Effective and low cost. It you don't mind it's clinical appearance, it might be right for you.

I'm in my late 20s and I have difficult skin. Oily (think shiny forehead before lunch time), spots, but dry skin around my nose area. In the past I have tried quite a few of the more expensive moisturisers available in Boots e.g. La Roche Posay, Vichy. Now there was nothing wrong with these, however Derma Care is now my go to facial moisturiser which I have been using for about 3 months. Let me tell you why. Price - It's only £3.89 for a good quantity that will last for months. Packaging - it's a little clinical, and won't took pretty in your bathroom, but the pump works well and it's easy to control how much comes out - so less wastage. Feel - I didn't find it greasy at all, and I find it settles into my skin and moisturises well without leaving a strange residue on my skin which I've often found with other moisturisers. There is no stinging, in fact it's quite soothing. Smell - There is no smell! Affect on my skin - My skin is in far better condition than with my former more expensive moisturisers. It effectively gets rid of any little dry patches. My skin generally feels less sensitive, and there is a reduction in spots. The shininess of my skin has also reduced - in fact I'd go as far as to say it's no longer shiny! I can only think the balance of my skin has been restored. I even use it around my eye area which I would avoid with some moisturisers - although it's very moisturising, it feels so light. I honestly can't see myself spending £20 pounds on a moisturiser again. I would recommend this to anyone who experiences dry skin.

      Brilliant!

I suffer with dry skin, and so I always try and get a good moisturiser to help my skin. And when I was in my local Boots, I noticed their own light daily moisturising lotion. At first I must admit I was as bit hesitant to buy it, as I prefer to use well known brands such as Nivea and Simple, but I decided to give Boots's own brand a go. It cost £2.54 for a 150ml bottle of this lotion. For me that was a reasonable price. The lotion comes in white bottle with a pump dispenser. On top of the dispenser is a see though lid that you lift off, and then you just push down on the pump, and out comes the lotion. On the back of the bottle it has most of the information you would need such as what it is, how to use, warnings and ingredients. The moisturising lotion claims that it is a light moisturiser for the management of very dry skin, that the lotion is quickly and easily absorbed and starts to work immediately, and it claims that skin feels soothed, relieved and hydrated in just three days. I don't have very dry skin, just quite dry skin on some days. But I decided to get it anyway. To use the lotion is just simple, like any moisturiser. Pump out a small blob on your hand, and rub it in to where you want it to be applied. On the bottle it says that it can be applied to dry areas of the body so I guess you don't have to use it just on your face, it also says for best results use daily. The lotion itself is white, and it doesn't have a scent. I applied the moisturiser to my face first. I found that a little goes a long way with this product. I only pumped out a small amount and it was enough for my whole face. I think its because the moisturiser is quite runny (not in a bad way), but its just not that thick, so the lotion spreads around your face easily. When I applied the lotion, it didn't sting or give me any reactions, which is especially good as I have sensitive skin! I next applied it to my earlobes. Ok, I know this sounds weird, but sometimes my earlobes get quite bad dry skin. Well anyway so I applied it to my earlobes. As I've already said the lotion spread around my skin easily, and it absorbs easily too, so after I applied the moisturiser to my face, I could straight away start applying my make up. I definitely noticed a different to my ears straight away, the skin looked a lot less dry on them and they definitely looked more moisturised. My face wasn't really that dry on that day, so I didn't notice a difference, but it did feel smooth and hydrated! Like it had promised. I continued to use this lotion daily, and I have noticed an improvement. I am pleased to say that my ears are hardly covered in dry skin anymore. And whenever my face gets a bit dry I just apply the lotion and my skin is a lot better! I will definitely continue to buy and use this lotion. I use this product daily, and it has lasted me a long time so far, as I only need a small amount every time. It has helped my skin a lot! But remember people who don't have dry skin, i wouldn't recommend this product for you, as it would probabaly just make your skin greasy! I find that this product is better then other brands I have previously used, and I will be looking out for more Boots's own brand products.
