A good product I'll buy again if I can afford it.

I recently ordered a few biotherm products as I saw them at relatively cheap prices on amazon. I have used some of their products before with mixed results but find that when they get it right they get it really right.

Face masks are probably my favourite part of my beauty regime. I apply one probably once a week to give my skin some added indulgence. I have tried quite a few different ones and found them all generally good, with a few stand out products that really do a great job. This mask was purchased because I wanted to try something new from the brand.

The product design is nice, functional and simple. It comes in a blue and white plastic tube, with flip lid and a small hole for application. The plastic tube is handy because it is flexible and you able to cut it open as the product begins to run out. I always think Biotherm focus far more on creating a quality product than the design, and this is always evident in the bottle, tubes and tubs their products come in. They are perfectly functional but normally unexciting. I like this about the brand because it gives me faith the the product will be good.

The mask is primarily made from clay. It is white in colour and relatively thick feeling. The instructions on the tube suggest you use the products twice a week but I tend to only use it one - for those of you with oily skin though it might be a good idea to use it twice as the clay is meant to be super absorbing. I love the thick texture of the mask as it feels extremely luxurious when applied to your skin. It does mean, however, that you have to use a fair amount to distribute it evenly across your face. The mask feels quite tight on your face as it dries. It says to leave it on for 5 minutes but I like to leave it on for 10 to give my skin a proper relaxation and reduce the number of breakouts. After 10 minutes it is very hard and can be a little tricky to rub off. I always use it when my hair is wet otherwise I either get the product in my hair or get my hair wet when taking it off. Once the mask is off though the skin feels very smooth and soft, it does feel quite tight and can be a little dry so you do need to moisturise afterwards.

The mask has lasted me 2 months so far and I am probably 1/2 of the way through the contents. I think that is pretty good going for a face mask, even if I only use it once a week. If the product can last me 4/5 months then I would only have to buy 2 a year with a little gap in between. The product retails at £16.95 for 75ml so I think that is a fairly affordable option. I would say though that there are cheaper products on the market that may offer slightly lesser quality but are a third of the price. I guess at the time of purchase you just have to weigh up whether it seems affordable or not and let that be the deciding factor.

If I can afford it I'll buy it again.
