I switched to this facial polish after using what I thought was quite a good faming foaical wash, however that product seemed to produce a few blemishes that I wasn't happy with.
I persisted in using the foaming wash thinking and hoping it was just a part of cleansing my skin but it seemed to aggravte my skin more, thinking this was a good facial wash I wanted to see if I could find something that would be worth sticking to as shared in the 'foaming wash review' this would have been ideal to keep using due to it not being harash and the scent was uplifting and not medcinal.
This brand concentrates on using mirco-granules which is known to reduce excess oil on your skin and reducing pore sizes as well.
The most important thing to remember with this product is not to use to much, it is so tempting to use more becuase the recommended pea size amount doesn't seem sufficent but I found personally [each skin type is different] that the less I used the better!
I dampened my skin first and then with damp hands massaged into my skin in circular movements for the 30 seconds the product information on the back recommended. This lathered up enough to ease over my skin and didn't feel at all harsh or scratchy it that dry why that it usually does.
The results of using this, consistently for a month although it didn't clear the pores long term and didn't clear them up for good but I did notice a definite lift in the apperance of my skin,it looked cleansed and healthy. It looked fresher and clearer in places. The oil balance was much better again long term in didn't provide the result I was looking for. I would say for the duration of the day my skin looked oil free and I was really grateful for that, but by the time I left work I felt that part of my skin come back whereas with other brands it controls that oil zone much better and for longer.
It also helps reduce and even clear black heads so I would definitely recommended this product on the strength of those two issues. I've started to just use this product to remove blackheads when I don't have the strips to use and find it works very well.
One thing worth mentioning is that you really need to cleanse with a lot of warm water to remove those beads that refuse to budge. They are as always recommended BLISS products an toners to use.
This is £25 for only 125ml, quite a bit of money to spend on a small bottle. It only lasted three weeks and not as long as I had hoped. Long term I have decided not to use it and make it my main pore cleanser but I would recommend this for a gentle wash for those who are blessed without blemishes as the product is very good otherwise.
I've used a lot of Bliss skincare products and on the whole I think they're great, but there are a couple of products that are not worth the price you pay for them, and this is one of those. It costs £24 for a 125ml tube from their salons or their website.
They say this scrub is suitable for all skin types and is the perfect prescription for plugged pores. It has naturally round skin scrubbing grains to clear away complexion clogging dead cells and make large pores less visible.
It comes in a very clean looking white tube with a flip lid that it stands on. This is probably the most robust lid I've ever seen on this type of product, and it also fastens tightly to avoid spillage.
The scrub is more of a paste than a cream or lotion, it really is quite thick, and it has little blue speckles in it which are the scrubbing grains. It smells like sweet lemons, but the scent isn't that strong. To use it you need to dampen your skin and use a pea sized amount to gently scrub your skin, paying more attention to areas that are dull, clogged or oily, then rinse it off.
The texture of the scrub makes it quite difficult to use, it doesn't spread easily over your face like scrubs with thinner consistencies do. I can barely feel the grains in it when I'm using it so it doesn't feel too harsh. It does take quite a while to do the whole of my face because it's so difficult to spread around, but when it comes time to rinse it off it comes off easily enough.
After I've used it my skin does feel smooth, but not as smooth as it does when using a lot of much cheaper scrubs. My skin goes quite pink for a while afterwards and feels a little sore (and I don't have sensitive skin) which suggests that it may have been too harsh after all, but this does go away fairly quickly. I don't feel like this has unplugged my pores though, even after using it regularly for a few weeks. In all honesty I don't feel like it's done anything for my skin at all.
All in all, I do not think this is worth the price you pay for it, it doesn't work anywhere near as well as much cheaper products, like St. Ives apricot scrubs for example, so save your money by buying one of them instead.
