Lately I have been using Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist which is made by Biotherm and I want to tell you how absolutely gorgeous this stuff is. I love everything about it. After a long hard day at work I like nothing better than coming back home and having a nice relaxing hot shower. Afterwards I love to pamper myself with a luxury body spray and this is certainly a luxury one.
It cost me almost £26 for the 100ml spray but I do feel it was worth every penny. The packaging is nice and simple (I am not overly fond of elaborate packaging anyway). The container is a clear glass bottle with the spray diffuser at the top (well, where else would it be, really!)
The very first time I used this I immediately fell in love primarily with the wonderful citrus aroma. The overriding smell to me seems to be oranges but I can definitely detect background floral notes in there somewhere too, and the combination of both is simply gorgeous.
I spray it onto my body soon after showering and it delivers a fine light mist, which immediately settles onto my skin. As the mist takes time to 'settle in' I actually find that the perfume changes in its intensity and I feel it becomes slightly 'heavier or deeper' I am not very good at explaining how something smells. It just seems to be lighter upon first application but give it half an hour or so and there is definitely a subtle difference I find. A nice one, though.
The spray contains Vitamin E and it is so delightfully moisturising on my skin. I like to concentrate around the chest and torso and I find it leaves a lovely sheen on my skin but it never every feels greasy or heavy whatsoever.
I really do recommend this body mist. It is so nice I have actually just sprayed it onto my arms to use as a general perfume from time to time, though I know this is not what it's meant for!
It is gorgeous, luxurious, leaves my skin feeling velvety and moisturized and I really do recommend it.

I am a bit of a beauty product junkie and am forever buying things that I only use the once and don't really like. I am trying to economise but to still get my beauty fix I have joined a few swapping websites where I swap my nearly new products with other people who also have makeup and beauty products to swap.
I recently received a bag full of products from a lady in Glasgow which was full of products that I had never used before. One of these products was a bottle of Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist which is made by Biotherm.
The Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist is a 100ml spray which scents the skin and promises to awaken and energise your mind and body whilst lightly scenting your skin and leaving it silky smooth.
First of all the scent from this spray is absolutely gorgeous. It is overwhelmingly citrus smelling with orange being the dominant smell but it also have an undercurrent of florals. The spray lightly mists the skin and when putting it on after a shower or bath my skin is left smelling beautiful all day long.
The scent is so nice that I have taken to wearing it on its own without perfume but I just wish it was a little bit stronger smelling as it is quite subtle. Luckily I have a few orange based perfumes which compliment this mist nicely so I can also intensify the smell with one of those if I feel like it.
To describe what kind of smell this is I would definitely say it is a clean fresh smell and I do feel refreshed when wearing it.
As for the claims of it giving you an awakening and energy boost I'm not too sure. I think that the combinations of the scents in the spray are incredibly refreshing but to be honest I haven't noticed any great improvement when wearing it.
It also can't be used as a replacement for a moisturiser as although it doesn't dry my skin out it also doesn't have the greatest moisturising properties either and although parts of my skin are left velvety where I spray it I do still need to use a moisturiser first.
I had a look to see how much this sold for and I was shocked to see that it retails at around £26. I have bought a few Biotherm products before so I know they aren't cheap but this just seems excessive for what is basically a scented body mist similar to what is available at the body shop for a much more reasonable price. Because of the price I wouldn't buy this for myself when the bottle I'm using runs out. I do like it and enjoy using it but not for that price. If it was a little cheaper I would have definitely bought myself it again.
My current favourite body spray is this one from Biotherm, the Eai D' Energie Awakening Mist has a lovely smell to it and is very long lasting as well. Biotherm products are not cheap and this one will set you back £24.99 however in my opinion it is well worth the money.
There is a simplicity to the design of the bottle, this is all about functionality and the quality of the product rather than fancy design and presentation, the spray itself is an orange liquid and the bottle has very little clutter on it with just the product name and a curved strip and a little bit of product information. The lid is silver in colour and this you remove to operate the dispenser which delivers a fine mist of spray.
To be honest the price of this product is in line with some fragrances and the smell that greets you when you first apply it is rather strong like a perfume, it combines floral and fruity tones together to be very refreshing and light, it is not at all musky. It does settle down on your skin after a while to be a little more subtle. For me it has the prescence of jasmine combine with the citrus fruits of lemon and orange. The other thing that I find with this product is that it is really long lasting and does not llose a lot of its strength over the day. My skin smells nice without the smell being over powering.
Does it emergize you skin? Well I cannot say that it does. However it is a very well made body spray with a delightful fragrance and long lasting and you cannot really expect anything else from a body spray other than that.
Biotherm is a high end beauty brand which is currently part of the L'Oreal group. The range includes skincare for men and women, body products and make up.
*~*~*Biotherm & Fragrance*~*~*
Biotherm offer 3 different fragranced, body mists which claim to refresh, soften and perfume the skin.
*Eau Vitaminee - original and limited edition
*Eau de Paradis - a sensual scent
And then we have the Biotherm Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist which is available in the original form or the limited edition. The original Eau D'Energie, is a body mist which has been enriched with 27% natural fruit essences and Vitamin E. Its purpose is to moisturise the skin allowing it to be supple, comfortable and radiant.
The mist comes in a tall, rounded bottle which is almost identical to others in the Biotherm range. It is made of crystal, clear glass with an orange tint and is topped off with a silver neck and lid. The mist is dispensed through a sprayer for easy use.
Although this mist isn't an actual perfume, it has been created using fragrance notes which sit on the skin just like a perfume would and stronger than a body spray. Its awakening title comes into play in terms of scent as the mist offers a blend of orange pulp, physalis, apricot pulp, cyclamen, mandarin, lemon and fresh jasmine.
*~*~*Availability and Price*~*~*
Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist can be purchased online through the website www.biotherm.co.uk. It comes in a standard, 100ml size priced at £25.55. You can also purchase a matching body cream to layer up the scent.
*~*~*My Awakening Experience*~*~*
I like to smell good and have a rather large collection of perfumes and sprays. There is nothing worse than walking past someone smelly or someone wearing such an overpowering fragrance as either way..it makes me gag! I recently received a huge lot of Biotherm samples and in this lot, were a few vials of Eau D'Energie Awakening Mist and the Eau Vitaminee one. I love trying new scents and decided to try these out. Although they aren't actual perfumes, I believed they would provide me with a light, refreshing scent.
The full size bottle is quite pretty for a body mist but as a perfume it would lack style! My vials are spray ones. They have been ideal for popping into my handbag for a cheeky top up during the day. The vial spritzes an adequate amount of spray onto my skin and it feels cool and refreshing from the first application. I wear this alone without any other fragrance as it provides enough to be nice on its own but anything over the top would be a waste and would confuse the intended scent and effect.
Eau D'Energie provides a fresh and clean burst of scent from the outset. Although the scent doesn't go through stages of notes, I find the scents used have been blended together in such a way, that often you can pinpoint which scent is the strongest. To me, I can detect a light but plentiful aroma of a citrus concoction and the orange and mandarin and the strongest. The scent is just right in terms of strength..not as powerful as an EDP but not as weak as a body spray. There is a gentle sour edge to the scent but mostly it is generously sweet and quite juicy.
The scent does develop to a certain extent and whilst it is a blast of citrus at the start, it settles to a deeper, exotic aroma which I think should have peach in it but this isn't specified. There is a floral tone to it but this is very subtle which I appreciated. Throughout its time on my skin, it remains fresh and light but noticeable. I could imagine wearing this as a light scent during the summer or on holiday as it creates just enough scent to stick around. The scent remained on my skin for around 4-5hours which I found to be longer than some EDTs and after this time, I was happy to give a little top up to keep it going for the rest of the day.
The mist effect which contains Vitamin E, sits well with my sensitive and dry skin. Whilst I normally would just spritz perfume onto my wrist an neck, I go a bit further with this mist. My vials don't allow alot to be dispensed at once but I can imagine the full size bottle would be easier to spray across my skin. I spritz this across my arm and chest area which is most revealed when I am out and about. The mist doesn't leave any damp patches on my skin like my Soap and Glory mist and dries completely clear. It feels a little icky to begin with but settles to produce an effect which is desirable of a high quality body lotion. It allows my skin to feel clean, cool, fresh and soft and smooth to the touch. It is a nice feeling and lasts throughout the day even when the scent has gone.
I loved the citrus and fresh scent of this mist and it made my skin feel lovely. A tiny amount is needed to obtain a good strength of scent and it travels, surrounding my body with a bright and vibrant aroma which would be lovely during summer time. It isn't one that should be sprayed over clothes as it works its best when sprayed directly onto skin as it seems to infuse into the skin. The scent is much like Clarins Eau de Jardins.
It is really expensive for what is considering a body mist but if you can pick it up cheaper on offer anywhere then certainly try it. If I have the opportunity to buy the full size bottle at a reduced price then I will as it is simply gorgeous and when applied in the morning, it really gives my senses and skin a generous boost. I recommend it.
Thanks for reading x
I recently came across these scented sprays in one of my regular magazines in the 'things we love this month' section and thought I'd pop along to my nearest Biotherm counted to give them a try.
The ladies behind the counter are always helpful and friendly as I regularly browse around the counter looking for the occasional tester and they have always been willing to give advice and guidance.
I was lucky enough to grab a tester of this fragrance as it had only just been released so there was a promotion on of £5.00 off the normal price for the 100ml bottle taking it from £24.00 to £19.00. Even at these prices a free tester is always good news!
The 'fragranced body spray' comes in a very classy light orange coloured bottle with a silver top which looks like the kind of thing you get in an expensive spa, very minimal yet chic. (You can also get a limited edition bottle from the website that has a beautiful motif of flowers on the front).
The scent is advertised as being a 'new way to use fragrance' and it has been designed for use when you need a boost of energy. It contains 27% natural fruit essences, vitamin E and moisturising agents that gives skin softening properties or in the works of Biotherm 'comfortable, supple, velvety-smooth skin that radiates with softness and beauty'....sounds impressive!!
The 'perfume mist' contains notes of orange pulp, mandarin, physalis, lemon, apricot pulp, fresh jasmine and cyclamen, this is an energy boosting mix of fresh scents that are awakening and stimulating.
The first thing you smell is quite an intense hit of lemon which is very zingy and fresh, the orange and apricot notes come through slowly and the fragrance starts to warm up a little and the lemon becomes more subtle. After a few moment you can smell the jasmine coming through which gives it a warm sophistication while still being nice and fresh.
It settles down into a very pleasant scent that I can only describe as like warm fruity lemonade, which is a fabulous scent for a warm summer evening.
Being a sort of body spray rather than a fragrance per say I wasn't convinced of it's staying power, however it actually lasts a decent amount of time but I find I may need a little top-up later on if it's been particularly warm.
I really loved this fragrance and I'll definitely be putting this on my wish list as a future buy.
