I bought Bio-oil as I have a couple of scars and wanted something to improve their appearance and make the skin smoother. It comes in different sizes of 200ml, 125ml, and 65ml; the bigger bottle is the best value and is around £10 on Amazon at the moment, which is where I usually buy mine from. As you don't use a lot, the bottle lasts for months so is quite good value in my opinion.

It contains vitamins A and E, Calendula, Lavender and Rosemary Oils, along with PurCellin Oil. It features a clear bottle which is handy as you can see how much is left. It has a white screw cap top and when you unscrew it, there is a hole in the top of the bottle. This is good as only a bit can come out at the time, so it means you don't waste much.

It has quite a pleasant light scent which is not overpowering. I have been quite impressed with the product. You only need a small amount, and when you rub it in I feel my skin is smoother and more supple. It also absorbs well into the skin. As for whether it has improved the appearance of my scars I am not sure; they have improved in appearance but I am not sure if this is simply due to them healing or because I have been using Bio-Oil. I would say it has had an impact though, as applying it to the skin improves the feel and texture so is bound to have helped the healing and the appearance.

Overall, if you have scars you want to give a bit of extra care to, I would recommend buying this product and giving it a go. It has definitely made my skin more supple, and feel more cared for. I think the protection and care it gives must work with the skin to improve the scars appearance and texture. Mine do look better since I started using the product.
