I suffer from shaving rashes and ingrown hairs which painful bumps and redness over my neck and beard region. I have tried so many products over the years to try and if not eliminate this problem then to at least improve it slightly. Biotherm razor burn eliminator was an expensive mistake I made when I noticed it whilst killing time in the airport.

Biotherm is a brand which I like and I normally find their products to do pretty much what they say they will in a no fuss manner. Unfortunately I found the razor burn eliminator to be next to useless at doing what it promised to do.

Razor burn eliminator comes in a 100ml bottle and has the same classy no fuss look to its packaging. Inside the bottle is a lotion which it claims helps to relieve razor burn by soothing stressed skin after shaving.
The lotion is quite runny and I found it difficult to pour some into my hands without losing loads through my fingers before I managed to get it on my neck and lower face.

It is quite heavily scented which doesn't strike me as being particularly good for sensitized skin but on the plus side the smell is really nice and is reminiscent of an expensive aftershave.
I found that when I applied it straight after shaving that it actually stung my skin and left it feeling tender and red. This is probably to do with the fact that it contains alcohol which isn't really something that is recommended to be put on skin straight after shaving.

It did absorb into my skin really well and only left a slight sticky residue which soon faded. I did think it left the skin on my neck feeling really soft but I have a moisturiser for this and it isn't why I bought it. For its purpose it just didn't do the job, I actually got more relief just from my normal sensitive skin moisturiser than I did from this.

As this cost me £24 I feel like it was a complete and utter waste of money and I felt duped after using it.
If you suffer from razor burns and rashes then there are so many other better products on the market than this. Save yourself some money and buy some aloe vera gel instead.
