When it comes to face masks I'm a huge fan of them as a rule. I think it's just cos I see them as a pampering product more than anything else and so if I have a hot date or I'm going out on big night out with the girls I can usually be found prior to the event with a face mask on and lazing in the bath and the likes! Ok I'm vain...I admit it lol.

Not being a fan of Avon products but loving my rep, Anita I always feel obliged to purchase something from her so I tend to buy stuff on offer or reduced to mainly keep her happy lol.

I saw this on offer at £5.00 a tub (usual price £8.50) and decided that as I use face mask alot it wouldn't hurt to give this one a go!

The Packaging....

Has slightly changed lately so is not as depicted as on the top of this review page! The mask now comes in a clear 75ml pot with a white screw on/off lid to the top of it and on that there is a very light pink and white label on there and on that I'm told it's Planet Spa Japanese Sake And Rice invigorating face Mask from Avon and the size is stated. The pot comes in an off white box and again on the front I'm told what it is and all the information given on the pot is once again listed. On the bottom of the box ingredients are listed, contact details for Avon are given and the recycle symbol is displayed. What is nice about this product is that for once Avon has given us a bit of information about what we've purchased. I'm fed up of buying products from this company and not knowing how to use them from time through a lack of directions given! This however has a white leaflet in the box and on that I'm told a bit about the product and then shown a reflexology map of the face and then all that information is of course given in the usual style of Avon....given over and over again in foreign languages lol.

A Bit About The Product According to The leaflet....

This revitalizing face mask removes dry, flaky skin as it cleans while the massaging action relaxes stressed, tense muscles and helps stimulate circulation.

Usage....

Massage into damp skin applying gentle pressure to acupuncture points indicated on included face map. Leave on for 5 minutes until mask lightly dries. Using fingertips, massage of mask gently in circular motion. Rinse remaining mask off with warm water. Use 2 times a week.

Using It...

Well the first time you go to use this product and twist off the lid you're met with a pull off piece of white plastic which keeps the product fresh. Then I was shocked (due to the quantity not being very much at all and less than half the supplied tub) with a highly sweet and creamy very wet and runny face mask which is oatmeal beige in colour with bits of bran in there sort of looking like you've made some porridge up far too runny!

Applying it due to the consistency is very easy and a little of this product really does go a long way indeed. It smears on rather transparent and all you can see is the small bits of exfoliating beads which there is an abundance of. Following the instructions I apply it to slightly damp skin and first off massage it all over my face which although it feels quite exfoliating it really doesn't feel scratchy or uncomfortable no matter how much pressure you apply using it. I then, with the help of the face map included in the box massage certain areas. An example of this is if you massage your chin your massaging your sexual organs...ahem.

Then after a couple of minutes of gentle massage and another quick rub over my face I leave the mask to do it's job for a few minutes until it dries as promised slightly. It gives off a rather weird cooling and heated sensation as it penetrates the skin and the only issue I had with this mask is that it really did make my eyes water though it wasn't a huge problem it did make one of my eyes feels lightly sore for the duration this product was on my face.

Rinsing it off was easy to do and I simply used cool water and that was that it was all very straightforward and uncomplicated to use.

Verdict....

Easy to use this is truly a gorgeous product and no wonder it normally costs £8.50 a tube to be fair to it. Not only does it leave skin smelling gorgeous and luxurious, skin looks a hundred per cent brighter and smoother (in my opinion). It really did deep down cleanse my skin and it felt so clean! My lines and wrinkles looked softer and all round my skin just looked so hydrated (in a none greasy way) and was as smooth as a babies bum! I find that if I use this a couple of times a week as a skin treat my skin appreciates it and overall my complection looks so much brighter prior to using this and I've had no new spots or blackheads appear of late. I really, really rate this as a luxurious skin treatment for men and women who really need a skin brightener and desire smooth skin ta boot!

Only available from Avon.

Summary: Brilliant Avon!
