I was lucky to pick up a mega set from TK Maxx recently which had some Bare Minerals skin care in it, a foundation and a brush, all for the extremely low price of £12.99. Believe me that is a bargain for this brand and it wasn't even in their sale, that was just the price!
This gentle, purifying cleanser powered by BareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex will not only remove makeup but also dissolves impurities and re-balances your skin for a soft, smooth complexion. Your skin will be left feeling perfectly clean and instantly hydrated -. Yyour answer to renewed skin.
This cleanser comes with a flip top lid and inside is a hole to squeeze out the product, of which you only need a tiny amount.
The back of the bottle advises applying a small amount to a damp face, massaging in to a lather then rinsing off. This is a foaming cleanser and very easy to apply. My skin felt a little tight afterwards but it often does after cleansing.
I liked this cleanser, it was easy to use and I used a toner afterwards to remove any traces of the soap based cleanser. My bottle is 60 ml but it will last ages as you only need a tiny amount each time.
On the Look Fantastic Website, a 177 ml bottle of this cleanser is £15 which seems quite reasonable for this premium brand.
I am glad I got to try this facial cleanser as it really felt nice on my skin and it lathered up well. I think I will be able to use it with my Konjac sponge too (see earlier review) which will make the product go further.
Bare minerals cleanser
I recently bought the Bare Essentials make up range and decided to have a go with the skin products. This appealed to me because it is a kind of cleanse and go product with no need to wipe off the face,
This promises to leave the skin leave skin feeling perfectly clean, hydrated and renewed. The cleanser contains the 100% Rare Minerals ActiveSoil complex (I don't know what this is but it sounds as though it should be good). As well as removing face make up it will apparently also remove eye make up, so this gets better and better as one product can do it all. It is designed for all skin types and it is also suitable for young skin; Little Miss has also been using it and it has had no adverse effects on her skin. It has no parabens synthetic fragrances or artificial oils so should be kind to most skins.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The product comes packaged in a box with information and instructions on the sides of the box. Inside the box is an information leaflet telling me all about the brand as well as giving further information on the benefits of the product. The bottle itself is white and quite clinical looking again with more information about the product. It has a pump action dispenser and a couple of full presses on the pump usually dispenses enough of the product to cleanse the face. The cleanser itself is white in colour and looks slightly creamy, which is good because to me this suggests that it wont dry out my skin.It has a very faint almost medicinal smell but nothing overpowering.
HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT...
The instructions on the bottle tell me to splash my face with water ad then massage the cleanser over the entire face to create a creamy lather. This creamy lather is easy to achieve and the product does feel really gentle as I massage it into my face. It should then be rinsed off using warm water and for best results used morning and night. There is another way to use it as the lady in the shop told us. If in a hurry, the product can be massaged into the skin and then wiped off using damp cotton wool. I have tried this several times and it really does still seem to get rid of all make up and traces of dirt.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The product is available online and also in large department stores; I bought mine from Debenhams. It costs £15 for 177ml, which seems pricey but only a little is needed and it lasts for ages.
I really like this cleanser. It is easy to use and leaves my skin feeling really cleansed. I always moisturise after cleansing but on the odd occasion I haven't done so, this hasn't left my skin feeling as though it has dried out. It does as it says and also removes eye make up without stinging my eyes.
I will certainly be buying this again for myself and Little Miss.
