“ Brand: Avon / Product line: Avon Clearskin „
I have tried loads of stuff to get rid of spots, I don't really have a major problem, just a few popping up every now and then but this stuff is great! Doesn't dry my skin out, left it feeling soft and clean. Reduced my spots almost immediately and they were gone within 3 days! The pads do sting a bit on bigger spots but the correction lotion calms it down. Would definitely recommend buying it to anyone who is fed up of all the other spot treatments that claim to work and then don't. This stuff is great!
This range of skincare is exclusive to Avon. You can buy it either from the Avon brochure or online via the Avon website.
I have tried the skin cleaning pads in this range but I was a little disappointed with them. The packaging looks too masculine for my liking and the pads smell quite unpleasant, although I find it hard to describe their exact scent (I would also say it's a little masculine). The pads were easy to swirl across my skin and they didn't take too long to soak into my skin either. However, a few hours after using the pads my skin started to crack and peel. I then used the pads every other day to see if that would make a difference but it didn't. The pads just ended up drying my skin out and I had to throw them away in the end. A waste of money.
I also tried the skin corrector lotion but it also dried my skin out so I ended up giving it to my brother who actually liked it. I think this range is a little too masculine (not just the packaging but the smell of it aswell) and it's just too harsh on the skin. I wouldn't recommend this to people who suffer from sensitive skin. It's far too drying. It took my skin a whole week to recover from this range so I won't be buying it again.
A disappointing range of skincare.
It is 3 step process, it combines a exfoliater wash, skin pads and a cream.
I tried this, as my skin had got to the point that spots would keep popping up at the worst times. I was hoping that this would help my skin on its way to being healthy and clear.
I used it for a while, and i found that it made my skin quite tight and sore. Unfortunately i can't find many positive things to say about it.
Using the skin pads really stung my face and made it tight and bright red. It also made my eyes sore if they came any where near them. Also, i didnt like the smell.
When i used the exfoliator wash, it made my skin feel washed, but more stripped back, it was really strong, and was impossible to wash off. I would always end up having bits of white wash still on parts of my face. To really get it rinsed off properly, i found i had to really make my face sore.
Using the cream to stop spots i found left a clear shiny residue on my face and made my skin dry and cracked.
I wouldn't have minded if it meant that the spots were less frequent, but i found that using these products irritated my skin so much, it actually made them occur more often.
It may just be me, others may find it works, but i really didn't see any improvement, and it wasn't nice to use. At times it felt like i had gone for some sort of major peel.
If you have sensitive skin, i really wouldn't reccomend this. I think i have quite hardy skin, however, at times using this really hurt my skin. I wouldn't risk using it and would go for something more gentle.
Having tried many products over the years and finding that almost all of them dry out my skin (which is dry by default), I was delighted to find these litle gems. The Exfoliating wash is really excellent and almost feels a bit like a face mask, it cleanses very well and leaves you feeling refreshed.
It is very mild at the same time as being very good at scaling and polishing your face and leaves your skin feeling quite supple and not anywhere near as dry as many other similar products would. The price is very reasonable and avon do 2for1 offers all the time online, so grab yourself a couple i say!
Only one note of warning is that Avon seem to take an age to deliver, although when i rang and chased my order they sent out a replacement, 2 days later I had twice as many products and had only paid for one set, which save for the wait was a big win win!
All in all i'd defnitely, absolutely, muchly give this a really big thumbs upWANG!
When I was an Avon rep this range was forever on offers, generally 3 for £5 which was always good value and therefore I tried three things out of this range as I always liked to be able to tell my customers what a product is like.
Within the range there was a deep pore cleansing scrub 125ml, Clarifying toner pads 45 pads and daily correcting lotion 50ml, since I was a rep they have now introduced an invisible blemish treatment and a clear pore thermal mask, each item in range costs between £5.50 and £7 but you can get the cleanser, toner and lotion in a set of 3 for £5.50 which obviously makes it really good value. Obviously all of this is only available from Avon and best to be bought through an Avon rep as if you order from the website the delivery is £3.50 alone.
The theme of each item in this range is that everything is a deep silvery grey colour, the cleansing scrub comes in a squeezy tube with a flip top lid at the bottom so that it will stand up, the tube has a number one on it as it the first step in the process. The toner pads come in a circular tub with a screw top lid and these have the number two on the pot, the lotion comes in a bottle with a pump operating system and has the number three on it for the third step of the process. The blemish treatment comes in a small squeezy tube and has a thin nozzle at the top with a screw top lid over it to make application of the product easy and finally the thermal mask comes in a squeezy tube with a flip top lid just like the cleanser does.
What are they like?
I have personally only tried three items out of this range so I will only be able to pass comment on these, firstly the cleanser, it is a thickish liquid with exfoliants within it and Avon claim that it will leaves skin fresher and brighter. I found that the cleanser had a subtle smell so wasn't too strong, it was thick enough not to go everywhere but thin enough to administer and it left my skin feeling fresh as promised and soft to the touch. The active ingredients within the cleanser are Salicylic acid and Glycolic acid.
The toning pads are quite thick fabric which is embossed with different patterns on each side, you use one side of the pad followed by the other side, Avon claim that the pads help to restore the balance of sebrum without over drying the skin, I would have to totally disagree with this as my skin became dry so I tried the products out on their own to find the problem and it was the toning pads which were drying my skin.
The lotion is quite thin but not so bad that it is uncontrollable although I think it would be nice a bit thicker, it is white in colour and is easy to dispense due to the pump on top of the bottle. Avon claim that it smoothes the skin and visibly minimises pores and controls oil for a shine free finish, Avon warn that if drying occurs to stop using this product. I would have to say that this didn't seem to smooth my skin although it wasn't this that was drying it out I really wouldn't recommend it.
The only part of this set that I could personally recommend is the cleanser and if buying it alone this would set you back £7 which seems abit mad really as you would be better buying the set and getting rid of the other two products. £5.50 isn't a bad price for a decent cleansing scrub but I know of others cheaper and just as good. I would say this range is quite harsh on the skin and this is only proven with Avons warning of drying out the skin. Not one of Avons better ranges.
I havn't tried the whole range but i use the moistuizer everyday usually in the night then i use another one from a different range in the day. Because i have the off spot or two and quite large pores this is great! It lasts for ages and does exactly what it says on the bottle. I purchase this for about £3.00 in the avon books.
WHAT THE PROUDCT ITSELF LOOKS LIKE, FEELS LIKE AND DOES:
It's white and silky and you only need to use a little bit every once a day or twice a day. It feels like satin on the skin and dries very quickly. what the creams primary use is for. It was made to reduce pore size, clear away spots and get rid of excess oil. well, it certainly does that. after using this for a few months i have fewer spots, my pores are smaller and my face never looks oily. After using this your skin will feel silky smooth and your spots will be smaller the day after and take about 2 days to clear. Now, obviously you will have better effect by using the whole range. The reason i dont is because i concentrate on my blackheads more than my spots so i use a cleansing scrub, mask and day moistuiser from the clearskin range. I use this moisturizer just for the night.
It's worth trying the range if your prone to spots and have big pores, great for the price, feels great on the skin. Also unlike other moisturisers it wont clog pores or give you more spots like other big brands.
As a lot of teenagers do, I got quite bad acne on my face. It looked really horrible and it being there was really getting me down. I knew I would have to do something about it.
I tried a few different spot treatments, all of which I have either reviewed already or will get round to reviewing as soon as possible. But none of them seemed to work. Not being able to get rid of the spots just added to the stress of having them in the first place, so I got more. Because of this I was spending loads of money on finding different products, I thought perhaps the more expensive they were the better they would work. I researched different ways to get rid of acne on google, and one thing I discovered was that the only products that will actually work to get rid of acne is products that contain salicylic acid. None of the products I had tried so far contained this, and I was searching all through Boots trying to find some products that did but couldn't find any. The ones I could find were way out of my price range.
I hadn't realised that the answer had been right under my nose all along. As an Avon representative who just sells to a few friends I am always flicking through the Avon brochures, ordering things for myself and normally spending double my earnings! I had just never paid much attention to the Clearskin range, for some reason. I don't know why but they do (don't know who they are) you always miss the obvious.
My stress levels were really high now (I even had ridged nails!) and I was ready to try anything. So I ordered the Clearskin range and kept my fingers crossed.
~Buying the Range~
The range doesn't all come together as the product suggestion seems to suggest. It comes in three parts that you have to buy separately; a face scrub, toning pads and a moisturiser.
The face scrub is priced at normally £5, the toning pads are normally £5 and the moisturiser, or the Daily Correcting Lotion as it says on the bottle, is normally £7. I bought these when they were on offer though, so the face scrub was only £2.50, the toning pads were only £2.50 and the moisturiser was only £3.50 which is all much better value for money.
You can buy the range either online or from your representative. You can also find them on amazon but watch these as they are often overpriced.
The only disadvantage with buying things from Avon is that you can't just go into a shop and get them, you have to wait a week or so for them to be delivered.
As shown in the picture provided, the range is all silver in colour. There is only one difference between the picture and what the range looks like in real life and that is the lid of the deep pore cleansing scrub is now dark blue instead of silver. The old lid did used to be faulty, as it wouldn't close properly and there was a knack to getting it, shut but now Avon has corrected this fault and it is easy to close thanks to the new lid. It is helpful that each product has a big number on it so that you know exactly what order to use them in.
The packaging is really nothing special and looks similar to a lot of other acne treatment ranges I have seen in the shops. But I suppose it could be a lot worse and anyway I don't mind what the outside looks like as long as the products themselves actually work, which they do.
~Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub~
The scrub is the first step of the range. If you have oily skin then it is also probably the only part of the range you will need to use.
It contains salicylic acid which is an acid that is proven to reduce and eliminate acne.
The texture of the scrub is quite tough and feels quite salty because of the little bits in it that make it exfoliating. It really does seem to get right into my pores and clean my skin much more thoroughly than just normal cleansers do. I have quite dry skin and if I use the scrub on its own then my face does feel quite dried out. But my sister also uses the scrub and as she has quite oily skin she says it is just right for getting rid of excess oils from her face that can lead to spots, without drying the skin out. So if you have oily skin you will save money by only needing the scrub.
~Clarifying Toner Pads~
This is the next step of the range. The toner pads come in a silver tub that has a screw on lid and there are 45 pads inside.
The pads are soft and they are moist with the spot treatment. They are like thin pieces of cotton wool that you rub into your face, upwards and outwards. They are very gentle to the skin. They do not contain salicylic acid unlike the other two steps do but they do contain spot treatment.
If you don't normally use a toner then I wouldn't recommend that you buy this, as the scrub and moisturiser work together as a good enough range for me and I don't feel like I really need the toner pads to complete the range. But if you do like to use a toner then you would probably have to use this instead of one from another range, as it contains the same spot treatment as the other two steps do and one from a different range might contradict what this range does.
When I run out of the toner pads I don't think I will bother buying more, basically because I think they are a waste of money because they aren't neccessary.
~Daily Correcting Lotion~
This is the step I have been referring to as the moisturiser, basically because that's what it is. It comes in a very small bottle which only contains 50ml. To get some out you just press the lid down and some squirts out, then you turn the lid to stop any more accidentally coming out. I have noticed the lid to this isn't very sturdy though and when it was in my toiletries bag when I went to the caravan it kept turning back so I had to be careful it wasn't touching anything or all my toiletries would have been covered in it.
This also contains saclicylic acid. When I first used the range I thought it stung slightly, probably because of the acid working on my spots. But now I am used to it and I can't really feel anything.
This is a good moisturiser for people with spots, it only really works to get rid of spots if used with the face scrub though. On its own it is still an OK moisturiser but it won't really do much for your skin.
After using the range for one week I saw a big difference in the amount of spots I had on my face. I was also using a couple of other spot treating products from Avon which I think may have helped, but a lot of the difference I know is definitely down to this range. If you have spots and are stressed about getting rid of them, I recommend trying this.
What I personally do is use the face scrub every morning when I wake up and every evening before bed. In the mornings I also use the toner pads and moisturiser but I don't bother using them before bed unless my skin is feeling quite dry, and then I might use the moisturiser.
I will continue to use the face scrub and moisturiser but when the toner pads run out I don't think I will bother reordering some more of them.
If you have oily skin then I only think you will need to use the scrub.
I still have a couple of nasty looking spots on my chin, but compared to the amount of spots I used to have all over my face I am very pleased with the difference!
Good luck for getting rid of your spots!!
Thanks for reading xo
I have problematic skin - oily, shiny, sometimes spotty. So I'm looking for face care products that could help my skin to look fresher, brighter, work on spots.
At work we have Avon representative who showed me Avon CLEARSKIN PROFESSIONAL Products for Problem Skin with Persistent Breakouts: Cleansing Scrub (Step 1), Toner Pads (Step 2) and Correcting Lotion (Step 3). All they were on promotion - half price - £2.5 each. I decided to try Cleansing Scrub and Toner Pads.

How to use
Apply scrub to wet hands and rub well over your face. Rinse well with water. Use daily. But if your skin is dried out reduce use of the scrub to every other day.
After your face is washed use toner pads. You'll see on the pad how much dirt the wash or scrub has left on your skin!
So, I've been using Avon Clearskin Professional Scrub and Toner Pads for a few months already. I have had good and bad days, but You know what - I don't see any difference.... When my skin looked fine - it looked fine, when I had spots and blemishes - it didn't clear up my skin at all. Though these products were supposed to clear up acne spots and help prevent new blemishes.
Well the smell of this scrub was OK, I even liked it, but the smell of pads... It even remained on my skin. So instead of putting my day or night cream, I used to rinse my face with water again... Because I just couldn't stand that horrible smell.
I am really disappointed with these Avon Clearskin Professional products. I didn't expect miracles to happen but at least some improvement would have been great! I simply hoped the scrub and the toner pads would refresh, brighten, clean my skin, remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. But they actually didn't do much.... My skin was just washed but that's it. Yes, the scrub contains micro-particles. It's just a pity they didn't help me.
Thank God this Avon scrub didn't dry out my skin (just as none of other washes or scrubs that I have used) so I could use it daily: morning and evening. Other way I should have bought one more wash or scrub for a change... What a great saving that would have been!..
Well, I have used many scrubs and pads. A lot of them were much better and while using them I could really notice the difference. So I really wouldn't recommend these Avon Clearskin Professional Scrub and Toner Pads.
I've read reviews that other women find these Avon products very helpful but my experience is different. I really think there are much better products on the market. So my advice is - think very well before buying Avon Clearskin Professional Scrub or Toner Pads.
Thanks for reading!

i bought the 3 steps and have been really pleased with the products.
I found the cleanser was really thick and easy to put on and you could feel your skin tingling while using it. My only negative with this product was that the menthol smell was very strong and is not a smell i am overly keen on.
The toner pads were great, there was also a slight tingle to the skin, the alcohol smell (similar to nail varnish remover) was not too overpowering. The pads were not too big which made them ideal for around the eyes and nose and you could see any last remnants of dirt or make up you had missed cleansing come off.
The correcting fluid was easy to apply and soaked into the skin nicely.
On the whole, this is definitely a product I would re-buy when used, it made my face feel really fresh and clean, it brought the badness to the top of my skin and I had a breakout after I started using it but haven't since and the packaging is done nicely in silver so doesn't look unsightly on any bathroom shelf. Great value for money too.
I am 41 and have severe cystic nodule acne and just finished my 4th prescription of acutane which is a powerful acne drug. I have used everything under the sun and decided to give Avon's clearskin a try.....best yet!!!! Mind you I still break out...but that won't change unless I get Blu - U Therapy with Levulan(a powerful gel drug)....so for now this Avon product is managing my acne quite well. I definitely recommend it to anyone with acne and/or blemishes as it has taken away some pretty bad blemishes which was a miracle in my eyes.
Although I'm heading fast towards my thirties, I still suffer from the occasional blemish. Usually I combat this with Clinique's 3 Step skincare regime but in these credit crunch times I though I'd give these Avon products a go because I'm not sure I can justify forking out so much for skincare products. Plus throughout the Avon catalogue they compare their prices to similar designer or high street products so I figured they ought to be able to compete.
I bought all three of the Clear Skin Professional products and used them consistently twice a day for two weeks to see if they work.
~~~Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub ~~~
The texture of this is nice and not too rough. It is white in colour with small blue grains and has a pleasantly fresh fragrance like the other two products. It left my skin feeling smooth and very clean.
~~~ Clarifying Toner Pads ~~~
These are sold in pots of 45 so one pot will only last for just over three weeks which didn't seem very long given that the usual selling price for these is £5. The pads are very thin and didn't feel like they were doing much in the way of toning. After use the pads showed no traces of make-up or grime. Usually after toning I find that the cotton wool pad has some faint traces of dirt but that wasn't the case with these so either the cleansing scrub is very good at cleansing or these toner pads are very ineffective.
~~~ Daily Correcting Lotion ~~~
This comes in a nice pump action bottle and you only need a small amount so I suspect one bottle would last a reasonably long time. The lotion had was light in texture and went on nicely and didn't leave my skin feeling at all greasy.
~~~ Do they work? ~~~
For the first three days of use I was impressed with these products as they seemed to clear up the few minor blemishes that I had. However, after this time I found that I was getting quite a few small spots and in places where I'm not usually prone to them such as on my cheeks (usually they stick to my chin and jawline). I also found that my skin was getting really uncomfortable. After using the products I was left with a nasty prickly feeling which lasted for 15 minutes or so.
After two weeks of use, the appearance of many more spots prompted me to switch back to my usual Clinique products. Within two days my skin had cleared up completely so I won't be picking up the Avon products again in a hurry.
Another complaint I have with these products is the lack of any directions on how to use them. The cleansing scrub directed me to apply it after wetting my hands but should my face also be wet? The toner pads had nothing in the way of instruction but the two sides of the pad appeared to have diferent textures so I was slightly confused about which side I was supposed to use. The only directions on the correcting lotion told me to keep it out of my eyes and the reach of children. Perhaps I was using the products incorrectly and that was why I found they didn't work? I'll never know if that's the case because I've passed them onto my sister to see if she has more luck with them.
These are attractively packaged products and seem good value for money but in my experience they don't really do the job.
I brought the step 1 facial exfoliating wash which is 125ml and step 2 toning pads as part of an offer buy any two selected skin care items for £5 on the Avon's website online. My face has cleared incredibly since following this routine. I found the facewash very good most exfoliating fash washes seem to Irritate and are to rough for my skin but this was perfect it was really Gentle it made my clean feel alot softer and fresh. The toner pads contain 45 pads i like these the most it is quick and simple for busy people. it only takes me two seconds to tone my face rather then having to go and get the cotton wall. When you use the pads you can feel them starting work and feel the tea tree. The only problem i had with these is the online shop it wasnt the straight foward to change your delivery address once you press complete there is no going back.
Even though I am in my late 20's, I still suffer with spots constantly and have major breakouts every few weeks. I decided to try Avon's 3 step Clearskin Professional regime for problem skin with persistant breakouts. They claim that people of all ages can use this.
I bought the Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub (normally £5), Clarifying Toner Pads (normally £5 for 45) and the Daily Correcting Lotion (normally £7). I got all of this half price and there are always offers on in the Avon brochures.
I used all of the products twice a day, and I can honestly say that after a week, my skin was clearer and I wasn't getting anymore spots. The only problem with the 3 steps is the cleansing scrub. I found that this made my skin feel very dry. I decided to cut this out and use an Avon cream cleanser instead and this seemed to do the trick. I do suffer with dry skin so I think this is why the cleansing scrub didn't agree with me.
You can order these products by contacting your local Avon representative or by ordering off their website. There are always offers on these products which means that you could get all 3 for around £10.
This sort of reminds me of the clinique steps, but for a cheaper price. I've been using this 3 step plan for 3 months now and my skins has cleared up a great deal. Step 1 is a cleansing scrub, which I find really effective and you only need to cleanse once with this where as other products i've needed to clean my face twice to get rid of make up. Step 2 are toning pads, you get a good quantity of these and again, because the cleansing scrub is so good, you only need to use one of these pads. Step 3 is a moisturiser, I personally don't use this moisturiser often, I use the steps in a morning and evening, this moisturiser is quite weak and watery, it's personally not good for me when using in the morning because I apply make up straight after and it seems to water down my foundation. At night, I do tend to use the moisturiser as because its a littl watery, it feels light on my face before I go to bed. The price of this is quite good, Avon regularly have offers on, the first time I purchased these steps, I got all 3 for £10, the second were half price so the offers in each book sort of average it out to be around the same each time. I have always had a problem with spots, mainly because of wearing make up every day, not only has this cleared my spots, but also helped clear my black heads. I can't see me using any other product in the near future so i'd highly recommend this to anyone!
I bought this from Avon a little while ago as I do get the odd outbreaks of spots quite frequently. It had good reviews about it so I thought I would give it ago as nothing I tried seemed to do much good, I have to say I was quite impressed with it.
This product comes in three steps which you buy individually, it boasts a professional treatment and clearer skin in just three days when you use all three steps together.
Step 1 : Cleanser - £5 : With this product you simply put water on your hands then use the cleanser and rub into your face and then wash off. This cleanser contains lots of little blue beads that help to really cleanse your skin. After using this product your skin does feel very smooth however it does tend to anger any spots you have and make them red that I guess is to help remove them more effectively.
Step 2 : Toner - £5 : With this product you simply rub into your face, the product comes with wet pads with ridges that is supposed to tone your skin. This product may be a little harsh for skin in my opinion as you do get a little stinging sensation after use, but again our skin does feel smooth after use.
Step 3 : Corrector Lotion - £7 : This product is the actual one that is supposed to get rid of spots. There is no irritation with this lotion and it does get results. All you need do is use a little lotion on your face so it does last a while.
Overall this product did work very well for me, if I use all the steps before bed I can notice a significant difference by morning (reduced spots, smoother skin and overall better looking skin).
Acne treatment system from Avon /
