Advantages: does shrink them for a short time
Disadvantages: doesnt last
This avon clear skin clay pore penetrating clay mask was on offer in the avon a few weeks ago so i though why not give it a go, i payed £2 for it on offer, i used to use these types of masks a lot a few years ago when my skin was realy quite bad and seen as stress had made my skin break out in lots of spots again i thought this would be a good idea to use again.
It arrived in a basic white box with instructions of how to use it in almost every possible language and inside the box is a 75 ml white tube with all the same info repeated on it.
The box says it has pore firming technology to make pores look visibly clearer and refined, this sounded great to me as i have lots of open pores, To use it says apply a thin layer to your face and allow to dry for 5 minutes before rinsing and patting dry, use 2 to 3 times a wreek for best results.
I got it out the cupboard wholst running me a bath the other night and decided to try it out, i applyed a very thin layer to my face and allowed it to dry for 5 minutes, it does go very hard which i always find feels very strange feeling your face getting tighter by the minute, it is obviously quite cold when you first apply it but you soon get used to it. After the 5 minutes i rinsed it off very well and it was very easy to rinse away, i patted my face dry as it sais to do so and my skin looked a lot better the pores looked a lot snaller which i thought was fantastic, after another few minutes though parts of my face became very sore and felt as though they were burning so i rinsed my face again but it just kept getting worse, my cheeks and chin went very red and blotchy and felt quite sore for a few hours.
With in a few hours the pores had returned to there nrmal size and my skin didnt look any different to how it had before just a little dryer so i wont be using this again.
The two main ingredients in this are salicylic acid which is obtained from willow tree bark it is often used in acne products but is also used in anti inflamitary creams and muscle rubs too, the other active ingredient is avec d'acide which despite searching i cannot find anything about sorry.
Summary: not for me
