===Why I Bought This===

I enjoy trying out different Avon products and when this was on offer with shower gels etc as a 5 for £5 I thought I would give it a try.



===The Brand===

Avon is a long established direct selling network which used to sell just door-to-door but you can order directly from their website these days if you do not have a local representative handy.
Avon has 18 different brochures issued throughout the year - or their stock can be viewed online.



===The Product===

Avon's website states - 'Rich, lathering, delicately fragranced hand wash with chamomile and oatmeal extract'.
Avon Care Family Gentle Hand Wash, 200ml.
Beige bottle with large white pump on the top
Moisturises with chamomile and oat extract.
'Family friendly', and made in Poland.
Gentle cleaning for all the family.
Suitable for sensitive skin - avoid eyes.
White pearlised liquid.



===Cost===

£2.50 at full price but currently on sale as 5 for £5.



===My Opinion===

Normally I like using antibacterial handwashes but this one looked inviting in the Avon catalogue and I think I had in mind some lovely soaps I would buy years ago that were the same oaty colour and which had oats embedded in them and a gorgeous creamy smell and lather.
However although the bottle is a creamy oaty colour the liquid itself is actually a sort of pearly white, and with hardly any fragrance - quite a disappointment.
It does clean your hands ok and is not drying so may be of benefit to those with sensitive skins. However using it alongside Tesco Everyday Value ordinary handwash there is barely any difference - so although those with sensitive hands may benefit I did not find it a product I would want to buy again.
Personally if I am paying more than a basic sort of price I expect something a little nicer - creamier texture or a lovely smell - otherwise I do not see any reason to pay above the Tesco Everyday Value price.
