aging products are even more expensive! So given the benefits of this cream, I think it is money well spent. By the way, did you know that Avon was the first to introduce a retinol-based anti-aging product to the mass market about 7 years ago? Just a bit of trivia for you! But it goes to show that as a company, Avon does do it's research, and is up-to-date with skincare technology. Anyway, I think this is a great buy, and highly recommend you try it. For me, the best thing about buying Avon is the guarantee, knowing that you can return it for a refund if you're not happy with it, even if you've tried it! Can't do that at a department store!
My mother has been an Avon lady for a number of years so as you can imagine I am up to date on all of the new products. This one is very popular, "loved by many". The product Avon recently brought out this fantastic beauty product "Anew Retroactive moisturising cream", the advert says "it will make your skin 21 again" and I can tell you through personal experience that is a very true statement. It has a very light texture so it glides on your skin easily and is also very absorbant. It has a pleasant fragrance too. It's quite expensive (for me anyway) £15 - £20, but is well worth it. The packaging It comes in an attrative jar, aqua blue in colour, which is then boxed together with with an instruction pamphlet. Very pretty. A definate thumbs up.
