I generally have found Biotherm products to be of very good quality and really like to try out as many as I can (when I can afford them). In terms of brands I think it falls within the category of the dermalogica ilk - a medium to expensive brand which uses innovate scientific research to produce high quality products. This definitely falls within this category and frankly if the products works then screw the price tag. The tube itself is a light pink coloured tube with the biotherm logo and a screw top lid. I like the design because it is functional and in no way over the top. It makes me think that the price you are paying is really for the product and not for some flashy design. The tube is made of flexible plastic, making it very easy to squeeze all the contents out of. It is also handy because when it is near the end you can cut it open to get every last bit out. The screw top lid is also very handy. It feels extremely secure and the opening allows just enough cream to be released so you don't feel like you are wasting it - and honestly with this cream you don't actually need much anyway. The cream itself is thick and luxurious to touch. It feels very smooth on application and absorbs easily into the skin. I don't have particularly dry skin and tend to use this product in combination with some of my established beauty favourites but I definitely noticed a difference in the cold winter months. I would probably only use this product in winter as a result of this, I think you might find it a little thick and heavy in the summer when your skin feels better anyway because of the sun. The one thing I did find was really great about the cream was that is evened my skin tone. I sometimes find I have raised blotchy red areas, an assumed irritant caused by cat hair, and this instantly cooled and relieved this. As a result I wouldn't hesitate to use this on delicate, sore or irritated skin. This is a great plus for me as I find some moisturisers are too harsh on damaged skin and can just cause further irritations. In terms of price I am a little torn. I think this product is great and something I would definitely invest in for winter but it is a little pricey at £20.00 a bottle. That said, it does last for ages (5/6 months for me) and it does make my skin feel great which softens the blow of the cost. Overall? A great product for the cold winter months.
At first glance this may look like an over priced and unnecessary product however in reality it is an excellent moisturising cream that works well with my rather sensitive and dry skin. I suffer from very dry skin most of the year and especially in the colder weather and this cream is excellent at keeping it healthy and smooth looking. It costs about £20 however in my opinion if the product works well then it is a small price to pay. It comes in a soft pink coloured tube with the Biotherm logo and simple type. It has a screw top lid which is nice and secure and also this forms the base for it to stand upon. It is a nice functional design, nothing flashy however I do like the fact that the nozzle is narrow enough to mean that you do not get too much from a slight squeeze of the tube. The cream is quite thick so this is improtant as you do not need a lot in any one application and you certainly do not want to be wasting any of it. Before use it is beneficial to was and cleanse your skin first before applying the cream, this will make it more effective and get better results. It is really absorbant and you only need to use a small amount. It really does improve the dryness of my skin leabving it fully moisturised, this means that it looks healthier and almost glowing. When it is really dry it can even be flakey and I get none of that when I use this product and the results are really quick to show through with only a couple of aplications making a noticeable difference. I also like the fact that it has only a slight antiseptic odour to it and that soon fades after application so it does not clash with any other fragrances that i use. I love this moisturising cream and would certainly recomend it especially for those with dry skin.
This is an excellent moisturising cream especially suited for those who are suffering with very dry skin and it is pretty amazing with some excellent results. The downside is that it will set you back about £20 however I still reckon that to be good value for money given the quality of the product and the quality of the results. The packaging is nice and functional and nothing special, the tube is pink in colour and quite girly looking with simple lettering. It has a screw top lid which acts as the base as well. Inside the cream is quite thick so you do not want to squirt too much out in any one go as you do not need to use a lot as it has really good coveridge. Before use you should cleanse and tone your skin and then apply it evenly to your face and neck. It blends into my skin really easily and my skin absorbs it quickly. I like the fact that the white cream is pretty much odourless. It has a slight antiseptic smell to it but it is barely detectable and certainly once applied I cannot detect it on my face or hands. It certainly does deserve the name tag of ultra on it as it is very effective and you do not have to apply a lot, just a small amount at any one time. I would certainly recommend this as it is a great product and I have found no negatives with it at all. One to look out for and stock up on if you see it as part of an offer.
Oh YAY! I'm the first person to write a review on something that I didn't suggest - that hasn't happened in a while! Now I'm about half way through my Biotherm reviews and the last 2 Ive written have been a bit slating towards the brand so I thought Id write a review now on a product I did really like "Biotherm Aquasource Ultra Moisturizing Cream" which Ive now been using on an off for around 3 weeks and I think Ive fallen in love! I never thought Id consider going to buy another tube of any of the Biotherm products after the ones I got in the set ran out but I really am thinking about it with this one because it has produced some amazing results for me and I like to continue looking that good! Useful Information: Price: Around £20 - But prices do really vary for this particular product. Stockists: Amazon, Debenhams, House Of Fraser & Boots. For: Delivering intensive moisture to dry skin, leaves skin feeling fresh & supple, can restores skins vitality after prolonged use, has a special lightweight formula that means it can be applied at any time of the day & is perfect for helping out dry skin. I really like the packaging this comes in because as I say all the time in reviews I am a sucker for anything pink! This cream comes in a medium sized baby pink tube with a screw off lid which you simply squeeze the cream out of. Too much coming out the tube shouldn't be a problem here as the cream has a thickish consistency so it wont come running out the tube if your a bit heavy handed so therefore you wont waste any. Only a small amount is needed to cover your whole face and neck - about a 5p piece worth Id say - and Biotherm do recommend you cleanse and tone first for best results - use a different brand cleanser and toner though LOL. The cream itself is quite thick and a simple white in colour. It also doesn't have much of a fragrance to it - a slightly fresh yet clinical smell maybe but it is very faint and once its on your skin you cant smell it. Good or bad thing I'm not sure - make up your minds on that one. It rubs in quickly and easily but because it is a bit thicker it may take ever so slightly longer to sink in - but it doesn't leave grease or anything on your skin while its there so you can still go out wearing this and not look super shiny. I really do love the results I get from this cream and I'm going to gush about it now! Ive been using this for around 3 weeks in the morning and night and Ive definitely seen a difference in my skins appearance and feel. It works as a great base for make-up, stops dry skin dead in its tracks and my face looks really refreshed and clean whenever Ive used this. Although I don't suffer from dry skin very much I get that annoying line right across my nose which everyone can see but since Ive started using this that line has not appeared once so I'm dead impressed. I'm not going to comment on the prolonged uses because I don't feel Ive used it enough for my opinion to count but so far I think my skin looks healthier and more radiant so it must be doing something right! I would highly recommend this whether you suffer with dry skin or not because I think everyone could use a little bit more hydration and that is just what this cream delivers - Ill be stocking up on more!
