***WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?***
It is a rich body lotion by Avon's Skin So Soft range. It is designed to leave your skin "touchably soft". The shiny, squeezable tube holds 250ml. It is transparent enabling you to see the two different coloured moisturisers that are designed to mix as you massage it into your skin. It contains amongst other ingredients sweet almond and jojoba oil. The lid is flip-top. The front design has the S.S.S logo with a description of the product and a pink/green swirl in the background. It is available in 'soft & sensual' and 'soft & fresh'. I will be reviewing 'soft & sensual'.
***DOES IT WORK?***
I tend to use body lotions or creams after having a bath to ensure maximum absorbency which is what I use this one for. I first used it after shaving my legs as they tend to dry out a lot afterwards. The squeezy tube delivered a metered amount onto my hand with little effort, the pink and white creams came out evenly which was a relief. It was runny enough to spread out over my skin without too much rubbing yet thick enough to have a lasting effect. My skin was left glossy, and youthful looking without feeling too greasy to the touch. I applied further amounts to the rest of my body with the same results. My skin still felt moisturised the next morning and I had no spots - which is often a problem I have with heavy moisturisers.
***IS IT AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE?***
It is a pleasure to use and will certainly be looking out for it in future Avon campaigns. The texture glided on easily without any painful over-rubbing. The fragrance is beautifully subtle and lasted a good few hours after use. The tube looks pretty which means you have have it on display on your dressing table. Having a flip-top lid is so much easier than a screw on lid.
I bought mine in a sale catalogue last year for about £2.00. Avon regularly have deals on their products and so the prices change quite often - I would be happy to spend up to £4.00 for one of these. After checking their current campaign online at www.avonshop.co.uk, it is on offer at £3.00 each (usual retail price £4.50).
