I came across some positive reviews for this cleanser so decided to give it a try when I managed to get free p&p with Avon online. I have mediocre skin, in the sense that I have spots, blocked pores and blemishes but not to a serious extent. Being in my mid-20s, I'm willing to look at anything to help improve the appearance of my skin; thus far, Pore-Fection has been a reasonable cleanser that I'm pleased to have bought, even though it doesn't work miracles.
Solutions is a range of Avon skincare that focuses on problematic skin, and I've tried a few things from it and have been at least fairly pleased with all of them. The Solutions Plus Pure Pore-Fection is designed to be a 'self-foaming cleanser' that targets oily skin, blemishes and large pores. This sounded ideal to me, not just because it should provide a thorough clean and help prevent/clear spots, but because it works on reducing shine and the appearance of pores.
To use, simply squirt a few blobs of the mousse on to your finger tips and massage in to damp skin on your face and neck. Make sure to rinse well afterwards and keep away from eyes. This can be used daily morning and night, though if you notice any dry patches or irritation occuring, either reduce or discontinue use. I personally only use this once a day at most, often this won't be daily.
This comes in a very plain, simplistic plastic bottle (which is white in colour and less scientific looking than the version in the picture). It's mostly white with some green detailing in the text, and actually looks quite professional with its minimalism. The plastic top is translucent so you can see the dispenser mechanism underneath. On the back is a label that you can open to read the instructions; it doesn't say anything about the product itself really, just very briefly how to apply it in several different languages.
This has quite a sweet, almost chemical like smell; I wouldn't say it's pretty but I guess you could say it smells like it should work! It doesn't lather thickly as it comes out as quite a light foam. I tend to shake the bottle a bit first then squirt a bit, spread over my face and massage in. It's quite watery but focus on the areas that are most problematic, for instance, over your nose/t-zone to target larger pores. It rinses off very easily and the whole process seems very simple and quick.
After using, I do notice that my skin feels cleaner and refreshed, but dealing with problem skin is a longer-term effect. Having used it for weeks/months, I noticed some difference with the general appearance of my skin; it did look a bit 'cleaner', with less noticeable pores across the t-zone. My skin was also less shiny, though the cleanser did dry my skin slightly so I pop a small bit of moisturiser on afterwards. However, it wasn't a miracle cure for spots/blemishes or blackheads, it just helped to reduce them and clear out my skin. I'd say this would be best used in conjunction with other products to target spots, such as a Witch Stick, and perhaps a facial scrub before use 2-3 times a week.
Overall, when used over time this does seem to help the appearance of skin. Pores did seem a bit smaller and I'd definitely say my skin seemed less shiny, which is always a good thing. It's something to help problem skin and pores over time, but it won't necessarily be a quick or magical result.
150ml, can still be found online such as Ebay for around £3. I believe this may have had other similar names too over time.

I bought this product a while ago and still have a little of this left. It isn't a product that I use every time when I wash my face as I chop and change my product due to my skin being pretty bad, but I like to use a product for a few weeks, then change to another product.
This comes in a 150ml bottle and this costs £5 normally but it is often on a special offer - this being Avon. I think I paid £3 for this when I bought this.
The bottle looks a bit different than the picture on here. The bottle is still white but the blue-green colouring is more bold on my one than it is on here. The bottle is a pump action style bottle and I squirt out 3 pumps of this and this gives me a good amount of thick foam. There isn't a huge amount of scent from this but it is just a slight medical astringent kind of scent. It is a nice subtle scent.
The 3 squirts of this cover my face and neck with a good coverage and this rinses off easily as well.
so how do I find that this works on my skin? I find that this works well for the kind of skin that I have. This is specially for Oily or Dry skin and the book states that this will provide a complete balance and remove the look of oil without drying the skin which will leave your skin balanced. Sounds good. I have Oily skin but dry cheeks, and I find that this seems to make my Oily forehead appear more matt and smooth and my Cheeks don't get dried out even more with this.
This is a lightweight foam which cleans my face well and although doesn't get rid of my spots I find that this doesn't cause any more either.
I was flicking through the avon catalogue, just looking for some face wash and found that this particular product was on offer, something like 3 bottles of face stuff in the same catorgory for only a fiver!! This immediately got my attention and after having a quick look at what other offers they had in there, I went straight back to this product.
When I first got it, it was quite odd, because I was expecting the liquid inside to be, soapy and creamy, but when I squirted the it out onto my hands, it came out all foamy and bubbly. Not saying that it was disapointing or anything, it was just a bit of a surprise. Once you put it on your face, the foam actually stays there, not like some other cheaper brands that I have bought in the past. Not only that but when it comes to washing in off again, it comes off really easy, and more to the point, you are very unlikely to leave a little splodge of it on your face accidentally.
It is a very smooth texture and when it touches your fingers, you can almost feel the bubbles popping away, which almost a tingling sensation, which is quite nice. You would think that if the liquid inside is going to foam up then you would need to shake if first, but surprisingly, you dont have to.
I bought this product before avon changed all their bottles around and ade them look all metallic. When I first got this product it was in a green theme, therefore it was green see through bottles (see through being the thing which I usually go for) with a green see through lid. The reason for buying product which have clear bottles being that I can tell how much I have left. With this new design, I can see that you simply would not be able to tell if there is any liquid left in the bottle at all.
From what I can tell from the picture above, they have not changed the way the liquid comes out of the bottle, which I think was a good way of working. But it also shows that there is no lid, now this might be to get a better picture of the product, but if it doesn't have a lid then that might be something which would put me off, as I am always worried when I products without lids, the liquid is going spill out and ruin anything else I have in thr same area.
The scent, smells like apples. It is quite sweet, and leaves your hands with a smell on them for quite some time. In my opinion all face washes smell like apples, so I'm not complaining. This product is particulary aimed at people with oily skin. This is why it worked very well with my skin.
Overall I think that this is a very good product, although I wouldn't buy it every month, I have definately had better value for money where face washes are concerned. If you want shine free skin, then this is the product for you.
