I hate that feeling when I wake up feeling un-refreshed ~ it's almost like you haven't had any sleep at all! I end up with tired, sore eyes (this is also true if I have had my contact lenses in for a long time the previous day) and I feel as though everyone can see the dark rings around my eyes! This is when I turn to my Natural Collection Cucumber and Eye Bright Cooling Eye Gel (henceforth to be referred to merely as Cucumber Eye Gel ~ or maybe even just "gel") ~~~What is it? It is a gel that you apply around your eyes to ease the discomfort of tired and aching eyes. It contains extracts of Eyebright and Cucumber ~ the former is ... Read the complete review

I first bought this product about 15 years ago (I'm actually shocked it was that long ago!) and I'm still using it today. I have to confess, I don't use this product twice a day as suggested on the tube, but I do use it frequently. I hadn't seen this product about for a while but I came across it a couple of weeks ago whilst browsing in Boots. I was really pleased as my last tube was getting towards the end of its life and I was ready to consider a more expensive product. The tube is pale green in colour with a darker green screw cap lid. The nozzle for dispensing the gel is about 1cm long and slender. It holds 15ml of gel and costs only £1.52 - bargain! ... Read the complete review

I've used a few products in the Boots Cucumber range and thought they were very good value for money. My eye area was kind of dark and tired looking, so I thought I would give their eye gel a go. The gel comes in a small 15ml clear plastic tube with a green lid. It costs £1.49. It has the name of the product printed on the front and the directions and ingredients on the back. It claims to "cool, refresh, reduce puffiness and lightly hydrate the delicate eye area". I don't get any puffiness, but I thought my eyes could do with refreshing and hydrating. The directions are very straightforward. You are simply instructed to "apply ... Read the complete review

Due to the current economic climate, I have been trying to save money on every last thing in which I can. I have recently changed my complete skin care routine by dropping The Body Shop's more expensive products, and changing to Boots Essentials Cucumber range. Having had a good experience with their cleanser, toner and moisturiser, I decided to try out the eye gel as it was really cheap and I didn't have much to lose. The price of this eye gel is £1.52 which really is hardly anything when you compare it to some of the other eye products available. The reason for this price is because it is only available from Boots, and it is part of their own branded ... Read the complete review

I have tried a number of eye gels and creams over the years, usually fairly cheap ones, and have found them to be good for using on the delicate skin around the eyes, but they have not made a dramatic difference to the appearance. The Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel is suitable for all skin types, and is enriched with vitamins and soothing cucumber. The ingredients list doesn't actually say which vitamins it contains though. The Eye Gel is packaged in a small pale green tube with a darker green screw top lid. The instructions say that it should be applied gently around the eye area twice a day, morning and night. I have found that it is beneficial to apply ... Read the complete review
