      A good product from Avon

I went through a phase of having really bad dry skin on my face and head during last Summer, it was so bad at times I would unintentionally draw blood from scratching so much and couldn't stop myself it was terrible! and I went pretty much through every tub of cream in my Avon box and I have to say that this was definitely one of the best ones.

I know that it says light moisture on the tub but I found that this was actually quite thick and creamy but the misdirection in this case did work out in my benefit. None greasy and like a nice creamy Greek style yogurt that smells of cucumbers and some sort of menthol maybe tea tree or witch hazel it really was a great source of relief to my dry itchy skin.

I slapped the stuff liberally all over my face and although probably not recommended also rubbed and brushed it into my scalp as at the time oils just did not seem to be cutting it for me and I have to say in the short term until I found the right type of medicated shampoo for my condition this really worked for me and stopped me scratching my scalp off. Needless to say the stuff is very hypoallergenic and very pure and natural it smells really fresh and it makes your skin feel moisturized and hydrated just the right amount with-ought looking shiny or sweaty like some of the more moisture rich varieties. Although it says that it is light overall I would describe it more as medium perhaps? Not that it is heavy in any way but lighter ones I have tried before are generally watery and don't have as nice a texture as this one seemed too.

I also like that it is a tub and not a tube as you can gauge your fingers straight into it and apply nice and liberally whereas I kind of feel with a tube you end up either squirting to little or too much and since it is a screw top instead of a pop up top and has a more secure container you don't have to worry about it accidentally getting squished and making a mess of your hand bag or suit case.

I think at full cost it is somewhere around the £3.50 mark but with most Avon products it is quite commonly found at half price or 3 for £5 in the brochure which is pretty good. It also states that it is recommended for normal or oily skin on the Avon website but I think that it is so versatile and refreshing that it can be used for all skin types. Since it is also 100mls it can fit in your hand luggage while flying.

      A lovely light facial moisturiser

My daughter wanted to replace the Avon eyeliner she had for Christmas and as we don't have an Avon rep in our area at the moment we had to order it online. To make the most of the postage and packing price I had a look through the other products and noticed this face cream and decided to try it as it was half price.

The tub is quite large at 200ml and the usual price is £4.20 but as mentioned it was half price when I bought it so I considered it very good value. The website boasted that the cream leaves the skin looking matt whilst feeling hydrated so it seemed just the thing for my skin. My No.7 face cream tends to leave my skin looking a bit greasy especially as the day goes on.

Although it is listed as a cream and indeed looks like a cream it actually feels more like a gel, a very light gel. It contains cucumber and green tea and the gel definitely smells of cucumber, which I quite like in a face cream. It is also quite cooling and will be lovely in the summer when I have been out catching some rays. It is very light and only a small amount is needed for the whole face and neck as it spreads really easily and soon disappears into my skin. As I smooth it on I can feel it going matt if that makes sense as it seems to dry off as I spread it over my face and neck and doesn't leave any sticky residue.

I have used this product for a couple of weeks now and find that it really does as it says, moisturises whilst leaving the face with a matt finish. My usual foundation goes over it perfectly. Apart from the fact that I like this face cream/gel I also like the fact that the tub is quite large and has a wide opening so that I can get my fingers in easily, some other products I have had tend to have narrow tops or come in tubes and I am not so keen on that.

I recommend this product if you are looking for a daily face cream that is light and disappears into your skin easily without leaving any residue.
