Having used various products on my face for the last eight years,I decided to retry my old favourite "boots cucumber" range.This being because my skin has recently suffered quite a battering and I've noticed some not so pleasant side effects of other leading brands. Up until a week ago, I had dark raised purple spots on my cheeks aswell as blackheads on the nose and various enlarged pores across my face. Despite the fact that my face looked oily,and had the 'typical' symptoms of acne prone skin,my skin felt very taut after washing.There would also be dry patches too. ...


So after going through a pile of 'early 2000' memories, and constantly looking at how beautiful my skin was then-which it was,I thought it was high time I ditch all those good for nothing products which haven't done my skin any favours,and I headed off for good old Boots. I went through alot of products there,but was pleasantly surprised to find this one,I thought that by now they would have stopped selling it,but turns out that they haven't.Back in my teenage years I had used this for three years non stop,and my skin never looked more healthier.You could say I experienced a sort of deja vu.I picked up a handful of various products including the moisturising cream from this range.....


Now about the product: The cream is by the boots 'essentials' range and comes in a farely generous 100ml tub.The bottom part of the jar is a pistachio green,and the lid is a medium leaf green. The product says that it is suitable for all skin types and is dermatologically tested.Aside from that it contains antioxidants, cucumber and vitamins. The product has a slightely greasy texture,but is very light.


After doing my cleansing and toning (using other products from this range) I have applied this moisturising cream religiously twice daily,on my skin for two weeks now.The first week I didn't notice any major difference,apart from the fact that my spots and blackheads did not get any worse.But since last friday,theres been an improvement. The markings on my skin have gone down(they're almost flat) and have faded a quite alot. My skin feels much more elasticated and I've noticed a lovely rosy glow to my cheeks. All of this withing two weeks, and no side effects at all.


I honestly look forward to my regime now,before I was cleansing only because I felt I had to,and I would dread the feeling of tightened skin and then spots appearing from nowhere.Now it feels as though I'm pampering my skin,and I look forward to glowing,without makeup on.
I must mention that I have been using other products from this line ,so I would recommend it be used with them too for maximum results.


At £1.49 this product is a great value buy.... this time I intend to stick to boots for a very long time.5 stars!!!!
