I am in my late twenties and I am conscious that I need to look after my skin if I am not to end up looking old before my time. I thought I would invest in a new night cream in a bid to keep myself looking young and because I have greasy and spot prone skin I chose one that was specifically designed for those with oily skin. After a little bit of deliberation, I chose Beautiful Skin Night Cream for Normal/Oily skin by No7. What does the product do? The product promises to help oily skin behave like normal skin. It claims that it will hydrate and nourish the skin while you sleep, leaving you with bright and beautiful skin when you awaken. The light cream promises not to block pores, to rebalance the skin's natural oil production which should work together to prevent blemishes from appearing. It also contains Zinc which is a great ingredient for preventing spots and it also contains vitamins which should leave your skin looking healthy and radiant. The product is also suitable for those with senstive skin. How do you use the product? The product is to be applied to cleansed skin just before you go to bed. You need to scoop some of the cream from the pot and then massage it into the skin at night time. When you wake up, you cleanse your skin and continue with your usual skin care routine. Packaging and Price The product comes contained within a clear plastic jar although it looks like it's actually made out of glass. I can't figure out which one it is. Inside the glass jar, there is a minty green tub. The packaging makes it look like you have got much more of the product than actually do. The product is protected by a white screw top lid. I bought the product for £13 and for that money, I received 50ml of the cream. It can be bought from Boots and also from their online website. Application and Performance The product smells really fresh and clean. It has an aroma of cucumbers but other than that, it doesn't really smell of anything and it wouldn't be enough to put anyone off. The product is white in colour and the cream is fairly thick in consistency. When you apply the product to the skin, it feels instantly hydrated and it makes my skin feel more comfortable immediately. It does feel a little bit greasy on my skin and it did make my face feel a little unclean. It also felt a bit tingly on my skin which suprised me for a product which is designed for sensitive skin. It leaves a bit of a sheen on the skin but this didn't bother me as I was wearing it for bedtime. When I woke up in the morning my skin still felt hydrated but it did look a little bit greasier than usual and my skin didn't look particularly bright or healthy. The worst part was that the product made me break out in tiny little white heads which obviously I hated. I gave the product one more chance but the same thing happened. The product did hydrate my skin really well, but it took the radiance from my skin. It doesn't take much for me to get blemishes and this may work better on other peoples skins but it just didn't work on me. I think this one will be going on Ebay! Conclusion All in all, this product was really hydrated but considering this is being marketed as a product for oily skin it did cause me to develop blemishes and it did cause me to feel a bit greasy. This may work for others but it didn't work for me and I won't be using it again.
