~Triple Performing~

Benefit offer a few different facial moisturisers. Today I will be discussing the 'Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion'.

This moisturiser is oil free and designed for dehyrated skin. It contains SPF 15. When applied in the morning after cleansing your face, Benefit claim that this moisturiser will 'hydrate, protect and comfort the skin'.

This moisturiser is presented in a glass bottle much like a bottle of posh water. The bottle is simple in design and comes complete with a cork top.

~Price and Availability~

A 50.3ml bottle of Triple Performing can be purchased from Benefit counters and online in the UK. Stockists include Debenhams and Boots. Expect to pay around £19.50 per bottle.

~My Thoughts~

I am always on the look out for the perfect facial moisturiser and often sample higher priced brands to see if it is worth paying the premium cost for a really good moisturiser. Whenever I go shopping with my sister, I normally come home with lots of samples and last month, I managed to get a few samples of Triple Performing from the Benefit counter. These samples lasted me a few weeks so more than enough time to trial and give a decent opinion on this moisturiser.

Before I go further, I feel I need to tell you about my skin. My skin is mainly dry - especially on my forehead. I occasionally have oil break outs where my skin is shiny and feels awful. On these occasions, I need a less intensive moisturiser and something a bit more suited to combination skin. This moisturiser is great for oily, normal and dry skin in my opinion.

Triple Performing has a lovely consistency. It is white and has a light cream texture. It also has a fresh scent which is a combination of fruity and soapy - it is quite pleasant and inoffensive. Normally I dab moisturiser on my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose and then massage it in. I wouldn't recommend doing that with this moisturiser as it starts to soak in quickly. I apply a small blob at a time and concentrate on the different areas of my face.

Triple Performing feels very lightweight during application and despite being oil free, it does feel like an oily serum at first. It soaks into my skin effortlessly and super quick leaving absolutely no residue on my skin. My skin appreciates this nourishing 'drink' and the surface of my skin is left smooth, soft and shine free with a matte texture - it does soak up oily parts. My skin is hydrated after use. When used on dry skin days, the dryness is less noticeable but I do prefer a heavier moisturiser when my skin is very dry. My skin also feels fresh after application due to the cool nature of this moisturiser. My make up can be applied without the hassle of oily or dryness making it look dodgy.

~Conclusion~

Overall I quite like Triple Performing moisturiser. Not only does it have a small amount of SPF (always appreciated in a daily moisturiser for sun exposure days), it does perform well. My skin benefits from the effects of this moisturiser throughout the day and I find it to be very versatile.

I would say it is aimed more at those with oily skin due to its oil free nature. My skin is predominately dry (90% of the time) so I do not feel I would get full use of a full size bottle. I am happy to use the samples when I can get them for oily emergencies! Due to the consistency, only a small amount of this moisturiser is needed each morning so a bottle would last well which is good considering the high price tag!

Thanks for reading :)
