I recently bought this as I used to get my eye make-up off with face wipes, but found I was having to scrub at my eyes and pull at my lashes, which really cant be good for them so I decided to invest in a make-up remover. Botanics currently have an offer on where there is a 3rd off their products so I decided to invest in their eye make up remover.

I was torn between getting a cream based one and an oil based one, but since I have started to wear liquid eye liner I thought an oil based one would be more effective at getting off more stubborn make-up.

The eye make-up remover itself has changed from the one pictured above, Botanics have recently re-designed their packaging. It now comes in a tall clear bottle with a white label on the top and a screw off cap which is the same width as the bottle.

The bottle is clear which is good as you can see the different elements inside, the oil stuff and the other stuff, which clearly separate when left alone. Before use you have to really vigourously shake the bottle to get it all to mix together. Then apply a little bit to a cotton wool pad and sweep across your eyes. I find this easily gets rid of almost all make-up, it does leave a little bit of residue behind however, though a splash of water to my face and its all gone. As this is an oil based make-up remover you do need to wash your face afterwards or you will feel like you've dabbed some olive oil around your eyes.

As far as oil based make-up removers go I have used some that have left so much oil on my face its been unbearable, this one however isnt too bad and its easily rinsed away with water.

Overall I would definitely recommend it, it gets rid of stubborn make up easily and is gentle on the skin around the eyes. Definitely better than scrubbing at my eyes with face wipes!
